This is a fun place to go with friends and family but get ready for everyone to be there! The lines are long and the prices go up yearly! But again, it's a fun place and the kids love it! Adults do also.

Children love this water park. It is a bit pricey, but the kids love it so much. If you live close, the season pass is a good deal. The kids play area is a good size, with several slides going down in a big pool.
There are several giant slides ~depending on the day, sometimes the lines are long, sometimes short. Very helpful, friendly staff who will watch out for the younger children that cannot swim.
There is a big pool for people who just want to float around. Big wave pool. Long 'lazy river'. Plenty of lounge chairs for people to lie back on. The food sold at the park is good, albeit a bit pricey. Seems to be kept fairly clean. There are showers in the restrooms, as well as many lockers to stow away your stuff.

Lots of fun activities for everyone. Huge water slides , a wave pool and there is even a section for the tiny tots to swim and play. They hold concerts and other fun and exciting activities to suit the whole family. If your in town and looking for something really fun to do with your family then i'd suggest blue bayou.

PROS: huge selection of water rides
CONS: prices a little high but worth it

Blue Bayou is the only water park you can visit anywhere near Baton Rouge. The price is a little steep to get in. It is around $30. I would expect to pay that at a big name theme park. Overall, the park is fun. They have waterslides for all different ages. They have a wave pool as well. There is a large area just for small children. This area has small slides and a play area. The park offers food for purchase. The food is a little expensive. You are not allowed to bring food into the park so if you are hungry you will have to buy it from them. This park is fun for all ages.

I went to Blue Bayou Waterpark twice this summer. There was a deal where I could go back the second time in the same week for no charge. I wasn't impressed with most of the park. Unless you want to swim in the pools all day, then you'll spend most of your time waiting in lines for the slides. The lines for the (very overpriced) food were even worse, and there was nothing to shade you from the sun. Maybe other times of the year are better, I went in July. The few slides I went on were fun though.

PROS: Variety of attractions
CONS: expensive, VERY busy

We bought season passes this past summer because of the great concerts they have been offering. Concerts are free with the price of admission - and there were some great concerts - Ryan Cabrera, Aaron Carter, Diana Digormo, etc. They have many rides and a great childrens section. The wave pool is large and offers some really good waves. Fun Fair Park is within the park so you can go ride in the amusement park - also included in the price of admission. Lots of shaded areas and plenty of parking.

PROS: Great selection of rides
CONS: Nothing
