My wife and I would personally like to that Samuel Dumitrascuta and the staff at Folsom Lake Toyota for doing an exceptional job. Whenever I stepped onto a lot I always felt pushed around and almost strong-armed by the sales people. Before we came to Folsom we went to roseville one Sunday on the way home from church. We went and looked at a Camry and took it for a test drive and the guy would not let me leave. I asked for his business card and he kept me waiting like 15 minutes for it while he got his closer to come out. His closer talked to me about Accords when he came out after I personally talked my wife into how great Camry is vs accord. lol!!

The customer service is excellent at FLT. The service advisor was really great... checking records from an out of state dealership where I had gone for service. The time it took for the service was just what he had estimated and he called me and sent the shuttle promptly. The shuttle was also very convenient... the driver courteous and had a very short wait time.Thank You!

I brought my 2006 corolla in for a smog ck...was quickly done...also identified a nail in tire which could not b patched...as I had asked them to ck & air tires.i also brought my 1998 Camry in for belt...tensioner...also asked to identify where oil leaks were coming from...Kurt called advised me...suggested replace since belt was off...I agreed to save money & labor in future...overall they did a great job. Mike the mechanic who repaired my vehicle...really knows what he is doing...he also worked until 6:15 pm to get my car repaired & back to me...if you would please tell Mike thanks for his awesome efforts...I really appreciate what was done.

On 12-07-10 at approximately 1010 hours, I brought my car into Folsom Lake Toyota for the replacement of the electronic control module due to a safety recall by toyota. Upon my arrival, I spoke to Chris Oxley (service adviser) who told me that the ECM will take 2 to 2 1/2 hours to replace. At approximately 1100 hours, Oxley called me and told me that i have a bad starter and it will cost $513 to fix. I told Oxley that i don't want to fix it because I had my starter replaced 2 months ago with a new starter. I just want to have the ECM replace. At 1300 hours, I reported to Oxley to pick up my car. Oxley told me that they didn't replace the EMC because they didn't have any in stock. Why didn't he told me this when i dropped off my car? I went to pick up my car and noticed that when i pressed on the lock buttom on my remote, it didn't lock. I wondered what they did to my car? I then told Oxley about the locking problem on my car. A technician came out and checked the locking problem. Technician drove car back to the shop and reprogrammed locking system and the remotes. At approximately 45 minutes later, Oxley told me that my car is done. Oxley also told me that before i brought my car in this morning, your door locks didn't work in your car. My door locks did work before i brought my car to Folsom Lake Toyota. After they serviced it, the locking system didn't work in my car. Be CAREFUL taking your car to Folsom Lake Toyota.

The Folsom Lake Toyota car sales team is pretty good. If you can get to talk to the Internet guys specifically, they are even more awesome.

However, I have issues with the service department. I went there in May to get an oil change on my 2009 Toyota Matrix. Up until this point I had done all the oil changes on my own, just didn't have time before a long road trip. Coincidentally, the day before I was to get the maintenance I got a 10% off coupon from Folsom Lake in my email. I printed out the certificate and took my car in. My service rep sat me down and tried to scare me in to buying a large service package I knew I didn't need. I said I'd just like the basic service package for about $70 and that would be great. He had a bad attitude that got even worse when I whipped out my 10% off coupon. He said, sorry I can't take that, the coupon says that you have to come in on Memorial Day. I felt the coupon was vaguely worded and it meant to me that if you came in any time around Memorial Day you could have 10% off. It was the Friday before the holiday. I asked him if he could take the coupon anyway and he said they had had a staff meeting that very morning forbidding them from taking the coupon early. At this point, all my instincts were telling me to get up and leave and make the time to do my own maintenance. Unfortunately, I didn't listen to my instincts. Little did my service rep know that my brother was bringing his Corolla in on the same day at the same time, with the same coupon. My brother's service rep happily took his 10% off coupon with no argument.

Well, they changed my oil and were supposed to rotate my tires. That's what I paid for. As far as I know the oil was changed, but the tires, oh the tires. I had a nick in the rubber of my back passenger side tire. Only noticeable to me, since I'm the one that jumped the curb and made the nick. Well, when they rotate they're supposed to move the back tires to the front. My back passenger tire is still the tire with the nick in the rubber. Looks like they took the effort to move the back hub caps forward, though. Needless to say, I will never go back.

As a woman I feel like they didn't listen to me and didn't respect me, or my knowledge of my car. The sales rep actually laughed when I said I read and refer to my manual all the time. I was discriminated against and lied to. I had a 1995 Toyota Tercel with almost 300,000 miles on it before I purchased my new Matrix. For upkeep I took it to a shop out on Auburn Blvd. called TOS (Toyota Only Service). Those guys really know what they're doing. The Tercel still runs like a top and I gave it to my sister when I got the new one. I'd take my Matrix all the way out there a thousand times before I'd ever go back to Folsom Lake.

