Pros: Exquisite, Delicious, Number One

This is the best steak and shrimp I have ever had. I was skeptical, but this national chain beats most Texas steakhouses. The service was unbeatable and you are pampered like an only child. Try the Stag's Leap wine to top off the experience.

To much for to little, very expensive sizzle. You are nickle dimed for everything, to many decisions. If you are a first timer you don't get informed that everything is extra.

I looked foward to my first experience at Ruth's Chris for a long time. I ended up very disappointed. I was treated as if they were doing me a favor for serving me an overpriced, small, altogether not very satisfying piece of meat. After my visit I began to contemplate vegetarianism. My best experiance so far for steak in LA is a the Porterhouse Bistro. (No, I do not work there!)

I've been to Ruth's Chris in Toronto many times and it was always amazing. The decore is very cozy and clean. All the staff treat you great!(even if you're not dressed up) The food was amazing! The steak just melted in your mouth and it was cooked exactally how we ordered it (black and blue for me). I've had alot of great steaks but Ruth's Chrises has always been the best. All the food is great. I hope I get to the first Ruth's Chris steak house in New Orleans someday.

Coming from Chicago, I always find an opportunity to hit a top notch steak joint in town whenever good freinds are in town. Ruth's Chris is the best in LA having been to many others. The filet mignon is simply the best I've ever had including very close comparisons to Gibson's and Morton's in Chicago. It's pricey, but worth every cent. The sidea and appetizers are also top notch.

I had dinner at Ruth Chris in June and aside from dropping butter on my wifes dress (She ordered lobster) and being rude, I would never darken their door again. Better to eat at Mortons or the Palm.

Dumping a ton of butter on a steak, does not make it good. :(\nnor does the burning sensation as the grease/butter pops onto you when they serve it at the table.\n\n

For the past three years, my husband has treated me to a trip to Ruth's Chris for my birthday. It is certainly worth the wait! I love how they bring the dishes out on sizzling hot plates. The filet (what I usually get) is so tender you barely need to use your knife, and the sides (like delicious asparagus, potatoes au gratin, and stuffed mushrooms) are wonderful. The service is also superb.

We had reservations, but we still had to wait forty five minutes for our table. Our waitress got our order wrong. The steaks were tough and overcooked. The atmosphere was acceptable except for the fact that the scent of butter was heavy in the air. Also, the steaks had very little flavor.

I've traveled and entertained all over the country. Ruth's Chris in Beverly Hills is the best. General Manager Daniel Hecko and his attentive staff take their jobs seriously and always make guests feel comfortable. The food is excellent and you quite simply cannot get a better filet anywhere in Los Angeles. The salmon is fantastic too (order it blackened). They get a ""10.""

I was highly anticipating trying out the new woodland hills Ruth's Chris. My ribeye was bland. I've made better steaks at home. In fact our whole table agreed that the food is incredibly overated. I was very disappointed in the meal.

You havn't eaten a steak until you have visited this place. A good way to impress your date if (s)he has never been. The only other place that comes close is the Mission Inn in Riverside county. First class service is the best. Forget French cuisine and go to Ruth's Chris Steak House! By the way, wash your car and tip the valet before and after your meal. They'll treat your car nice and park it in the front.

Ruth Chris is an elegant restaurant. The service was fantastic. Let's get to the meat(and other food with less importance). The petite fillet mignon was great! I had it with a baked potato, which was good but took up valuable room for meat. The desert was much better than I had first expected. The cheesecake was wonderful and makes me think that it should be called Ruth's Chris Steak and Desert House. If the value was a bit better, I have reservations every night.

Having been to several Ruth's Chris restaraunts across the country, I have to agree with the fact that it is the best steak house around. The bisque is incredible and compliments the a la carte veggies and apps very well. The New York and Porterhouse are great, but nothing compared to the taste and texture of their baby filet.

There was NOT ONE thing bad about this place. I dined alone the first time, although side dishes are served 'family style', I had the BEST leftovers ever. I spent about $60, including tip and would gladly do it again for streak, potatoes, salad and wine. I tell all my friends and family about this place. The filet mignon was DIVINE, garlic potatoes scrumptuous, May Tag blue lettuce wedge was just want I wanted. The service SUPREME and seated immediately, ambiance to die for.

If I am going to pay $22.00 per lb. for a lobster, I would expect a fresh lobster instead of a frozen one. The filet was excelent no doubt about that. And for a retaurant that specializes in steaks, you would think that they would have good steak knives! forget it! My fork was a lot sharper than the knife I had!

Great service however, for a place known for steaks, they over-cooked my filet! I asked for medium and they serviced it well done on the outside an barely pink on the inside. The stuffed mushrooms were delicious. The mashed potatoes are to die for. We brought our own wine and corkscrew and they tried to charge us $20 for cork service! Of course, i asked them to take it off.

To me, they have the very best Filet in town. I simply love thier tender and juicy steak. You need to order side dishes separately and it's pricy. If you want to treat your wife or date, I recommend this place. Every guest at this restaurant will feel they are special.

I would truly recommend Ruth Chris Steak House to any meat-loving carnivore that might have a spare paycheck lying around. The atmosphere is quite cozy and romantic. Without a doubt the food and service was some of the best I have ever had. As with any five-star restaurant you should make reservations and come with a hearty appetite.

My fiance & I decided to dine at Ruth's Chris for our anniversary. Honestly, I have never had a better meal or overall experience in my life. The steaks were PERFECT and the lobster was divine. We even had enough to eat for the next day (yeah, I know a little unclassy to ask them to pack it up, but when you have a meal that creates this much joy, you take home whatever is left over). The place has NO pretention, just friendly, attentive, helpful servers who know what they're talking about. I would recommend this place to everyone-truly a dream of an experience!!

If you have a huge appetite, Ruth's Chris Steak House is the place for you. For someone with a normal appetite, you'll probably leave stuffed. The steak is very rich - probably the sauce doesn't help - but it does taste good. The sides are basic, but nothing fantastic. I enjoyed my meal - but it took me about a day to recover. Plop, plop, fizz, fizz....

I feel like Homer Simpson workin' on a Krispy Kreme eating the steak here, it is uniformly fantastic in a way that even Morton's and Smith & Wollensky have a hard time attaining. The service is always unctuous and special--it almost feels like the servers are covering their bases in case you are some bigwig who could drop a $100 tip or get them fired at any moment. The interior in the place could be more luxurious for the price. And the wine list is a little showy--not enough in $40-or-less category.
