Redbones is a fun place. Head down to Underbones for a more college age crowd. The food is decent, but I'd recommend the ribs. Good beer and music...what more could you ask for?

Their food is good. Their brisket was not my favorite however their ribs and quality beer selection make up for it. Pulled pork is good and the atmosphere make it a good experience

Redbones is awesome! I love the pulled pork and their BBQ sauce is great. The prices are good and you get lots of food. I been to events they have catered and they did a great job. They bring the smokers and everything.

I LOVE Redbones! The pulled pork there is amazing! Not to mention the cornbread. The art downstairs is awesome too. And they deliver! Definitely worth checking out.

Best ribs in Boston by far. I've tried all the "best" places and this place definitely wins! Parking is a hassle but it is well worth it. Also great for take out...

Redbones is a great place for a large family gathering. The decor is the typical of the "nail it to the wall and explain it latter" school. A little dark but still festive. The service is good and was very patient with our group of nine. The barbecue was very good with tender pork and beef ribs. The bbq sauce is not overly sweet. Portions are large and I felt the price was reasonable.

Everybody loves Redbones, but I avoided it for a long time because I don't particularly like BBQ; Recently I discovered the catfish fingers and can't get enough of them.

Redbones' commitment to the community is almost as impressive as their reputation for good food. They support many local organizations. Most recently Redbones sponsored the phenomenally successful ArtCards to raise money for art programs in the Somerville Schools. Redbones also supports the Somerville Homeless Coalition, MassBike, and NEMBA,

I thought this was a good place. I tried to order some food for delivery. I gave them the whole order and then they tell me they can't take credit cards. That's crap. They're food is good but that's ridiculous.

Message from Redbones Barbecue

When Redbones Barbecue opened in 1987, a BBQ restaurant of its authenticity was virtually unheard of north of the Mason Dixon Line. Years later, with BBQ joints popping up everywhere, Redbones still stands out because of the fun, the food, and the wide range of services. Customers and staffers alike share the spirit of Redbones, where community rather than commercialism is the order of the day.

The Fun - In the dining room, there is a constant flow of customers, waitstaff, music and food. Nostalgic photographs of BBQ days gone by, autographed photos of rhythm and blues greats, and artistic, homemade menus and signs adorn the walls of the unpretentious main room. For the curious, there are counter seats up front, where people can observe first hand the action of the open kitchen and chat with the pitmaster and crew.
