Pros: EVERYTHING
Cons: Cash Only
These tacos are such a steal. I always order them Nick's way to make them extra-fattening. And yeah, the $2 margaritas on Tuesday nights are not so bad! I love the gaudy red velvet and chandeliers at rouge coupled with tacos in baskets -- so weird but really fun.
4haha this is a pre-review. I haven't actually had the tacos yet because I went yesterday for Cinco de Mayo and Tuesday happy hour from 4-9PM but it was so packed that I was too lazy to try to get a taco. But I did see a bunch of tacos

Pros: The tacos looked delicious
Cons: I couldn't get my little hands on one!
This place is always fresh and quick. I love the fish tacos but really everything is good. Try the guacamole too, it's one of the best I've had. This is a great spot for late dining after watching a game or hanging out at Shanghai

The burritos are great now that you can get them with rice inside. I never understood why you couldn't before. But you still have to ask for it. The main problems though are 1. The constant reggae music. What does reggae have to do with Mexico? For a couple of weeks they switched it to random classic rock and it was much better. The owners were probably on vacation. Now the constant, annoying reggae is back. 2. NO PEPPER! How can you eat Mexican food without pepper? There is salt on every table. The food does not need salt. No restaurant food ever needs extra salt. But pepper is absolutely mandatory. Every time I ask for it, they don't seem to care or understand why it is so important. I used to eat there every day, but after asking, and asking for pepper, and getting tired of the infernal reggae, I gave up

Nothing special about Nicky's, really, but it's the only place on the north end of Polk where you can get mexican (Panchos is about 6 blocks south). The decor is super lame and the items are a little pricey ($5 for chips and salsa?!?)

Pros: Location in Russian Hill
Cons: Ambiance, soggy "crispy" tacos, wait for service
The first thing I think of when I wake up on saturday morning is a pescado taco nick's way. It is perfection. Nick's is not where I would go to when I am craving traditional Mexican food, but it is where I go to when I crave Nick's (which

They must have a tomato ripening machine or it's someone's job duty...\r

Fresh, ripe--two words I feel when I chow down the guac and pico de gallo at Nick's. Can't seem to get out of there without ordering chips and salsa or guacamole.

Nicks Crispy Taco is unlike some of the more authentic places in the Mission but one of my favorite places. Try the fish taco. Go when Rouge is open and get $2 drinks.
5On a lunchtime craving we took off for Nick's Crispy Tacos, never been but driven past many times. The idea of crispy tacos should make anyone's mouth water! I ordered a Pescado taco, Baja style (battered & fried), and a carne asada taco

Cons: a little oily on the fish tacos
I happened to walk into this place about a year ago and have been in love with it ever since. I wish there were more mexican taco joints in Russian Hill, but this one does the trick! They have delicious asada and chicken tacos, and yummy

Pros: Great food, and served pretty quickly.
Cons: Not the cheapest taco in S.F. but worth it.
Try the Pescados - you will not find a better fish tacos in the city. The fish is incredibly fresh, the cabbage slaw is the ultimate accompaniment and the Baja-style sauce adds just the right touch of creaminess and tange.

"Nick's Way" is the only way to get a taco here. It's hard to vote for a taco in Russian Hill that beats La Taqueria, but if anyone can do it, it's Nick's.

So rare can you expereince a place that has everything going for it. But Nick's does. In a city that has plenty of good mexican food, Nick's stands superior. The fish tacos are the best I've ever had. All the the meats and fish there

For my money and taste Nick's can't be beat. I don't know of another taqueria that uses Niman Ranch meats, range chicken and fresh fish. The decor maybe tijuana chic and the service rushed but it is still fast food, more or less w/out

If there's a better taco in SF, I haven't found it. This place has food that tastes GREAT, it is totally cheap, and the people who work there are friendly as can be. Great for lunch of dinner, this is a staple in the life of any SF person who loves Mexcan food. 5 stars for sure! (Try the Pescado fish tacos)
PROS: Great food, Great prices, Nice People
CONS: Lines can be long on weekday evening - that's b/c it's good though!!

Nick's Crispy Tacos represents the epitome of SF entrepreneurialism. You won't find it unless you're looking for it, since it's tucked into a corner of Harry Denton's Rouge club, and it only operates during dinner hours, and then has to
