Biking is a frustration for me because I can't assemble my own bike! Good thing the guys in this store are very accomodating. They even thought me how to put up some parts.

If you want to customized your bike, you can find lots of spare parts here! It didn't took me too long to design my bike in a way I wanted.

The assembly team is simply one of the bests. They wouldn't settle for anything less.

I build fixed gear bikes and only go to Alans when So. Coast Bikes is closed and on 2 separate occasions they gave me the wrong size part and when I returned the products they didn't have what I wanted in stock so they just sold me the part thinking that I would not check prior to install of the part and break it or in some way void the return and have to order a new part and get my money twice instead of giving me what I wanted in the first place.If you ask for a 3/32 inch chain just cause its for a fixed bike doesn't mean all of them are the 1/8th inch size and they should sell you what you didnt ask for. so if you actually know what you want or are into bikes other than beach cruisers or something go to So. Coast Bikes. They have better service and the people that work there actually ride to work unlike at alans! so if your buying parts make sure that they give what you asked for because it is a hassle to have to go back and forth.

The perfect place to buy a beautiful bike. They have everything u need to ride the strand in style. The no the ins and outs of every bike in there store.

We purchased 2 bikes here. The staff is wonderful. There prices are also fantastic. And the quality of bikes and cruisers is top of the line. No hassle shopping, nobody there is forcing you into something, and they are not on commission. They help you find the bike you want but suggest bikesthat may be better, and they are not ones that cost anymore than what you were looking at. They set up your bike before you take it home to make sure height is good, they inspect every bike before it leaves store and because we did not have a truck, one of the workers brought our bikes to our house after he got out of work for free. This bike shop has friendly and knowledgeable customer service. They not only sell bicycles, but they offer expert repairs and have about a 24 hour turn around on their work. They also have a policy that if you find a lower price on the bike you purchased from them, at any bike shop in San Diego County, they will match the price. Or, if you find it within 30 days of your purchase they will refund the difference. I think that's a really fair deal.

Raoul helped me and my family to find just about EVERYTHING from a baby trailer to my son's first mountain bike. We were also given complete instructions on how to mount the trailer and a list of best places to take family bike rides. Alan's provides brochures and local magazines on biking events and trail mapping. I was even able to take a bike outside for a test run around the street. Cool people, great service, any and every kind of bike you can imagine. Best of all...NO ASSEMBLY!
