Pros: none

Cons: didn't listen to what i requested

I discovered Ohm in an article I read in Allure magazine (Sept. 09). Since the editor was from NYC, had very high standards, and highly recommended Ohm (in particular the stylist, Sierra) I thought I would give it a try. I am pleased to report Sierra gave me the best cut I have received in a year in LA (I moved here from NYC a year ago). She really listened to my description of what I wanted, asked questions about particular sections and how I wore my hair, and talked me through her process as she was cutting to avoid errors. She is also an incredibly warm, down-to-earth person which made the experience even more enjoyable. The style of my cut is not easy b/c it involves long layers, and my hair is straight so it has to be cut well or it doesn't lay correctly or fall at the right angle - Sierra was excellent and I would recommend her for editorial, or to any of my friends. FYI - the cut was $85 which I thought was reasonable.

Pros: Skilled Stylist

Cons: Uncomfortable hair sinks (they hurt your neck)

You know those rare times when someone delivers more than you anticipated? I just had that experience with Melissa at Ohm Salon and it didn't cost me my entire pay check. This chick is awesome. I told her what I wanted and she took it to a new level. I actually have other guys asking me wher I got my hair cut. Place is kinda tiny and parking is not teh easiest on Abbot Kinney but I did get a free beer.

Pros: Hot and talented stylist

Cons: a bit small

Let me begin by saying, I recently moved out of the Venice area and got a terrible haircut/color in a new place. I've thought long and hard, and instead of writing a bad review of this new place (in Burbank), I'm going to be positive and write about the great experiences I USED to have in Selena's care. She always gave me the cut and color I wanted and was honest about whether a particular style or color would suit me. My curly hair never looked healthier and more stylish- no easy feat fellow curly-heads will note. I looked forward to getting my hair done because not only did it feel like a much-needed pampered experience, but Selena and I would fall into relaxed converstaion, so it was also like visiting an old friend. She's a warm, mellow and interesting person who definitely knows her trade. Go see her, she's great.

Pros: style, color, conversation

Cons: n/a

First of all, I find it interesting that none of the bad reviews mention the names of the stylists who gave them such horrible experiences (while most of the positive reviews do). While I don't feel quite the same level of passion for ths place as some of the 5-star reviewers, I find it really hard to imagine that anyone will leave this place with their hair falling out -- all of the women who work at Ohm are professional and well-trained.

I had a haircut and highlights with Farzeneh. She's a lovely, spiritual soul and I enjoyed our conversation. Her highlights were fantastic - very natural looking, but absolutely enhancing everything from my hair to my skin-tone. She suggested adding some low-lights to counteract the increasingly bleached nature of my color, and she was spot-on -- they added depth and richness, and I was extremely pleased. Her haircut was good, but not my favorite. I will probably try one of the other stylists there, because sometimes I think it just takes the right "fit."

I like the vibe of this place, but don't expect a spa atmosphere. It's in a gutted craftsman home, very friendly and laid-back, but not luxurious. More energetic than zen. I wasn't offered wine like some of the other reviewers. But it's definitely a place that you enjoy spending time - a little vacation from the grind. I would definitely recommend Ohm to other people.

