Embassy Billiards Club

Though quite pricy, it is probably the most satisfactory billiards hall for "snooker" fans in California with 12 regulation tables to play on, inclusive of 3 tourney ones. Due to table naps, slightly stiff pocket sizes and low quality 'gadgets', I would give a "B-" towards overall grading.

This local pool hall is located on San Gabriel Blvd. They are open late night, but attract high school to college crowds. The prices are a little high. Late at night, it is packed and you probably would have to wait your turn. The quality of the cues and balls are mediocre.

I recently went to Embassy to shoot some pool and was quite disappointed in the quality of pool tables and cues. The table had a very sligh tilt to it so the balls did not travel evenly. Some of the cues were also damages a little and definitely affected my game that day. They should invest in some higher quality equipment if they want to quality pool players to visit their establishment. Definitely go somewhere else.

The prices are slightly high for the kind of low quality place that it is, and it is tucked away in a strange location - upstairs in a plaza area. Hard to find, not particularly fun, kind of strange to be there if you're not a local.
