Cons: What are the drawbacks?

I have been here several times. The first time I had a Reuben which was ok. This time I had beef brisket in gravy. It came with a side of mashed potatoes and a salad. First of all the waitress brought the wrong dressing. Since we had already waited more than half an hour just to get our salads I decided not to complain. The salad was all iceburg lettuce which has no taste. The lettuce was beginning to get pink on the edges of the ribs which told me it was not fresh. But drowned in dressing it was edible. After another half an hour our entrees arrived. They did not make the onion rings for fries substitution that my mother requested but again we did not complain. My brisket was about as bland and inedible as possible. It was somewhere between school lunch and nursing home quality. It looked like it came from Costco precooked. The gravy was obviously from a packet or can. Truly awful. And at $16 an insult as well. I could not eat even one third. I left the restaurant hungry. If I was the owner of this place I would be ashamed to charge so much for such poor quality food. My mother and daughter got hamburgers which they were ok with. My brother got the salmon which he didn't comment on. For a meal that cost over $70 for 4 people it was a complete waste. Don't waste your time or money in this dump. It is for drunks who are hungry at 4 am and don't know what decent food tastes like.

Pros: open 24 hours

Cons: pretty much everything else

I would recommend this establishment to anyone that is in the Buckhead area. Good prices...good food and professional service. They offer one of the most extensive menus that I've ever seen. For instance, breakfast food to Lamb Chops. Well stock bar and giantic booth seating.

We went with a group of eight, and everybodies food came out cold and not very good. I have had pretty good experiences there with dinner but not breakfeast.

When I think of diner food.. I think from scratch. Okay, I got to be fair. their sauces were good. I ordered the country fried steak. my wife the veal parm. but you could totally tell that both pieces of meat came out of a box from the freezer. how hard is it to bread and fry it? In a town with so many diners, something like home breading could go along ways. service was so very so-so.

Visited the Landmark's downtown location across from the Rialto Theater for dinner before a performance. The bottom line is this is a good place if you want simple food fast without having to venture away from the theater. The food is mediocre in quality, not awful, but certainly not great. Prices are high for the quality and quantity of the food served, though.

I was disappointed that many of the dishes listed in Landmark's Web site menu were not available at the downtown site. This spot has only the more simple (read cheaper to prepare) dishes. For example, the Eggplant Parmigiana is not available, nor the Shrimp Salad sandwich. The menu here contains maybe 50% of the dishes advertised.

I settled upon the Grilled Cheese sandwich. For $8.95, you get two thin pieces of American Cheese on toast, which melted down to almost only a toast sandwich. I asked for coleslaw instead of fries and it was fairly good. Others in our group had the vegetable platter - overcooked with no flavor, hamburgers and soy burgers - pretty good. Fries are ok also.

If you have the type of expectations you would have for Waffle House, you won't be disappointed. The prices are way higher than WF, and the food is no better, but not so bad for a restaurant directly across from your ultimate destination, and open 24 hours at that. My impression is they understand who their target audience is, and price accordingly. In other words, they know they can get away with just ok quality food at high prices because of the convenience factor. Overall we were satisfied with our dining experience, but you would go back only when at the Rialto for a late performance.

The greeter was very friendly; the waitress was friendly enough, but rarely came back to the table. You have to ask for drink refills, but all in all, not too bad, just not great service.

The atmosphere is low diner. For example, there is a hand-lettered sign over the fountain which reads "WE CHARGE FOR ADDITIONAL TEABAGS."

I have eaten at the Landmark Diner twice in the last week and look forward to returning. As I told the people who run the place, it's just like a New York City diner, but better. The burger I ordered was large, juicy and tastey, and served on a fresh toasted bun - delicious. I went back for breakfast and had a light fluffy omelet served with a side of hashbrowns that were freshly made and not greasy. Even the coffee was excellent and didn't taste like it had been sitting in a coffeepot on a burner for hours. The diner is very clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. The service is attentive without hovering. I grabbed a menu at the register when I left, so I can think about what I'll order when I go back. There seem to be plenty of healthy options on there as well. When I go home to New York City, one of the things I will miss about Atlanta is the NY-style Landmark Diner.