Pros: Individualized hair consultations

Cons: Expensive -- as any good haircut and color is

Ok, I'm really really surprised to see any bad reviews about this place on here - and believe me, I'm not overly generous with compliments. First of all - I've been going to Margo for over two years - she's such an amazing stylist, artist and person that I'm pretty sure if she ever left or moved away, I'd be totally devastated. I always like to do something crazy with my hair, either wanting to go extreme with 4 different colors, wanting to look totally completely natural or wanting to die it from my blonde to jet black - and she's right there, telling me if it will look good or bad and then making it look as though I just stepped out of a catalog. I'm really not kidding here people, she's more talented and has more of a vision than anyone I've ever seen in LA, NYC, Australia, London, or Italy (all places I've gotten my hair done more than once) ... Now then for Rohanna, the owner - what a complete sweetheart. I came in less than two weeks before my wedding and decided I wanted hair extensions. (The turn-around time for even ordering is two weeks) - but she simply said No Problem and rushed them to get there in a week.....Now I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I was really really nervous about hair extenstions, I didn't want my hair to look fake or over the top... well, I walked out of OHM feeling like a princess. She did a suberb job of setting the extensions, then cut them up so that it went with my hair perfectly and to the point where today people are actually saying "wait, something about you is different" .. You can't remotely tell that I have extensions, they look as natural as can be. I NEVER write reviews, but felt it my duty on this one. This is the least pretentious salon in Los Angeles, and everyone is always happy and laughing. It's truly a relaxing therapy session without the annoying therapist. I'd recommend to everyone without hesitation! And people that are just writing bad reviews because they are vendictive, I'd watch out for your karma!

Cons: um, I honestly can't think of any....

i will never use citysearch again, i wrote a legit bad review about the stylist and salon and it seems to have been removed, so apparently citysearch isn't as credible as i thought. what a disappointment.
ohm is terrible.

i live a good 45 minutes away and i come to this salon whenever i'm getting a drastic haircut. its non-intimidating and the girls who work there are very cute. my hairdress, jen, did a consultation with me and i came out very happy with my new, short bob.

I chose this salon after seeing all of the great comments on citysearch. I must say that I am extremely disappointed. I called in advance and explained that I would like someone who is very experienced with color/highlights and whoever answered the phone said that anyone I got would be good since they all specialized in color (with an annoyed tone in her voice). I should have known better that they would say this about anyone who worked there. I decided to make an appt anyway. I went in and told her I like a VERY natural look and that I did not want to look skunky/striped in any way. I also explained that I wanted the best grey coverage. So in the middle of doing my highlights, she said it would be best to change my base color (add on another $85). SO I agreed trusting her. Ummm, my highlights look more grown out than when I walked in the door because the color blead up into the bleach. I had also explained to her that my hair was very fragile and she still pulled the bleach all the way through to the ends. NO hairdresser does this on already bleached/highlighted hair (even with the lowest volume). Then in the middle of doing my hair, she dried it and then went back in to supposedly fix the big stripes and add a couple more since it looked so grown out. I did not get a haircut but apparently I didnt need to since my hair is now breaking off. I feel really bad because she was a very nice girl but I would not even go back to get my hair fixed. I think sometimes hairdressers just give you what they think looks good and not what you ask for. I feel bad for even writing this but I am so bummed about my hair :(

Pros: Nice Stylist

Cons: Bad color job

I was a client of Malina's for years and she always does a great job. She is super sweet and friendly, and always listens to what you want. The owner is great - the first time I went there I had an issue with a miscommunication with a different stylist (not there anymore), and the owner ("Rohanna" I think), was perfectly accomodating. Ohm offers free bangs trims in-between cuts, which is very convenient. I have been super sad to leave Ohm, but the only reason I am not going there anymore is that I am a student and I just can't afford it anymore :-( I will miss you Ohm!

Pros: great stylists & colorists (Malina & Farzaneh are great), no sales pressure, great neighborhood - shops/coffee/pinkberry!

Cons: a bit pricey ($90 for single process color - i have longer hair), but I guess typical for trendier LA salons

When I first arrived in LA I had a terrible time finding the right salon and had many bad haircuts. I came to Ohm on the basis of the recommendations here (would be a shame if someone gave any credibility to the recent comments) and could not have been more satisfied. Jen seems to have an instictive understanding of what I want - every haircut is perfect and lasts a long time (touch ups of bangs are offered at no cost). This salon is real find.

