This place is pretty average. Decent food, affordable beer, good vibe. I am a Karaoke fan so I try a lot of them out, this one was pretty good with a massive song selection.

Wow, Brew Co made some awesome changes for the new year. All the drinks are $4.50! They got a ton of new beers on tap, some with like 8% alcohol by volume and $4.50 long islands! The food got better too. No more bbq menu, it's now

Cons: Parking can be tough sometimes

I ordered a bowl of chili and received a red pasty mush floating on a thin film of grease. No beans, no meat, just paste. Literally speaking, I wouldn't have fed it to a dog. Next time I'm in the Westwood Village I'll go to Chili's.

I was there when it opened and it hasn't been the same since the early 2000s. They were great when they actually brewed their beer on premise. Now those huge container tanks are for show. Food choice has gone south, the restroom has been down graded, and they've even gone cheap with the actual (physical) menu.

The food is pretty unremarkable bar & grill fare (fairly tasty, but unexciting), but the draught beer generally tastes like an air freshener. I pretty regularly get a dirty glass full of foul-tasting beer when I end up here. Plus, despite their name, they haven't made beer in a long time. Their selection of bottled beers is pretty spare for a brewpub, but better than that of your average dive or chain restaurant. Foodwise, it's all pretty affordable, and though some swear by their macaroni 'n' cheese, none of it really blows me away. Just good, solid bar food (plus a few actual entrees, lest you forget you're in a fashionable establishment). Overall, it's a good place to hang out: the decor is appealing, it tends to attract a lot of grad students (so good conversation is at least possible), the service is usually pretty good (and always friendly), and you don't have to worry about a ton of bantam fratboys looking to impress their girlfriends. As a brewpub, it stinks. As a bar & grill, it's above average.

PROS: Excellent atmosphere, usually free of drunken undergrads
CONS: Horrible beer (but bottled selection is OK)

I went during the off-hours, taking a short day with some co-workers. The beer was very good, the wait staff was pretty much laid-back, and best of all the glasses didn't have any soap leftovers on them to kill the beer.
