I know Allen Lawnmower is a big name in these parts. We have used them for years. But in my experience they have become entirely to rude and way to arrogant if they think they can be disrespectful and continually provide poor customer service given their crappy attitude towards their customers.
Clearly they don't need my business or yours.
Do yourself a favor, spare yourself the arrogant condescending attitude and find a smaller operation that appreciates your business. We found Jim at Four Seasons in Granby, Ct to be GREAT call him 860-653-1977

The people at Allen lawnmower hare habitual liers. They lie when they say they will ship, they lie and say no one is available to talk to day, ofter day, after day. After 3 months my chain saw finally arrived and it was the wrong one. They

When we need our lawnmower repaired we take it to Allen. They are honest and know their business. They will let you know if it is really worth your while to fix it. We have used them for over ten year. I highly recommend them.
4I purchased a new snowblower from Allen Lawnmower. From the start, it had problems with the auger and an oil leak. They had the unit for the entire summer without getting to the bottom of things. This winter it has spent weeks being "repaired" (twice), forcing me to shovel snow by hand. The onus is on the customer to make multiple calls. The machine is now in my garage, still not working properly. I am waiting for them to "get right out" to my place to pick it up again. It has been over two weeks. It's time to start calling again, I suppose. I would recommend Allen's to those with plenty of disposable income, patience, and friendly neighbors with power tools you can borrow.

We didn't buy our mower or snowblower from Allen, but we do bring in for repair and tuneup. Service has been very timely and very reasonably priced. They sharpen blades very quickly.
4This location is just okay for service. I've had several issues with the length of time it takes them to repair something. At times they've had things for the entire summer before they are finally ready. The staff is pleasant, but that doesn't make up for the horror of bringing something there to be repaired and trying to get them to actually contact you to give you a status update.
The location is good, and the staff pleasant.