I've been going to Ohm for over about 2 years now and every stylist is amazing and has their own talent and style. I had a hard time finding a good salon in LA that wasn't pretentious, and you didn't have to sell an organ to get your hair cut. And I'm more experimental with color and style so I was looking for some creativity and funk vs the everyday hair styles you always see. I love Rohanna and she really works with me to get the right look and makes great suggestions. I'm not sure what beef this user/users are having with this salon but I consistently receive great service and it is clean, professional yet fun, creative, relaxed and comfy. I've never had product sold to me either. I've recommended this place to a couple people now and they love it, even though they are more conservative than me with their look. Parking is never a problem - just go into the residential streets (free parking!) and walk 1 block to the salon. Try to find that anywhere else in the city!

I went to Melissa the other day and had the best hair experience ever. I wanted to take her out for dinner after! All I have to say is hello? This girl actually has a degree in Fine Arts! She actually STUDIED color theory in college! Why those weren't the first words out of her mouth is a mystery to me. After she told me that my nerves about coming to a new stylist were calmed and I sat back and enjoyed the ambiance. I got the best highlight job of my life. She is the quickest and the most meticulous (not sure how that is possible) hairstylist ever. I come from New York as well and know good stylists/ salons and this one tops the charts. The atmosphere is very breezy and sunny and the vibe is chill, but professional. I am sad though because I am moving now! Anyway, do yourself a favor and check her out!

I felt compelled to vouch for Ohm after reading the uber-negative comments below (but to be fair to the nay-sayers, public forums are designed for free expression - no matter what the opinion). At any rate, I have had nothing but HEAVENLY experiences at the salon. My hair is unique, to say the least - naturally/insanely curly, and falls about chin-length when it's at maximum 'fro-status. Suffice it to say, it would be pretty darn easy to mess my hair up; I've left plenty of salons with a blunt-cut, mushroom-esque, frizzy bob. (Not cute.) But Jen truly 'got' it, right from the start. My cuts are always immaculate & adorable (and they grow out beautifully), and she always takes the time to properly style it . . . and side note: Jen is a total kick in the pants. She's personable, talented & generally rad to be around. The salon itself has a great, cozy atmosphere & the products they use smell/feel yummy. Oh, and it's definitely heaps more reasonable (price-wise) than most salons around these parts. Plus, the receptionist is unwaveringly sweet & accommodating. Yay for Ohm!

Cons: If any, parking . . . but I've never had a problem finding a spot on Abbot Kinney or Venice.

My first time there. FYI- The person leaving the bad reviews is CRAZY! so not what the salon is like at all!
Stylist was Pauline she was sooo nice. I got partial highlight and they were exactly what I wanted, great color! (all 2 or 3 of them lol). i was going for a caramel honey blonde look. Her recommendations were right on and she totally understand the look I was going for. We were talking for so long about the most random things that I was there for like 3 hours. And she didn't even try to shut me up. haha.
The only thing i wish i did differently was get my hair cut too. Every girl walking out of the salon got amazing cuts! It's a little pricey but completely worth every penny. My boyfriend never complements my hair he's always like " Yea... it looks ok.. " but when i got home he actually said "wow... your hair looks really nice". That's how i know she did an amazing job. I would definitely recommend this salon.

I was an Ohm client for the last year and saw my stylist every month for color, lowlights and cuts. My hair is long and wavy, and although I've colored it since high school, I've never seen it in as many knots after being washed as I did with this stylist. When I complained about the knots ripping my hair, her solution was to hand me the hairbrush. That experience sums up client service at Ohm. It's marginal, at best. My color was good, but my color has been good at a lot of salons. I went to Ohm mostly because I was too busy at work to look for another salon. Fast forward to last weekend. I went to the salon to get my usual color, but decided on a whim that I would get a makeover for my 10 year college reunion. I asked my stylist if she had a client after me and had time for a cut. She said that she had time. I had no idea what I wanted, except that I wanted a change, so I thought I could brainstorm with my stylist since my hair is long and I was going to cut a lot of length off. She then brought in another stylist to consult with us. HUGE MISTAKE. After 30 minutes of discussion about my hair (she claims it was an hour), my stylist flipped her lid and proceeded to publicly humiliate and berate me in front of the entire salon for another 10 minutes about how rude and insensitive I was for taking up her valuable time to talk about my hair for so long. She then told me that I needed to find a new stylist. When I went to leave, she attempted to charge me for the cut that she didn't have the time to discuss with me. I refused to pay for the cut, but took the high road and gave her a 20% tip on the color (she always got at least a 20% tip from me). In hindsight, I'm thankful she asked me to find a new stylist because I went back to the wonderful stylist I had before at another salon. He's more money, but he really understands what good client service is all about. Apparently, Ohm thinks anyone who values client service just has "too much time" on their hands.

