Hi! This is Cara Ashnault, the new owner of the Good Dog Spot!
I bought TGDS in January 2013 and have been loving every minute.
I have been in business as Whiskers While You Work, LLC providing in home pet care (in Bloomfield, Avon, Farmington, and West Hartford) for almost 7 years now. I am excited for this new expansion and have felt extremely welcomed among the staff and customers.

I agreewith the people who describe the owner as unfriendly and extremely rude. When I took my two dogs to be interviewed. I expressed one of them was very out going and the other very shy. she told me the shy dog was "giving the hariry eyeballs" to the other dogs he couldn't come, unless he stopped looking at the other dogs that way. But maybe she'd take the other one. LOL.. She seemed put our that we had questions about how they would spend their day. She rushed us out the door after she showed us the very lacking facility. No outdoor space to speak of and ibn doors was dark and gloomy and beat up.

Marilyn is very good instructor and is direct with you when correction is needed.
I prefer the direct approach as it helps me understand what I need to do in order to have a happy and well behaved dog.
I would recommend "The Good Dog Spot" to everyone.

A nice facility with a good day care. The staff seems to be knowledgeable but it is too bad the owner can't pass on her knowledge in a nicer way. When speaking to her I always find her to be very abrasive and rude and condescending. It is too bad that her knowledge probably goes to waste because of her etiquette-it has made dealing with her so unpleasant that I don't anymore.

I attended a fundraiser at the Good Dog Spot and was impressed by the owner and staff. They really care about the dogs in their care and offer good products and services at reasonable prices.
Although I have not had an opportunity to use these services, I have known a couple people who bring their dogs to Doggy Day Care at the Good Dog Spot and are very happy with the program.
