i use to go here alot when i was a kid. It's a really great store with a ton of fresh produce at terrific prices. The parking is rather large, but parking is always an issue. That's the main reason why i don't go there anymore. Plus, the location is at a really busy intersection too. The cashier line is really quick too since they have more than 10 checkouts. At least 5 or 6 are usually open.
PROS: Express Checkouts
CONS: Dirty

I always go to this market. It is so good. The price is so cheap. The fish is always cheap. The parking is rather hard, so you should go on weekdays.
4good place to shop for asian goodies. the store is not clean. butchers took smoke break and back to choping without washing their hands with soaps. parking is very diffcult and cashiers are not very helpful. Long line and spoil foods are mix in with fresh foods
2I have grown up in Monterey Park, and the sanitary standards here are much lower than that of other higher class locales, i am sure. However, Hawaii Super Market is a whole new story. Not only have i seen dirty hands handling the produce, the keeping conditions are poor. The dirtiness was verified when outbreaks of SARS was found from a frequent user of this market. I, myself, do not trust this place and would not recommend it to anyone else. There are other places that are cleaner and offer competitive prices, and sometimes even better products. Better safe than sorry!