I have been a client at Ohm for over a year now, and I have each time had a wonderful experience. I have referred both my roommate and my boyfriend and they also have had excellent experiences. Plus, you don't have to deal with the LA attitude and ridiculous prices of most salons in town.

My work brings me to LA a few times a year and I like to try out salons when I have free time.
I decided to try Ohm, after reading the reviews online.

When I think of the word "Ohm" I think of a serene, relaxing, tasteful atmosphere. I was looking forward to that image.
However, my first impression of Ohm Salon, though, was that the name and the salon do not go together.

I was totally surprised at the appearance of the salon. It wasn't what I expected. It's casual but definitely not serene, relaxing or tastefully decorated. For me, that was a dissappointment.
My cut (a trim) and blowdry were okay - not bad - not great. I guess that's why I' m a little surprised by some of the over-the-top good reviews. Anyway, I was more put off by the salon, it's untidyness and lack of atmosphere, than the operator I had.

Prices were above average. Haircut & blowdry with tip was $85.
Bottom line: I was dissappointed and felt duped by the name (ohm) and some of the over-the-top reviews.
Side note: Wasn't not offered any refreshements like other reviewers have mentioned.
Hope this review is helpful.

Cons: Name doesn't reflect salon. Prices are high for type of salon. Not recommended.

Someone must be pranking this salon because some of the reviews posted are just silly and laughably not true. This is a great salon.

I'm a relocated NYer, which means I have spent hundreds on hair cuts and colors at many different top level salons. The service, atmosphere and end results at Ohm exceeded those NYC cuts by far.

I have had my hair done by Paulein for about a year and have received consistently great style and color. I've NEVER had product sold or pushed on me, nor have I ever had any slight damage done to my hair. In fact, it's never been healthier, despite some pretty radical color jobs.

If you're looking for a top level salon with well trained and friendly people, this is it. Oh, and the prices are great.

Cons: parking (what else in LA?)

My hair was damaged at the salon. After this happend, I gave the stylist another shot, as I had been seeing her for a while. She then left my hair discolored. I pointed out discoloration in my hair and was told I could buy a product to fix it or come back another time, which disregarded my busy schedule. I was left with orange spots in my hair during an extremely important (and visible) event in my life. Then there were abrupt cancellations and extreme lateness. I also agree that the salon seemed dirty (dusty products), and robes were reused without washing. I was grossed out by that. My stylist was nice, but no one else seemed that inviting. I wouldn't go back ever.

It was my first time at Ohm and I had an overall fantastic experience. Malina listened and gave me the cut, color and highlights that I wanted. She made me feel very comfortable and we had great conversation. I would highly recommend Ohm to anyone who is in search of a new salon. And ask for MALINA!

Coming from NYC to LA of course I have very high expectations for new salon - let alone a new stylists who can give my old stylist back east, a challenge. Ohm Salon definitely can compete with any top salon in NYC! The atmosphere is friendly yet calming & the customer service on point! Most of all my new stylist, Shannon definitely can rock any girl?s hair and glam it up! I went from jet-black hair to a dark-blonde base with platinum highlights. Two touchup?s later my hair is still in great shape!