I go to the Landmark Diner in the mornings after the club. I've tried many dishes sober as well as tipsy off that Petrone, and it allways taste great. The food is pretty fast and the facility is very clean no matter what time i go there. I havn;t went out in a while or gotten drunk either but I still crave their food. I met one of the owners at LA Fitness Buck Head and was invited to go. I'm glad he did that, now I have a place to go eat.

This is a good restaurant for the money. The 24 by 7 times available is good for when you get hungry they are open. It is convient when you finish a night out in Buckhead. Staff is quick and plesant. The portions are large if you are very hungry. It is great that you can take your kids also. Each visit I try something diferent and I have't been disappointed.

If you have been on the Buckhead Bar run late at night, and are ready to get sober and eat, Landmark Diner will fill the bill. All the greek items are good, not great. And the breakfast menu, is good also, but not great. Somehow, scattered, smothered, and covered, seem to do the best this time of morning. Rotating cake/pie case is tempting, but there seems to be a touch of freezer burn. Service is either totally on, or way off. And a little pricey, but depending on your condition, the place will work. Large menu, just stick to Greek or Breakfast items.

I love Greek food, but I would never suggest this to anyone looking to eat great Greek food in Atlanta. The best thing about this place is the fact that it is open 24 hours. Their food is inconsistent. I would say that one cannot go wrong with a gyro sandwich, for example. If one does not like gyros, then he or she may be out of luck. The people that work there vary in their attitudes. Some are helpful and nice and others do seemed to be greatly inconvenienced by the occassional customers that happen to pop in. It seems that the younger people who work there seem to enjoy socializing with their friends more than waiting on customers. I sometimes wonder how they stay open. I guess already answered that question: it's a 24 hour diner. Great place after a night out on the town!

I brought my children here to grab some lunch today. The server was very friendly and fast. The have a good selection on the kids menu for finicky kids like mine. I had the BLT and fries it had plenty of bacon and tasted pretty good. We split a piece of german chocolate cake that was as close to moms as you can get. My children and I agree this is a great place to eat and we will come back.

I stopped by this place because the place I was told to go to was some business building rather than a restaurant (Anyone know where Carroll Street Cafe is)? Anyway, the food was good, I had breakfast and the eggs were great, the bacon ok. Then again, I got eggs because everything else seemed too expensive for what they were offering. Fast service- my order was taken within 1 min from stepping in, and my food delivered within 6 min. It's a laid-back place mostly filled with what I'm guessing were college students, many attractive ones to my pleasant surprise. Also, the review before me said something about it taking 3 people to get a water- The busboy brings the water (customary in many restaurants), and he might have just forgotten the straw or something. Overall a good place, especially for night owls or midnight snackers- fairly short walk from five points rail station and open 24-hours a day (all day breakfast).

Folks...if you want your food overpriced, undercooked and desire the weirdest waiting experience of your life, this is the place for you. We've literally just come back from "lunch" at the Landmark and felt compelled to warn others...
There were 3 of us and the meals were:
Grilled chicken sandwich which had some very rubbery/chewy pieces; served up with half-cooked fries. Also on the side - a small house salad which had a lot of brown lettuce and mushy tomato. Bizarrely, an overload of pickles on the side and tons of bacon...
Lamb sandwich with gravy...truthfully it was full-on fatty belly mutton which was lukewarm and slightly fishy..served with the same half-cooked fries.
Pancakes seemed warmed from frozen and bland but reasonable. A BLT revealed tons of bacon again and no bottom slice of toast to the sandwich...
When we first entered the restaurant we were pointed to the table by someone I assume was the owner, with no greeting. Apparently it also takes 3 members of staff to take a drink order - one to take the order, one to bring water and another to bring straws.
The actual waiter made no effort to seem welcoming. It seemed we had somehow offended him by sitting down in his serving zone...he was difficult to understand and seemed annoyed. He did manage to comeback for refills though, to be fair.
I can't believe how much this place has gone downhill in a year..we had breakfast there last year and it was fine and we enjoyed it. Right now, I'm worried that what I've eaten might make me ill in a few hours time...

