Prices are reasonable. It's a hoppin' place on Get Down Downtown nights. A good place to meet friends for a beer. Jason is a great bartender. Knows his stuff and will serve you well.

Twelve thirty AM on a Sunday night, my husband and I came into the pub for a drink or two, after singing at another establishment, before going home. One of the patrons had his dog at the bar. I made conversation with the man about his beautiful shepherd while my husband went to the bar for drinks. Although he is of Latino decent, he was born in Lubbock Tex and severed with honor in US Navy. The bartender continually passed over him for service while another tall white member of our band came in stood next to my husband and was waited on immediately. Bartender again walked away. It was over 15 minutes before my husband was served but still left a three dollar tip. Second drink, no better, my husband gave up. I took the glass went to the bar & attempted to get through the small crowd around the 4 pierced young girls happily dancing on top of the bar. As one young lady climbed up one of the stools shot in front of my leg and I went forward against bar, my glass hitting the bar a little too hard for the bartender's liking. He then warned me not to bang a glass in front of him, left the area and went to other end of the bar to service drinks. I finally got one about 5 minutes later. When asked about this from another patron, the bartender was infuriated and said that I made ugly faces since I entered the bar and that I was just mad because "the guy I was with, didn't get served right away.
You don't need a map of red neck prejudice to tell what was going on here. Myself, being white, I've witness many subtle acts of racism before, but I must say I think it's a shame to have this kind of thing right next to an Irish venue that was nothing less than welcoming and gracious to us. Lost Kangaroo, is it really worth it?

30 beers on tap, full liquor bar, nice people, casual. You can sit outside. It's the best spot in Bradenton to relax in the middle of downtown. Nice food places and Cigar bar around. Come and enjoy the Franziskaner Hefeweizen.

The Lost Kangaroo is right in the middle of downtown so it's a very convenient place to go for lunch or for an after-work get-together. It's very casual - "throw the peanut shells on the floor" casual - and pleasant. Service is quick; drink and food are quite satisfactory. The place is quiet enough to have a nice conversation, except on the nights when there's live music. On music nights, it's fun and upbeat.
