Lived in the area for 8 years and finally pulled my head out (of the sand). Tuk-Tuk @ Pico & Robertson is one of the best restaurants I've ever experienced. Wonderful food, matched with a comfortable yet elegant decor and a great staff made for a nice meal.

Walking into tuk-tuk my mouth begins to water. The new design only adds to this. Pinks and oranges mixed with bamboo accents, dark wood booths and a cherry wood floor are inviting and comfortable. The food is as good as ever. A new wine list, offering world varietals at inexpensive prices is a nice addition also. A nice soundtrack plays in the back ground. I asked what they were playing and no one knew.

Blah... where do I begin? I am tramatized. To cut to the chase this place isn't what the citysearch made it out to be. I was faced with a tiny hole in the wall with lame decor, bland food, and horrendous service. Needless to say I was disappointed, and I will , thanks for your help citysearch.

I would recommend sister-restaurant Rambutan for a more romantic dining experience, but Tuk Tuk is a good casual lunch spot, with daily specials (7 days a week!). The food was fresh and good, not greasy. Parking is tight in the area, so grab a meter if you can. Strange fact - we asked for limes with our cokes and they didn't have any - a Thai restaurant without limes?!

Went to this to give it another shot and it failed badly. Just writing to remind that this is no 9.8 rating. The service was extremely poor. Waited FOREVER to just get a glass of water. Food was not a delicious as I remembered on the first visit.

I live down the street from this place and always take my friends from out of town here. Everyone has been pleased so far. It has decent Thai food if you know what to order (I'd stay away from Pad Thai, but go with any of the beef plates or the combo), but most importantly the atmosphere is very cozy and romantic in a modern way. The decor and furniture is modern. There is a bar and they serve a variety of drinks. I've been to this place a lot and never found it nosy as some indicate here. It's definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a cozy dinner at a cute place.

We're always impressed with the quality of food at tuktuk. The service can be hurried at times, but that's expected at a busy restaurant.

Tuk Tuk Thai is almost a perfect Thai Restaurant. Its menu is loaded with all of the traditional dishes you'd expect, and it does all of them excellently. Furthermore, unlike many Thai restaurants, Tuk Tuk is willing to play with tradition. A few of their dishes are unique to their menu. I highly recommend the Pear Salad - a variation on the Papaya salad with (what else) a pear. The atmosphere is excellent, and the presentation is great for the price. There's really nothing to complain about here. It's essential LA dining if you like Thai food.

i used to frequent this little hole in the wall in my neighborhood but alas, in the last couple of visits, i was treated very poorly by a couple of the staff. how would you feel if you walked in a restaurant, approach the host and given a look and told "well???".... i was caught off guard and was told to "speak up!!!"....gasp!!! i told the host that he caught me off guard and his response was "well? what do you need?" along with an attitude of 'hurry and get this over with'.....needles to say, it is unfortunate but i will no longer be a patron of this establishment...

Whenever I am close to tuk tuk, I make a point of stopping by for some of the best thai food in the city. The quaint atmosphere and the uncommonly friendly floor staff, make lunch a great experience aside from the food, which is the reason to come to tuk tuk in the first place. Soup, salad or a curry, all of the food is just great. One of my favorites is the beef waterfall. I feel like I can eat here everyday, if only I can be in the area. Anyway, tuk tuk is the best bet for a great lunch anywhere on the westside..

The food here is decent if you are not familiar with really good Thai food. Stay away from the Pad Thai, one of the most popular Thai dishes throughout is pretty tasteless ... I've had better ready-to-cook ones from Trader Joes. The service was ok, but stay away from ordering delivery, there's a gal who takes the orders down and she's managed to botch things up quite a few times.

just had dinner there tonight, and thought the place would be good considering a lot of the reviews. the place is pretty loud inside, but at least the music is decent. first thing we ordered was the crab cakes; breaded, greasy and a spongey consistency not at all reminiscent of ANY shrimp i've ever had. next we ordered the shrimp pad thai; DECENT, but nothing to really praise. lastly, we had the crab noodles; this was the worst of the three. dry and overly spicy noodles and fishy smelling crab-HORRIBLE. and the servers? they didn;t even ask how things were until we were done and asking for the check. who are the people that consider this food good? have you left your taste buds somewhere else, or perhaps your minds? go somewhere else.

