You can't rate a small Thai place with 5 stars because a 5 star restaurant is going to be more like Menton... that said, if you could give 5 stars to Jae's they deserve it for their special take on delicious, fresh Thai cuisine.

Some of my friends are vegetarians and vegans, so we are always searching for places to eat that provide enough options for both our veggie and meat-loving friends. Some restaurants provide more choices than others and land on our short

Pros: Some of the best Korean food in town

Jae's on Columbus is a great neighborhood sushi resataurant. While they are not so creative with their rolls, they are fresh and reasonably priced. The Idaho Maki is fantastic and they have a nice portion of dishes for my husband who does not eat sushi.

Jae's is a good local sushi place but definitely not the best. I love their variety of sushi rolls and it's nice that they offer an entire Thai selection for my friends who don't care for sushi. Their Idaho Rolls (sweet potato tempura) are the best I've had yet and their spicy tuny, sake, etc. are actually spicy, which differs from many other places. I would recommend them if you're looking for something in the neighborhood that you can do takeout or dine in a nice atmosphere but if you're looking for the best sushi in town there are a couple others I'd go to first.

Pros: huge variety, great sashimi, great neighborhood

Cons: understaffed, annoyingly useless front of house hostess

Jae's is soo good! I've been here many times with friends and we love it. Try the Spider Roll - melts in your mouth. The Miso is real good too. Drinks and service are always top notch too.

I love this restaurant! It has a cute atmosphere, decent parking, great drinks and good food. Best of all is the service. Our lovely waitress remembers us every time even when months have passed between dining there. Vegetarian suggestions and modifications are always delicious. It's a great place for lunch and a nice change for casual dining. Prices for food are reasonable although drinks are a bit pricey.

PROS: Selection, service, drink menu
CONS: I'm not a connoisseur so I can't vouch for authenticity

Jae's is by far my favorite place for pad thai and sushi. It's great for take out, but a cute little restaurant for a night out. It occupies the first floor of a brownstone on Columbus in the South End, off the beaten path of the other mainstays in the neighborhood. Their lunch menu is another way of satisfying a sushi craving at a much sweeter price.

Five of us met here for a birthday dinner. Four of us had the Pad Thai; the fifth had tempura shrimp. Tempura wished she'd joined the rest of us! Pleasant atmosphere, nice waitress who took our picture without fuss. Generally I'd say stay

Stay away from the sushi and stick to the thai dishes or noodle soup bowls... those are all fine nd decent... All is overpriced for what you are getting..
