I love this restaurant. It is one of my favorites in the City. I also love French food and great wine and this place covers both bases very well. I love the romantic atmosphere in the restaurant and the indoor/outdoor area in the front.

Haughty atmosphere if your under 30. Treated as if we didn't belong there, the service was poor. Nothing ruins a nice meal like a subpar waitstaff who is only interested in getting to the next table.

I've been to Chez Spencer twice now, once with colleagues, once with my family, and have been impressed with great food and great service both times. They make solid wine list recommendations and the food runs the gamut from frog legs to steak. If you love French-American and want to find a hidden gem in the city, you'll love Chez Spencer!
