The moment we walked in, the owner greeted us and made sure we were comfortable while we waited for a table. He said it'd take 30 minutes, but it only took 10. Our waiter treated us like good friends, joking around with us and making sure that we were taken care of throughout the meal. Sounds cheesy, but I was blown away, especially because they were so busy. The food was ordered and on our table within 10 minutes, and it was delicious. I had the baked rigatoni with Pinot Noir, and tiramisu for dessert.

My boyfriend took me here for the first time a few days ago and I LOVED IT!!!. I've always been a fan of middle eastern food, and this is one of the best places I've been. We shared several Kabobs, and all of the side dishes were equally

To compare this place with the normal middle eastern restaurants would be like comparing Jack in the box to a fancy Steakhouse. This is one of those places where you literally can point to ANYTHING on the menu and love it. Their k-bobs are wonderful, they also have a chicken and sumac dish where the chicken is diced and cooked in a crispy phyllo dough box---served with yogurt sauce! Mmmmmm! Their portions of Tabouli are large and wonderful- I HATE tabouli where there is no parsley! They do it RIGHT here. Their Fatouche( another salad) is wonderful with a pomegranite dressing that sets is apart from all other versions of this salad I have ever had. Drinks are great- reasonable and tasty! Try the crumbled Baklava on ice cream for dessert! This is worht the 40 mile drive we have to make to get to it! One of our favorite places to dine!

Pros: great food, great drinks, nice decor, attentive staff

Cons: ALWAYS busy- make a reservation!

.

Make reservations as this place is packed. The biryani and kebabs are excellent. Portions are generous, so order family style and get a taste of all their delicious entrees.

The food here is amazing. You can tell that everything is fresh and carefully selected. The chicken kabobs are especially impressive. The restaurant itself is small but has lots of character.

Or I guess, maybe you can explore, but every time I go, I get the lamb kabab. This is the juciest, perfectly cooked great flavored lamb kabab around. The bed of rice is also always nicely done. When you want a nice lamb kabab, go here.

Pros: Best restaurant in the Sunnyvale Downtown

.

A very small Mediterranean restaurant located in the downtown of Sunnyvale. The vegetarian wraps are absolutely the best we have had ! Prices are very reasonable. Definitely worth a trip to eat here and then order more to take home.

I don't know what I was expecting from a Mediterranean restaurant, but it was much better than I was thinking it was going to be. All the sauce/rice dishes we've had there have been excellent. The shishkebob wasn't quite as good, though.

Dishdash is a wonderful restaurant. It was even featured in Check Please, Bay Area in a recent episode. Great Mediterranian cuisine! It's usually very busy every day for both lunch and dinner. I would recommend getting reservations on weekends.

This is our favorite restaurant hands down and has been for years. The lamb menseff and lamb chops are exceptional. The fish is great. Hummus and yummy black tea with fresh mint is so relaxing. They have a smoking room next door with hookahs. I have not tried it since I don't smoke but it makes for an exotic thing to show our friends. Service is always friendly and when the owner is there he always makes a point of visiting all of the tables personally. We have never had a bad meal here. Lunch is great ,you can get a wrap that is to die for. I am always sorry when Sunday comes as they are closed. I could eat here several times a week.

Pros: Best food ever

Cons: Parking can be across the street in the mall.

Went for lunch once. For 2, no drinks, basic kabob and 1 appetizer..$40. Not cheap but not buget buster. Not sure yet if I will go back. Probably the best place to eat on Murphy, however.

PROS: Pretty good prices
CONS: Toooo noisy

Dish dash provides an excellent range of choices for vegetarians and meat lovers alike. The restaurant is well decorated and formal enough for a romantic date, yet casual enough for a weekday lunch. Beyond usual standards such as hummus and falafel, you will find more creative and unusual dishes such as sambusak (stuffed filo triangles filled served with a tahini sauce) which are artistically presented.

PROS: Great, creative food
CONS: Crowded, a bit drafty at times

I should've written this after my 1st bad experience there but I wanted to give them a second chance. Big mistake! Just like the first time, the hostess wanted us to get out after an hour. This time she started clearing our drinks and napkins off the table without even asking if we were done.

Great for sidewalk dining on a sunny day, a date night, or a family dinner. One of my kids loves the grape leaves, another loves the shawarma with hummus - and they are not adventurous eaters. There is an incredible dish with chicken in a creamy sauce with almonds over rice pilaf - I can't remember the name, but you'll want to lick the plate... You'll need a reservation for dinner on a weekend.

PROS: excellent food
CONS: can be hard to get a table on a weekend night

Dish Dash has a really nice atmosphere and is on the main shopping/eating street in Sunnyvale (the same street where the Sunnyvale Farmer's Market is held on Saturdays). They offer a variety of middle eastern foods. I really like the lamb/beef Shawarma wrap for lunch. They don't seem to have the wraps for dinner, so for dinner I've really liked the Zahra (lamb w/ cauliflower and yogurt sauce over rice). The restaurant can get quite crowded, so go early or be prepared to wait. This is not an inexpensive restaurant, but it's not incredibly pricey either.

I just love the creative and delicious dishes served at this restaurant. It is nearly always crowded so it's a good idea to make reservations. They are a bit expensive but not too much, and certainly worth it.

PROS: unique and delicious dishes

Dishdash has the best Mediterranean food, hands down in the Bay area, but only if their service would improve. We have been disappointed with their service atleast 2 times. Once at lunch, when the waiter after serving us food, never came back with the hot sauce we asked for, never refilled our water and never asked if we wanted to order coffee or desert - came straight with the check. The other bad experience was just few days ago - when the host never even greeted us after we standing in front of the station for abt 10 mins - he went abt moving tables around, and doing his own thing. Also, inspite of them not allowing call aheads, said either wait 45 mins or come again! Rude for a host!!! Service sucks!!

Dishdash is the best Med. food restaurant in the south bay, hands down. However, what causes me to actually sign up and write a review was the pushy and arrogant treatment of the hostess on a friday night, who evidently overbooked the evening's large tables. Being one to highly recommend this restaurant to others and having dined there myself, I felt compelled to indicate this so that succeeding visits to this restaurant would not be besmirched by a repeat performance. I do not enjoy my friday night dining experience if I'm to be forced to eat so a later reservation may take our table.

This is one of our favorite restaurants. I crave the shakshuka (prawns with and amazing sauce) for days at a time, and my husband LOVES the Sambusak dajaj (filo stuffed with chicken, mushrooms and almonds). No need to order a starter, they give you pita and a yummy herb and olive oil dip.

The restaurant tends to be loud, so don't go for intimate conversation, and the wait can be a bit long if you don't have a reservation (sometimes even if you do). The food is worth it, altogether.

This place caught our eye as we were checking out downtown Sunnyvale. Their menu drew us in and we enjoyed every bite. The appetizers were kind of skimpy but tasty. Entrees ran about $13-15. The entree portions were more reasonable than the appetizers. The fish and chicken we ordered were both cooked to perfection.