The endless menu contains so many outrageously priced items that it would be impossible for the food to be great. I had crabcakes ($16.00), with some mixed vegetables and a salad. The little "crabcakes" were made from the Louis Kemp sealeg things and were awful. The tartar sauce and salad dressing came from a bottle. The mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn) were obviously frozen. My husband ordered spaghetti and meatballs and was not pleased. The second time I was forced to visit this restaurant for breakfast. I must say that frozen pancakes are MUCH better than fake crabcakes. The best I can say is that the breakfast wasn't completely terrible. The atmosphere is not unpleasant and the place is open at all hours. I think they've stayed in business so long by catering to after hour drunks who can't really taste the food.

We were out and about looking for a place to eat when we happened upon the Landmark. It looked safe enough, so we decided to give it a go.

The food was good - fairly tasty. I had mousaka, the mrs a veggie burger and my 6yo the pancakes. The mousaka came with a nice greek salad, steamed veggies and a huge portion of mousaka - enough to give me lunch for the next day. My wife's veggie burger was very good, a huge and a ton of fries and onion rings. My daughter's pancake was massive, enough to have fed me. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

Our server was very attentive. She appeared at the right times and made us feel at home. Very professional staffer. I did notice some of the other staff seemed to have had a "I don't stink attitude", but she was very down to earth.

I found the portions to be monstrous for breakfast and the breakfast foods are excellent. I also ordered the chicken salad sandwich once which was piled high like a NY deli sandwich and the chicken salad was fresh and not swimming in mayo. The food and service were wonderful during the 10 times when I have gone. I'll head here to have a wonderful brunch and let the others stand in line for 45 minutes at the other places around town. If you want to impress a host or guests, make sure to pick up some baked goods at the Landmark....yum!

Breakfast, lunch or dinner! Just about anything you can think of is on the enormous menu. If you haven't tried LD, you'll have to do so just to make up your own mind. This isn't your typical American Diner. Interestingly, few if any of the waitstaff, mgmt, or even patrons appear (or sound) to be American born. This gives the place a decidedly European feel. I like the sense of stepping outside the regional sameness that becomes rather tiresome in Atlanta. Why the reference to "Twilight Zone?" The waitstaff seems to think they are operating a 5-star restaurant, and may display a level of formality that's positively amusing in light of your surroundings (ie., chrome, mardi-gra pattern vinyl, hard tile floors...)

Breakfast and burgers w/onion rings are great, though entrees can get a little tricky. There are many bad renditions of the burger in town, but this one works. Experiment!

While on a mini vacation from Asheville, NC we decided to check out the cool looking Landmark Diner. We were very impressed with the full bar, beautiful cakes and pies, and the overall appearance of the diner. We both ordered a different variation of their eggs benedict and potatoes. The eggs benedict, although rather pricey for a diner, were very good. The service was a bit slow. The beautiful deserts caught our attention as we were departing the restaurant. Who could resist 5 high pies and cakes that are obviously decorated professionally by an in house baker? We sampled two absolutely scrumptious desserts and would recommend the chocolate mousse pie and the Pistachio Cake!

Single worst Atlanta dining experience. Has all the cons of a diner (mediocre service, sub-par food...) and none of the pros (lousy portions, ridiculously expensive...). I've had better food at gas stations.

The waiter was horrible. They sat us under a leaky roof. When we moved he gave us an arrogant smirk. He never came around to check up on us except to bring us our food. When we gave him a tip of less than 10% he sarcastically said thank you and then held the money up to us. Very rude!

The waiter was horrible. They sat us under a leaky roof. When we moved he gave us an arrogant smirk. He never came around to check up on us except to bring us our food. When we gave him a tip of less than 10% he sarcastically said thank you and then held the money up to us. Very rude!

Pros: Food, Belly Dancer, Parking

Cons: Service, Waiter, Leaky Roof

.

Bottom Line. The Food SUCKS. Its absoloutely horrible..and way overpriced. This place used to be good back in the mid 90s, its gone totaly downhill with service and food quality. Stick to Waffle House!

Pros: good location

Cons: low food quality, bad service

The worst late night food ever eaten!! Ruben sandwich with pastrami and wheat bread. It's obvious they don't know what a ruben sandwich is composed of and the waitress blamed it on the "mexican cooks." Also extremly overpriced! Stay away!!!!