Here?s how I knew Shannon was a gem of a find? The very first time I came into the salon, I walked in with a magazine cut out of a celebrity?s hairstyle and said? ?I want my hair like this?. Not only did she make it exactly like it from colour to style! Also, the next time I came in for a touch up she referred to her little book for my colours. As I was looking at the mirror, I glanced at her book as she mixed the formula up and saw that Shannon saved my magazine cut out and put it with my client profile card! Now that?s impressive! She saved it for future reference - Smart & professional! I am confident that she can make my hair LA, glamorous/chic or NYC, hip/cool. She definitely has skills! Even my stylist back east in New York complimented Shannon's skill set (colour and cut). It?s always good times with Shannon and Ohm?s chill salon!

i have been a steady customer of ohm salon for about two years now. jen is my stylist, and she is professional and knows how to work with hair. i see that people (or, perhaps, one person) are writing a number of negative reviews about the salon. i have heard that there is some sort of drama there, and i am not interested in adding my comments to the fray.

what i do want to say, however, is that i have always been treated with respect, i have always been met with professional service, the prices are reasonable, and my haircuts have always been great. that has been my experience thus far. if anyone has gotten poor service or had their hair "messed up" by anyone at ohm salon, that is news to me. ohm is a great place to get your hair done. period.

I love going to the Ohm Salon?.its so cozy! Every time I go there I am always greeted with a friendly hello and the receptionist always offers me a variety of refreshments. I have been going to Jen for 4 years now and I have NEVER had a bad cut! She is such a talented stylist and she really makes you feel comfortable. Her cuts always grow out so nice for me and when we discuss what cut we should do for my hair, she really takes into account my personal style and what cut would best flatter my face/shape of my head. I am constantly being stopped on the street by people who ask who does my hair, so much to the fact that I carry her cards around with me wherever I go! I recommend you go to Jen, you will never want another stylist again!

The haircut I got was quick and sloppy with "friends" layers -- not my style at all. Fortunately, hair keeps on growing, but if I want a haircut like this again, I'll go to Supercuts and then buy a top with the money left over. (Don't mean to slag Supercuts. I'm sure they try harder.) The salon itself, is casual, but could be a little cleaner. The stylist I had was NOT a good listener and a bit arrogant for my taste.

I can't say enough about Ohm! As others have mentioned, finding a good salon when you're new to Los Angeles is a NIGHTMARE. I was impressed by the reviews that Ohm had received, and I was REALLY impressed when I saw that the owner replied to negative comments. Their website was nice too, so I gave them a call. They were polite and friendly on the phone, so by then I was really looking forward to my appointment. By the time it rolled around, my expectations were really high, and this turned out to be well-founded. Ohm is located in a fun area of town that's great to walk around in. I didn't mind having to park a little ways away. The salon has such a peaceful setting- the wood ceiling was a nice change from high-end salons that try to look modern with boring utilitarian decor. It was really easy to feel comfortable here. I got there a bit early, and I was told that I'd be my stylist's (Sierra) first client of the day. They pointed me to the hairstyle books and offered drinks to my husband and I. When Sierra arrived, she introduced herself to my husband and I and she actually listened to me when I explained what I was looking for in a haircut. She looked over my hair, which is rather unmanageable, and explained exactly what she was going to do with it. After a shampoo and scalp massage with a nice minty conditioner, she went to work. My hair is very fine in diameter, but I have a lot of it. It's pretty frizzy and just a huge pain to deal with. I had a lot of dry ends too. Within an hour, my hair was sleek and straight, with choppy layers in front to frame my face. I actually liked how my hair looked for the first time in YEARS! No high pressure product sales when I was done- Sierra recommended I try a shampoo and conditioner, but gave me smaller bottles to be sure I liked it. My husband loves my haircut too and he can't stop looking at me. He told me I should have given a larger tip! I am so glad that I found a salon that I liked so I will take his advice next time!

