The dude and I moved into the neighborhood a few months ago and this was one of the first places we tried. We knew we would be regulars after the first 10 minutes. Amazing service -- the best we've had in L.A. (Adolpho is the BEST!), great

I found Stoney Point to be a blast from the past but not so much in a great way. I think you may like it if you are a regular and hang out there. It seems like a neighborhood hang out that is not seedy and is comfortable and familiar...but it seems a lot of gray haired people dine and drink there, so it is an older crowd. The food was just ok. Parking and area nice though.

My husband and I went to Stoney Point and had an amazing time. The owner, Amedeo Costantino, is the nicest man we have ever met. I ordered the Cioppino and my husband the Lamb Chops, both delicious. Moderately priced, great service and the fluffiest chocolate souffle I have ever eaten

Pros: hideaway
Cons: none
Celebrated my birthday here last night. Excellent food and excellent service. I had the sea bass which was cooked perfectly with a tomato and olive sauce. My partner and guests enjoyed their food as well. One of the best dinners I have had in years. The prices are not bad either. The only complaint is that the piano player was too loud; we did sit in the bar area which was close to the piano player.

My husband and I wanted to celebrated our first wedding anniversary at a local, low key, cozy place... and Stoney Point was just PERFECT. The food is simply marvelous, the presentation beautiful, the wine list decent, the dessert decandent... and the best was the entertainment. The piano player was wonderful. We couldn't ask for anything more! And of course the costumer service was superb... we had an amazing experience and can't wait to go back.

Pros: Excellent service and cozy setting
Cons: Parking lot a tad small, but plenty of street parking

A great small place. If you didn't know to look for it you might miss it! The ambiance and atmosphere make this a very cozy restaurant. My favorite is the filet. It is always so tender and flavorful. The prices rangefrom $14 for pasta to $25 for steak. Stoney is only open for dinner and reservations are a good idea. There is a full bar. They usually have a piano player, but the music is at a good level for conversation. The parking lot is small but the street parking adjacent is ample with easy access. Also a great location for office parties or personal parties. See the website for details.

This is one of those resturants that you stumble upon if you are lucky. Its kinda hidden out of the way away from Pasadenas hustle and bustle and into more of a residential area which gives it that local area resident resturant feel. The food is good and the bar is friendly and you always get to see the owner around.

A nice little neighborhood place that everyone seems to know each other. A hidden gem. - db
5Superb food, great atmosphere! Perfect romantic place for a date or special occasion. Dim lighting, candles, small &cozy enviornment. Pianist and vocalist added that extra touch of class and sophistication without overpowering conversations. I would definately recommend this place to anyone looking for a special place that doesn't feel anything like an ordinary chain restaurant. For an added touch, on the way make sure to pass over the Colorado St. bridge, which is a beautiful sight at night.

Pros: Ambience, Food, Live Piano Music
This place is the best restaurant in Los Angeles that I have been to. The food is outstanding, the service is superior (unlike most anywhere in L.A.), the ambiance is wonderful. The service staff is sooo attentive. Overall the best place yet!!

Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere
Cons: Parking
The service here was by far the best I have experienced in Los Angeles. The food (which is mostly italian with some french) was wonderful, the meal was inexpensive. The location is a little off the beaten path, the clientele is a bit older (50s) than most places, two traits which seem to be earmarks for really good restaurants. The restaurant is not scene-y or trendy; they appear to be all about the food and the service instead, which differentiates this place from everywhere else in the greater Los Angeles area. There was only one problem with our experience: the creme brulee was a little sweeter than I like it.