The Folsom Lake Toyota car sales team is pretty good. If you can get to talk to the Internet guys specifically, they are even more awesome.

However, I have issues with the service department. I went there in May to get an oil change on my 2009 Toyota Matrix. Up until this point I had done all the oil changes on my own, just didn't have time before a long road trip. Coincidentally, the day before I was to get the maintenance I got a 10% off coupon from Folsom Lake in my email. I printed out the certificate and took my car in. My service rep sat me down and tried to scare me in to buying a large service package I knew I didn't need. I said I'd just like the basic service package for about $70 and that would be great. He had a bad attitude that got even worse when I whipped out my 10% off coupon. He said, sorry I can't take that, the coupon says that you have to come in on Memorial Day. I felt the coupon was vaguely worded and it meant to me that if you came in any time around Memorial Day you could have 10% off. It was the Friday before the holiday. I asked him if he could take the coupon anyway and he said they had had a staff meeting that very morning forbidding them from taking the coupon early. At this point, all my instincts were telling me to get up and leave and make the time to do my own maintenance. Unfortunately, I didn't listen to my instincts. Little did my service rep know that my brother was bringing his Corolla in on the same day at the same time, with the same coupon. My brother's service rep happily took his 10% off coupon with no argument.

Well, they changed my oil and were supposed to rotate my tires. That's what I paid for. As far as I know the oil was changed, but the tires, oh the tires. I had a nick in the rubber of my back passenger side tire. Only noticeable to me, since I'm the one that jumped the curb and made the nick. Well, when they rotate they're supposed to move the back tires to the front. My back passenger tire is still the tire with the nick in the rubber. Looks like they took the effort to move the back hub caps forward, though. Needless to say, I will never go back.

As a woman I feel like they didn't listen to me and didn't respect me, or my knowledge of my car. The sales rep actually laughed when I said I read and refer to my manual all the time. I was discriminated against and lied to. I had a 1995 Toyota Tercel with almost 300,000 miles on it before I purchased my new Matrix. For upkeep I took it to a shop out on Auburn Blvd. called TOS (Toyota Only Service). Those guys really know what they're doing. The Tercel still runs like a top and I gave it to my sister when I got the new one. I'd take my Matrix all the way out there a thousand times before I'd ever go back to Folsom Lake.

I've read some negative reviews about them, but my favorite restaurant has some bad reviews, and they had a car i was looking for so I checked them out. I called first and the guy I talked to seemed friendly and knew about the car and said it was nice so I went to see it. I had gone to a couple of other dealerships and they were so so but I have to admit the car at Folsom was the nicest and was exactly what they said it was over the phone. Although it took a long time to buy the car every one was super nice. I have purchased a few cars before, some new and some used, been with friends when they bought cars and I had a couple of friends with me and this was my best experience at a car dealer and my friends say the same thing. They will go back and so will I.

They did a free inspection and you think they are helping you but they are really trying to find anything they can report a problem on or find ways to make up issues. Then they recommend pricey fixes and waste your time and money. The last time I was there, they forgot to do my wheel alignment and charged me anyways. If they don't supply you with a before and after specs on the alignment, then they didn't do it. Make sure you get the paper work. They also are unprofessional when you ask them detailed questions because they are hiding the fact that they are liars or giving you misleading information. You can read them like a book. Warning never bring your automobile to a dealership especially FOLSOM LAKE TOYOTA after the warranty expires. Their procedures after the warranty change for the worse as they start charging 3x more and they will find ways to make you buy a new car.

I went there to get a door (inside) handle replaced for my Toyota Corolla. The estimate given to me was 250$. I asked why the estimate is so high. The service agent replied that to replace the inside door handle, the door panel has to be taken out....and it will 1.5 hours of service. I checked Internet and found a way to replace the door handle without removing the door panel. I asked the same agent that door panel need not be removed. He replied that he was talking about camry and not Corolla while his note clearly had Corolla written. The service agent gave incorrect information.

i took my toyota corolla for a safety inspection/ service and was told it had major problems with oil leaking and ruining the engine..and if i dont fix it fast, it would ruin the car and worse still the vehicle will stall midway..and they gave me a 1000 $ bill along with other must do things list.
I give my for regular service and drive about 1000 miles per year !!..

I took it to another privately owned mechanic in folsom and he said my car was perfect and had no issues whatsoever and that whoever told me there were leaks - was lying to make money. that tells you - STAY away from their service dept.
I dont know about their sales to comment if they follow the same unscrupulous practices.

STAY AWAY! First, they will "hide" the car you came to look at and then try and get you to buy something else. And then when you're ready to leave, they find it in a different lot. Then they drag their feet writing the deal. We spent 7-8 hours, it was awful! Second, weeks after reaching a deal, they rescind the financing!! How can they do that?! We signed a contract for 7.95% and now we need a different co-signer and the interest goes UP!! Our payments will now be $40 higher!!! Very unhappy.