Being new to Los Angeles and trying to find a good salon can be a nightmare! Found Ohm on city search and couldn't be happier! I usually have my sister do my hair, however the 4 hour car ride is getting to be too much! Paulien was great! She not only listened to how I wanted my hair but also made some great suggestions! She took her time and treats bangs like a seperate cut! I have never had someone take that much care for my hair before! She also is just a generally interesting person, she seems lke she can talk to anyone about anything! I got the best cut ever and felt very comfortable the entire time. Also, being a college student, the price was just right! $60 cut! My hair looks like a vidal sassoon masterpiece! She's only there a few weekdays, but you can still see her after you get off work! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This is a true gem of a salon, and lives up to its great reviews! Malina is the BEST! She's so talented, and makes you feel right at home. I called on a Saturday afternoon to make a Sunday morning appointment, and it was not a problem. The hours are flexible, and the stylists (like MALINA!) are top quality. I feel so lucky to have found my way to Ohm.

With all these ravings reviews, I had to go and try our the Ohm Salon. And I was not disappointed! I asked for a cut that would look good even when I don't did not blow-dry (or even air dry for that matter), which is my standard, and was met with understanding and respect for a change. Siena was the sweet stylist that took care of my odd request.
My hair looks great, straight out of the shower, just like I wanted. I am definitely going back to see her in a couple months!
Besides, great value for your money.

I visited Ohm Salon on a Friday evening, and Jen Bender cut my hair. It was a major cut (I cut off more than 8 inches) and the look was perfect. She worked with the texture of my hair to give me a cut that is simple to style, extremely sleek and modern. She also took into consideration how much time I usually spend on my hair and my activity level. In addition, she took into consideration the shape of my face, and placed layers around my face to accentuate my cheekbones. I came home, and the boyfriend said, "That cut really showcases your face, and you look beautiful!" Dang, Jen is fabulous. My cut was $60 (a little pricier than my usual $50 cut, but worth it).

I hardly ever plan in advance. When I need a haircut, I have to get it done. This usually leads to calls about town searching for someon to squeeze me in...and Ohm was able to! I'd never been there before but my stylist Jen was amazing! I didn't really know what I wanted, just knew I wanted to keep it long-ish but my hair was just so lank and boring - just lays there. Man, did she take care of that! I also feel like I have thinning hair and she made it look thick and showed me some tricks of the trade to create that effect. I left feeling and looking beautiful. She really took her time to get the cut just right and took her time drying it too. No rush with the scissors here! Thanks bunches!

When she finished and I looked @ my hair I thought "I should be getting married today my hair looks so good"....even though I was just going back to work.... I have long hair and always have fear about stylists cutting too much off... but Melissa gave me great layers while keeping my length...She was patient with me,really listened to what I wanted, and used her creativity to give me a new look....A few of her other clients highly recommended her to me for her styling and color...So... I'm looking forward to what she will do with my color next week....

I'd been seeing one of the "top" Beverly Hills hair stylists for almost 20 years and I wanted a change (or someone to spend time and figure out what to do with my hair!). I found Ohm Salon on this site. I called and was told Malina would be doing my cut. From the first time I met her, I felt comfortable and the color and cut she did was incredible. Even my friends were impressed - and all they've done for years is complain about my hair cuts. She takes time to talk and to listen. She selected the color for my hair and it's the best I've ever had. And she found a way to make my out-of-control hair manageable - and this is from someone who hates to have to do anything with her hair. I HIGHLY recommend not only Ohm, but Malina in particular.

I've been to Ohm once before and the cut was good, but this time I had an appointment with Malina and she gave me the best cut and highlights since I've been in LA (and it's been 5 years!!) ! I got instant compliments!!!
Also, my cut and color took a bit longer than expected and we were the last ones in the salon, but Malina did not even mind. She wanted to make sure it was perfect.
Price was just right at $155.

I spent 3 years looking around L.A for a decent stylist in a good salon. When I found Melissa I was "one for two". Great stylist, terrible salon...then she moved to Ohm Salon. I've been going to her for years and have never, NOT ONCE had a bad experience. All of the stylists are very professional, very creative, not to mention fun, hip and cool people. I just read these ridiculous reviews and can clearly see that someone doesn't know a good salon when they see one. Ignore them and pay attention to somebody who does. I've recommended Melissa to my friends and that is the BIGGEST compliment of all.

