David Berkley Fine Wines/Foods

David Berkley's food is always delicious, no matter whether it is the deli or something you take away. My family and I always come here to buy food for holidays, special occasions and parties. The atmosphere is also very nice. They have a patio with tables and chairs where people can sit and enjoy their purchases and the service inside is always cheerful and friendly. Despite the fact that it is a fine foods store, it is actually a very casual place.

While the prices border on the absurd, you won't find a finer sandwich or deli counter in the city. The service is fabulously friendly. If you want a rare imported ingredient, this is your place. The baked goods are fantastic. The clientele is highly refined, but not snobby. Great for a Saturday lunch on the patio.

David Berkley is another grocery store that sells a lot of gourmet specialty items and imported foods. However, I think they are more expensive than Corti Brothers though. They do have a large selection of wine and their aisles are clean and neatly stacked. They also have a deli where you can get an excellent Mendocino masterpiece sandwich.

David Berkley is a great place for lunch, take home dinners and a place to find lots of wonderful items for preparing dishes at home. The wine staff is knwledgable and helpful and the place is always clean! The Mendocino Masterpiece sandwich is SUPER! The take menu changes weekly, so you don't get bored with the choices. They don't have table service, but youcan take your food to a cafe table inside or out and they have misters on the patio for the hot weather and heaters during the winter.
