I have eaten at the restaurant several times and bought cakes and other baked goods here regularly. King's Hawaiian servers are all exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I came here with kids and among adults. I was amazed with the food, the quality and quantity of it. One of their dinners equals two meals for me. Their cakes are super delicious, their croissants taste like the original from France and everything is actually baked on site, not delivered. If you have any sort of sensitivity to any food ingredient, this is the place to go, as every staff member either knows or will find out for you if you can have a certain pastry. Five stars all the way.

This is the best palce to get Hawaiian food on the "main land" as people from Hawaii calls California. They are famous for the Hawaiian sweet rolls. The Kalua pork is very good and they have the Hawaiian Sun drinks there as well.

My office always gets a cake for employee's birthdays, and almost everyone in the office always wants the cake from Hawaiian Bakery. I also have some vegans in the office I work for, I had to find out what types of ingerdents the cakes are made with and I found that the cakes are completely all natural ingredients. Really the best cake you have, its tecture is so light and weightless. You'll love it

If you have never tasted the wonderful bakery items at King's Hawaiian Bakery, run, do not walk, to the South Bay legend.

Wonderful rolls, Hawaiian Bread, cakes, etc..

Visit the restaurant for authentic Hawaiian food. My personal favorite is the Moco Loco, a hamburger pattie on a bed of rice, smothered with gravy!

PROS: Fresh baked goods.
CONS: NONE

Authentic Hawaiian restaurant. Food is delicous and fresh. I have friends from Hawaii who go here for some food from home. Most of the plates come with King's Hawiian rolls, which you can buy in supermarkets and create your own recipe.

I come here to get my Hawaiian food fix. The food is really good here....and the desserts are great. This is a pretty popular place and sometimes there is a wait. Definitely try the King's Hawaiian french toast...we always get it no matter what meal we're having, lunch or dinner. I've also had the loco moco here (I think I like L&L's version better), which is not the greatest for a heart-healthy diet. It's a hamburger patty served with a fried egg on top, served on a bed of rice, and plenty of gravy. They also have kimchee fried rice, which is good. I've also had the luau platter (lau lau, chicken long rice, lomi lomi salmon) which can be on the salty side. Their bakery section looks delicious....try one of their chiffon cakes.

The pork and rice at King's is really great! I enjoyed it very much. The restaurant was all abuzz with large families and lots of kids (teenagers) that looked as if they gather there often. As I sat down for my meal, and looked at the menu, It brought back fond memories of high school...the hibachi teriyaki skewers, steamed rice and hunks of King's Hawaiian bread and squeeze parkay they'd serve on special events...aaahhh! I thought that was great eatin back in the day!

The thing that got me all crazy, though, was the pastry with almond slivers...I wish I could remember the name of it. I bought a tin of it, took it home, heated it up in the oven and ate pretty near the whole thing...BY MYSELF! I was out of control! Needless to say, I have to watch myself whenever I visit. Now, I just cast a wary eye on the desserts as I sulk by.

Love going here for a filling meal. You can never pass up anything for dessert from their bakery. Their Macadamia Nut Chicken bowl is under-rated. Large portions of everything, like they serve it at a real Luau. The atmosphere is very comfortable, very roomy so you don't have to squeeze past people or over-hear anothers conversation. Only place in LA that I know serves Malasadas (Portuguese Donuts). Tell me if you know another - enjoy a little of the King.

This review is actually for their bakery. The restaurant is mediocre but their bakery, especially their signature cakes, can't be beat. For chocolate lovers, I'd recommend the Dream or Mocha Haupia cakes.

Kings brings a touch of Hawaii to California. The menu offers many local hawaiian dishes and amazing desserts. The restaurant and staff match the theme of Hawaii. Great food. Great atmosphere.