Serving size was adequate. The decor was fine. The food - INCREDIBLE. Tuk-Tuk does service better than anyone in the area. The staff is warm and on top of anything you need. Sometimes quality costs a bit more then quantity...and here at tuk-tuk IT'S WORTH IT!

nice atmosphere and staff, no doubt about that. you can definitely get better thai food at the multitudes of other places in the west la area. small portions and relatively high prices just don't jive too well with thai food.

I have to disagree with the last reviewer. The service over the last five years has always been great. They've had the same staff and management since they opened. They always remember what I like. Food is always great. It is noisy, they're threatening to fix that. We'll see.

This place has average thai food if you are in the area, the place is small, and the dinner is pricey for the little portions. The place is very loud, and the service is horrible. The waitress does not care about you or your food. Lousy service, pricey thai food.

Since I moved to LA, Tuk Tuk has become by far my favorite Thai restaurant. The food here is amazing, and the atmosphere is very relaxing and romantic. Although I always like to venture away from the classics, the Pad Thai there is incredible, in addition to their Prik King and Pad See Ewe. As a vegetarian, I couldn't ask for a more delicious dining experience.

I have been eating at Tuk Tuk for over 4 years now and they have not once disappointed me. Their Pad gra pow and prig king are insanely good. I eat here at least once a week because not only is the food good, the wine/beer selection is decent (not great), but their service is wonderful. I take every visitor I have to eat here and everyone loves it.

Tim has been the head chef since tuk-tuk's opening in 1999. If I've ever had a problem with my meal it's handled immeadiatly. The food isn't like the food at Palms or Ruen Pair, it's better. High quality ingredients, fresh vegetables and seafood, that can't be said about any of the Hollywood Blvd Thai Restaurants.

It's great when a restaurant doen't pretend to be something it's not. LA restaurants are starting to take on this cities personality, and that's bad. Tuk-Tuk is inviting, well priced and the service is far better than many of the $50 per person eateries that are poppong up everywhere around town. The high quality ingredients and wonderful presentaion makes this a meal that's worth coming back for. Again $ again & again....

Have you ever noticed that we only write letters/reviews when we have something bad to say? I'm to blame for this as well, so consider my hand slapped. I like tuk-tuk on Pico. I've never had their delivery, only lunch. I love the decor, the service and mostly the Pad Thai. It's unarguably the best in town. I read about someone not liking the thai tea...that's crazy - try it!

I've been going to Thai House for the last six months and enjoying myself. A neighbor told me about tuktuk thai just down the street, I tried it. "Where have you been all my life"? The food is better, the waltresses are great, the chef even came out and talked with us. I still love the space at Thai House, but the decor at tuk tuk is cute, yellow slanted walls and a curved blue ceiling. Beer and Wine, but a great selection to choose from.

Almost every city has a glut of bland uninspired Thai restaurants, and LA is no exception. It's nice to find a place that stands out, which Tuk Tuk does. The decor is stylish and the food above average. I had the beef waterfall, panang curry, and mekow noodles with Tofu. All dishes were well prepared and spiced appropriately. The wait staff was very friendly but the service was a little slow. They were full on a Monday night which is always a good sign.

Having grown up in SE Asia, I'm always skeptical of nouveau asian cooking. But I was pleasantly surprised by the food at tuk tuk. The curries, (esp. the duck) were outstanding - you can tell they use real coconut milk instead of the cheap watered down 'santan' they use at other more trendy thai restaurants in town. The salads were good, & the beer & wine lists add to a fine meal.

Just moved to this area. Hate it. The only thing that keeps me from taking my own life is tuk tuk on Pico.
