Compassionate, skilled, knowledgeable, professional and understanding....these characteristics describe the doctors, techs and staff at La Costa Animal Hospital. We know that our beloved animals couldn't be in better hands.
Six years ago, prior to relocating from South Pasadena, CA to the Carlsbad area, I asked my veterinarian for a recommendation. His advice --- ??Find an animal hospital that is AAHA-accredited.?
Luckily for me --- and for my pets --- past, present and future --- La Costa Animal Hospital met that requirement.
Since that time, Dr. Schatzle and company have always been there for me and my ??puppies.?
Throughout our association, my respect for and appreciation of their service and support has grown. Going through tough times, including multiple surgeries: cancer, a ruptured anal gland, etc. and at-home euthanasia service --- has given me ample opportunity to evaluate and more fully value their professionalism, expertise and all-important compassion.
P.S. I recently adopted a nine-year old ??puppy.? My confidence in La Costa Animal Hospital gave me the courage to do so.

La Costa Animal Hospital is a full service animal hospital and will see emergency cases as well as less urgent medical, surgical, and dental issues. Dr. Schatzle and Dr. Ecker are experienced in all types of conditions and treatments. Beyond first rate pet care, our clinic is kid-friendly and our waiting room is calm and comfortable so your pet can relax and look forward to meeting his or her own Carlsbad veterinarian.
