I wish I would have researched these crooks before I purchased, I see now there is a lot of negative information about this place. The selection is very good, prices were apparently (at the time) reasonable, and the salesmen appear helpful. We soon learned none of these to be true. They delivered a defective sofa and tried to conceal the damage by bunching up the fabric around the damaged area. They refused to offer any remedy unless I promised to purchase more furniture. They finally repaired the damaged sofa and I kept my word.
I later also learned the salesman who sold the sofa lied about the stain protection we had purchased with the sofa. Salesman Scott sold a protection package that a professional comes to the house to clean any stain. Reality: the sofa gets stained, you get an 800 number to call and they tell you how to clean it. Also, but it only covers human food and only for 5 years...$160.00
The second order of furniture was even worse. They tried to deliver a dining table set completely different from the set we had purchased and wanted to charge us more money for the one we had selected and paid for. We obviously refused the set and now they are refusing to refund the money. The other piece they delivered was a large TV stand which was defective and damaged our wood floor. I have tried to convince them to resolve these matters but office manager Jan Goebel only hangs up the phone on me.
Don't be influenced by the positive feedback they have here, they write them themselves to offset their real customers? feedback.
If you must consider Consumer Furniture, protect yourself by taking photographs of what you purchase and record the statements of the salesman, especially salesman Scott. It probably won't convince the crooked Consumers' management to make things right but your attorney will appreciate it later.

Pros: Large selection of junk product
Cons: Overpriced defective product, better quality at Ikea
Love this store. They are a mainstay in Santa Clarita. I don't normally take the time to fill out a review, but Consumers was so impressive with their service and selection. Sales people where very helpful with the whole process....
5Great quality at a great price . Some stores sell cheap furniture at a cheap price.Consumers furniture sells well made furniture that will last and met the best price I could find. They are one of the only stores left locally and they have been around since mid 1970's. They must be doing something right.

I appreciate the huge selection that they have. Their sales staff is attentive, however, they don't "attack" like some furniture stores. I have found their prices to be a bit high, which has made me comparison shop, but when I find the right piece that will fit where I want, I will gladly go back to this store.

The truth is in the pudding. Consumers Furniture has outlasted the big chains in the SCV and it is because of the service and selection. Everything you could need is right there to furnish your house. The service is great.
5I went to Consumers Furniture to find 2 rooms of furniture. I needed new family room furniture and a computer desk and other office furniture. They had a wonderful selection in a beautiful showroom. My sales person was very polite and not pushy. He showed me all that was available and also showed me items I could special order. I purchased the desk and home office that was in stock and took delivery the next day. The sofa , recliner , and entertainment unit was special ordered and was delivered 5 weeks later. The deliverymen were polite and very careful when in my house. They even offered to put felt pads on the furniture to not scratch my travertine floors. Great Experience

Consumers was unable to provide a timeframe for delivery of 2 items, refused to return my phone calls and with the exception of a mattress, not 1 item I purchased was delivered as ordered or without damage.
Do yourself a favor and read the Better Business Bureau report (they have a D rating) before wasting your time visiting their store. I wish I had done the research before spending a penny there.
