Really like the food, ambience and the people/servers in this casual deli/market. However, the "hot" food that is served is NEVER "hot"- always have to ask to reheat it. Even one of the servers said that it is a problem - so let's hope it improves soon!
4Expect to pay a pretty penny when eating at this place. Sandwiches and sides are really good, but I don't know if it is really cost effective. Service is really friendly.
3I have sampled nearly everything here. it is all wonderfully prepared and fresh. They have items in store that you cannot find elsewhere for a great price. I cannot believe the cheese selection, it makes me want to eat cheese again. They have a wonderful wine selection as well. Good prices for the quality. Great for catering parties or events. I love the desserts the best. Everything is simply divine!!!! The german chocolate cake is amazing. You can order an entire cake to pick up. Wonderful staff.

Pros: Dessert, wine, cheese, food, staff
Overpriced and left starving. Great idea but this place falls short on value. I would definately spend my money at other places in East Sac for better food and atmosphere like 33rd Street Bistro, Hoppy Brewing Company or FabForties Grill.

Selland's is a great place to meet someone for lunch. It is deli style and while there are only a couple of tables it is never overly crowded. Not only does it have a nice atmosphere but the food is amazing. I always get the Brie and Turkey sandwhich with the carmelized onions and I can't bring myself to order anything else on their menu (not because everything else is bad, it is all delicious!--I've tried bits of things friends have ordered) but the sandwhich is just that good! What can I say? I'm addicted! They have a cute little gourmet market as well.

Pros: great food, classy gourmet market
Cons: In short supply of parking and tables
This is a very classy market, fitting the neighborhood. They have a great selection of local wines and their wine steward is very knowledgable. The deli food always looks delicious, but seems terribly overpriced so we have never tried it. :) We stop in for a bottle of wine a couple of times a month though.