After being frustrated with a hair salon that is highly rated on citysearch, I was on the prowl for a hip boutique-style hair salon that was reasonably priced and had good energy about it. Where do you find that in LA, right?! Loved OHM. Selena was great and I've received quite a few compliments on my color. Will definitely be returning.

i stumbled across this salon a year ago after moving from the east coast w/ my hair in shambles - and i've been hooked ever since!! tiffani is wonderful - she knows exactly what i'm looking for as soon as i sit down in her chair - and i always walk out of OHM w/ an awesome cut that earns countless compliments days, weeks, months later!! the atmosphere is so inviting as well - everyone is super friendly & laid back - definitely a nice little escape that blends in perfectly w/ the eccentricity of abbot kinney/venice. i got my roommate hooked as well!! although the now-defunct 1st-time customer special is what drew me in initially, i'm totally willing to shell out the extra bucks just to let tiffani work her magic on my hair - she's a sweetheart!!

i stumbled across this salon a year ago after moving from the east coast w/ my hair in shambles - and i've been hooked ever since!! tiffani is wonderful - she knows exactly what i'm looking for as soon as i sit down in her chair - and i always walk out of OHM w/ an awesome cut that earns countless compliments days, weeks, months later!! the atmosphere is so inviting as well - everyone is super friendly & laid back - definitely a nice little escape that blends in perfectly w/ the eccentricity of abbot kinney/venice. i got my roommate hooked as well!! although the now-defunct 1st-time customer special is what drew me in initially, i'm totally willing to shell out the extra bucks just to let tiffani work her magic on my hair - she's a sweetheart!!

Trying to find a stylist who is amazing at color, skilled in cutting and just a cool person is almost impossible. Finding that Stylist in a hip, laid back salon is almost unheard of, but I found it at Ohm. My stylist Paulien rocks! I literally drive 45 minutes every 6 weeks each way to see her because I cannot find anyone who even comes close. I have always left there feeling amazing and have never received anything but compliments on how great my hair looks. Paulien and Ohm are a must visit!

I've been going to Ohm for six months now - Melissa is the best, really. My sister also goes to Ohm - she has really curly hair, and is always happy with her haircut. The staff have always been nice, and the atmosphere is great. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Wow, I walked out paying 65 dollars for a very "experiemental" haircut, not by my choice, but after the salonist couldn't cut my hair straight she insisted on giving me this great cutting edge do. My bangs are now 1" long and I look like a lollypop kid gone wrong. Thanks alot for the Fatima. I would never recommend this place.

I can't say enough good things about Ohm, and especially about my stylist, Paulien. The staff is incredibly friendly and kind, down to offering tea or wine while you are waiting to sit down. In a city that is known for its materialism and pushiness, the stylist ot Ohm are warm and down-to-earth. Paulien is completely lovely in every way - she listens to my requests and makes me feel beautiful. A big THANK YOU to everyone at Ohm - I recommend them whenever I can. Paulien especially.

It took me a year to work up the nerve to try a new salon after an AWFUL cut at Rudy's Barbershop, and OHM WAS GREAT! I got my hair cut by Paulein, who worked wonders on my wily, curly, out-of-control hair. Everyone there was really nice and accomodating, it wasn't crowded. My appointment was right on time. On top of that, it's in the cutest little cottage ever. I will definitely go back. A+

Ohm really stands for "Ohmigod, what have you done to my hair?!?" Despite asking for very little cut off, I now have more layers in the back than I wanted. They'll probably take a year to grow out. One side is longer than the other, too. When I called to get it fixed they had the nerve to want to charge me for another cut. I'd recommend going somewhere else.

I have naturally curly and slightly unruley hair. I went over to Ohm and linked up w/ Melissa - she was great, still is. She took good care of my fragile hair and made it look great! I would highly recommend the salon and her to anyone. Friendly, fun yet professional atmosphere in a great neighborhood!
