This place is really amazing. The food is SOO good. sometimes depending on the chef the food isn't that amazing, but the majority of the time, im always stuffed beyond belief with flavorful food. The portion sized are HUGE. I usually share

Pros: Flavor=amazing
Cons: kind of small
Ok, so I am not sure what the big deal is. The place is cute and prices are reasonable, but there is not any drinkage, unless you bring your own, and the food really isn't that great. I had the veal marsala, and it tasted like they had dumped an old bottle of bad wine on top of it. I also had their lasagna another time we went and it also was not great. It is always packed, and I still haven't figured out why.

Pros: Food, PIZZA, pasta, sauces, dear lord the bread and flan
Cons: Ambience doesn't make food taste good dorks, it doesn't count
Alejo's serves great Italian food--large portions, authentic taste, great atmosphere. The only problem is the wait--everytime I've been, I've had to wait at least twenty minutes. That being said, the food is definitely worth the wait, and

Pros: Great pasta, huge portions
Cons: Parking is tricky
This is the best Italian food I've had since moving to the west coast. Its the closest thing to a family style east-coast Italian restaurant you'll find out here... god bless 'em. The first dish I order at a new Italian restaurant: Liguine

Pros: Excellent food.
Cons: Bring your own booz.
Went there last night. I love little dives but I thought this one might be a little too divey (is that a word?). But Im glad I want. Everything was good. There were 8 of us and we did a family style setup so everyone got to sample a

Pros: Great food, large portions, friendly staff
Cons: No parking
The service at this spot is so friendly, and the food is a great taste/cost value. If you have a date that's more impressed by financial smarts than glitz, this is the place to go.

You will leave this place smelling like garlic -- depending on how you feel about garlic - that may be good or bad. Their bread is delicious but many of the dishes lack originality and depth- instead of flavoring the sauces they just pour

Pros: Bread, BYO
Cons: Strip mall, garlic central
If you love garlic, you will enjoy the food. I have been here twice and both times the place has been absolutely packed with people and very loud. Not a good place for a date. You come for the cheap italian eats, but you are elbow to

Pros: good pasta with big portions

Alejo's rocks! I love this place. I love the garlic. I love the oil. I love the entrees. I love the price. I always go to the Westchester location. It looks like a cafeteria inside. But it's all about the food. Go here. You won't

Pros: Great Food, Great Price!
This is the restaurant you go to when you and your spouse drag yourself in the door, look each other in the eye, and realize that if you're waiting for them to cook, you'll both starve first. Then someone suggests, "Let's go to Alejo's"

Cons: It's a busy place and you have to BYOB
I agree with the reviewer below. This is a good place with great value for your money, but 9.7 is too high unless you would rate garlic a 10. The food is good. The prices are low.

It always amazes our out of town visitors that an Italian restaurant this good is located in a corner mini-mall alongside a 7-11! Their pasta is NOT made on the premises, it is the dried in the box variety, but that is very appropriate for their heartier sauces and does not reduce the quality of their pasta dishes one iota in my estimation. We are also addicted to their their thin & crisp pizzas and their chicken entrees. The Chicken Marsala (which is drowning in yummy butter & Marsala sauce) is flanked by what must be at least a half Lb. of sliced fresh mushrooms, perfectly sauteed with whole garlic cloves and herbs, this also comes with a generous side dish of pasta. I prefer to substitute angel hair for the spaghetti and, for a small charge, you can request any of their special sauces including Alfredo, Carbonara or pesto..really great!. A word to the wise though, the kitchen staff is primarily hispanic, not Italian, and sticking to the items on the menu is your best bet. We had an odd discussion with the waiter who insisted that carbonara comes with red sauce,,,hmm, they mix red & white sauce 1/2 & 1/2 on their Carbonara..odd..but, OK! The bread and garlic oil is over the top...you'll reek, but it's worth it!
PROS: Great cheap Ital., BYOB, no corkage!
CONS: Hard to park and sometimes a long wait at peak hours

Pros: good food, inexpensive, lively
Cons: parking, crowded
Finding a parking space will be painful, the wait perhaps long, and you'll take one look at this place (located in a strip mall near a 7-11) and think twice about entering but don't let the challenges keep you from entering this garlic

The food is top notch. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is a bit of a hole in the wall.
4Good food for the price -- it's not gourmet Italian, but it's good, solid, homestyle Italian for a really reasonable price. Their BYOB policy makes it even more affordable.

I love Pizza, pasta, salad, you name it - at Alejo's it is all good! I especially love the bread and garlic they give with every meal! I like to take mine to go, because it doesn't have a lot of setting room and isn't very intimate.

Well worth the wait in cramped quarters. Any place that smells that good when you come in has to have great food. You'll be so full you're ready to explode and happy as pie nonetheless!

This is one of those "hole in the walls" that really make you appreciate holes in walls. Their shrimp dishes are delicious. I highly recommend the Chicken Marsala, their bread and garlic and oil dip are the best. Go and take it for a test

The food is so good they could get away with charging substantially more money for it. Of course, they'd have to move to a different location because the decor is nothing special.
