This place is the Only place i like going to. I have been to many many animal/reptile stores... but no store is Happier to help you... YES they are busy at time but the experiance and knowledge is worth the few min wait... TRUST ME they will get to you. Price are fair, thats why we keep our small shops open. Their fish selection is great, and the reptiles keep the kids entertained. \n\nHere I purchase crickets often as prices are good, meal worms, great priced, reptile supplies, lights, sprays, heating lights -fair prices... purchased a beautiful orange/red bearded dragon.... fair price. Hopper rats for the ball python- good price and usually in stock!!! A+++\n\nSO the guys you make my reptiles happy and me even happier as I am right down the street and am in the 2,3 sometime 4 times a week!!! haha Thx again

Vets Pets is my number one choice for supplying my 4 snakes. The staff is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of reptiles. They are all so helpful when I have questions about product specifications. I buy weekly feeders from them and even though I recently moved right down the street from another feeder store, I find myself running across town to Vets Pets each week. I always find the wait very minimal and extremely worth my time. You won't find a friendlier or more knowledgeable staff in SD county.

Vets Pets is small, but don't let that fool you, the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.\n\nI shop there on an almost weekly basis for feeders, which they breed on site, and are well housed, the employees are some of the first to not assume the carpet pythons i keep where king snakes(hint hint Pet-co)\n\nKeep up the good work guys, ill see you in a week

This store is really great if you're buying supplies for a reptile or fish. The employees are always nice and ready to help, their animals are always kept healthy, and the feeder crickets don't die off before they're 'used' easily, unlike Petco or Petsmart crickets.\n\nOverall this is a very good shop!

Ok... I have gone to almost every aquarium in San Diego. I will acknowledge that you can find yourself waiting on assistance here. With that being said, I love this place. I appreciate their knowledge, especially the owner Chris. He is very patient and takes his time to explain things to you. He really knows his stuff. When you do finally get your time with them they treat you as though you are the only customer. Maybe that is why the wait is sometimes long. Be patient, it's well worth it. I can say that Chris has integrity because he is not just pushing sales.\n\nI would wait in line hours to see the best pediatrician for my son and I look at this the same way. And... Vets-Pets is CHEAPER than any other on San Diego! I hope you will give them a chance in lue of the other post.

Vets-Pets is a great store that has a variety of needs that will satisfy your needs. They have tons of fish (salt and freshwater) to choose from along with some corals as well. On the other side of the store, they sell things for reptiles, like crickets or mice. They also sell supplies for fish tanks, to feed your pets, etc.

My family and I went into this pet store twice in the last month. My son wanted a snake. Both times the store had other customers and both times we were completely ignored. So, we went to a pet store in La Mesa where the young man there was very helpful and friendly. We bought two snakes and all the supplies that go with them at the store in La Mesa. \r\nHey, Pet Vets.........a friendly ""hello...we'll be with you shortly"" was all you had to say!!!!! Big Guy and girl on cell phone behind the counter.....take a class in customer service!!
