Wow...I was surfing the web and somehow I ended up looking up clubs and bars I used to frequent in the early eighties just for memory sake. I somehow ended up here and my jaw dropped when I saw that the Holy Cow was still in existence.

The Holy Cow is awesome! You don't have get dressed up and can just realx and sip on a cocktail made by my favorite bartender, Marcus! And if you want to shake your booty, then make your way to the dance floor, while the DJ plays happening hits from today and from the 80's, 90's, and sometimes even from the 70's! They are open Thursday-Saturday. Come check them out sometime soon!

If you want to just go have a drink and listen to music then Holy Cow is the spot. It's not a club, but there is dancing and good music throughout the night. The drinks are good and there is even a back room to sit and hang out away from the main bar. I have been going here for years...only issue is the wait in line is a little long.....so get there early

Pros: Cool people (girls), spacious (outside deck), cheap drinks

Cons: Music was too varied for my taste

This is a cool spot that does not have a super pretentious crowd. The prices per drink are nice and it is a pretty large bar. Check it out, you get more drink for your buck.

Wow! It's weird to read some of these recent reviews. I go to other spots on Fridays & Saturdays, so I have no idea what it's like then, but from what I read in the last review this place must be pulling off a Jeckyll & Hyde for Thursday

Pros: The Music, UN-superficial party environment, cheap drinks

Cons: it's a Vegas party except the decor, they should think about a remodel

If you like sweaty, gyrating, no money having dudes....by golly this is the place for you. I remember visitng this fine establishment when I was 21. It was fitting at the time. I'm now 28 and wonder why anyone (21 +) would want to frequent

This was the first bar I went to in San Francisco in 1997. I go about once a year and it seems to get bigger. Early in the evening they have good drink specials.

I went to The Holy Cow several weeks ago on a Friday night, and was finally able to get in after spending quite a while in line. The place was packed with people of all ethnicities, which added a very nice flavor to the place. Most of the people there seemed to be under 30 years old. The place was really crowded, and the ventilation system wasn't the best. There wasn't much room for people to do any real dance moves other than just staying close to each other, and the two "stages" for people to dance on were only a few feet wide, so even people who wanted to show off their moves were a bit restricted. The prices for the items there were very cheap, and there is never a cover for The Holy Cow. The Holy Cow truly embraces the phrase, "you get what you pay for."
