Good selection of beer but the service in late afternoon wasn't that great. The food was ok but you don't get a lot for the price. I've always seen the place hopping at night.
3Hungry Stick has tons of pool tables and lots of great beer. This is a great place to go after work for happy hour. It is centrally located with easy access to the 805 or 163 freeways. It has a large lot, so parking is not a problem.
4Good food, especially the steak sandwich. (Not always on the menu, but always avaiable if you ask). Good beer selection and great jukebox that has ability to download songs if they aren't in it. Lots of pool tables. Sometimes a seedy crowd, but still fun. Staff is friendly too.

This used to be a cool place to play pool and have a drink but lately it seems to be attracting a more "seedy" crowd of people (or maybe I am just getting old).
3Nestled in the center of the strip in San Diego's blue Collar Clairemont neighborhood, this pool hall and beer bar is to be honest bit scruffy. With a large number of both tournament and bar sized pool tables, It still carries much of the ambiance of its years as biker hang out. Although the tattooed biker chick waitresses remain ,the bikers are long gone. Recent owner ship changes have cleaned the place up a bit and reestablished it as a regional tournament billiards venue. Its often packed on weekends. One gets the impression the owners are keeping their powder dry till the gradually gentrifying neighborhood moves a bit more upscale. Oh yeah the food... The Menu has been scaled back in recent years but still features some of the most delicious large burgers in the area along with a variety of pub grub. I love their traditional patty melt and onion rings but only allow myself a few times a year. Calorie counters need not apply. The joint also has one of the largest selections draft beers in town and is good place to do terminal lunch on a Friday. Sorry no kids allowed
