After reading a previous review I almost missed a great night out. I heard some good things about Tiki Room so I decided to check it out for myself (with 15 of my closest friends). My friend order the beef noodle dish that a previous reviewer condemned. The server explained the noodles on this dish were cold but we could substitute fried rice instead which we did. The tropical drinks were great and the food was tasty. There is an initial sticker shock at the $36 pu pu platter and a $24 scorpion bowl (it is 60oz) but when you do the math splitting things up between four or so people it really isnt that bad. Tiki Room is a fun and casual place for group dining with a cool late night scene. I will be back soon for another Mai Tai, Coconut Mojito and Smores!

Pros: drinks, staff, s'mores

I went to Tiki Room last night after visiting Boston Beer Works. it wasnt bad except for the price... $6 for a beer. i ordered three soco lime and three yeager Bombs, and it came out to about $50. but your in the most popular place so it is to be expected. very good music and a nice crowd. but it was also too crowded at the same time. it needs a bigger dance floor.

I have never eaten at a place with worse food or worse service. I have been here twice and have never experienced such rude and unattentive service in my life. We had a reserved party for 30 and none of the food was ready, people were sitting in our seats, and we had to go inside to the bar to get drinks, because the waitress refused to come to our table. The food, once it did come, was so greasy and overcooked that it was inedible. And don't even bother with the overpriced mixed drinks- there's no alcohol in them!!!

DON'T GO!!!!

I went the Tiki Room and had fun, but I wouldn't make it an all the time thing. You definately pay for the atmosphere, because for three pu pu platters, a scorpion bowl, a pina colada, and two shots, it was around $160. And that was with 10% off. I don't recommend the drinks there if you have a high tolerance; there's not much alcohol in there. The food was alright, we had the Fenway and Classic Pu Pu, and then the S'mores Pu Pu, which I definately recommend. The quesadilla, buffalo wings, and egg rolls were the best. I don't recommend the Peking dumplings. Also, the waitress didn't give us our leis until the end of the meal, and we had to ask. I'd probably go back only occasionally or for a group night out.

Excellent scorpion bowls, and a good variety of other tropical drinks. A little pricey, but you're paying for the real estate and the view of Landsdowne St. Sit outside or near the window to watch the clubbers strut past. Service was very slow, but we had Landsdowne to entertain us so it wasn't so bad.

I dont mind spending, but expect to get what I pay for. We were there on Cinco De Mayo 05. Drinks were tasty but on the exorbitant side at $8.50 a Margarita. PuPu Platters are $24 for 2 people and $36 for 3. One man with an appetite could easily eat the $36 one. Deplorable service. We saw 2 of our drinks (party of 7) at the bar for over 20 minutes while other people were ordering and receiving in that time and the bar wasnt even busy (tough to order from her, too). One of us got a plate of steak/noodles looking like they'd be OK if they werent COLD. When sent back, it took so long they were COLDER. SO bad, we didnt bother to get the manager, its unsaveable. We took a chance, shame on us. Ignore this, shame on you.

Pros: Drinks were tasty, Warm food was good, Attractive decor

Cons: Exorbitant prices, Horrible service, Frugal "portions"

I'm a Mojito connoisseur and have had about 100 different Mojito's at at least 40 different locations (in Boston and beyond) and Tiki's Room's Raspberry Mojito is by far my favorite! Everyone must order one!!! The food we had was also very, very good.

Pros: Mixed Drinks, Friendly Service, MBTA Accessible

Cons: Parking

The drinks are really expensive but worth it I guess. The music is great, every song is a good one. You'll feel like you're in a more tropical place than Boston. Also, get there early to get an outdoor table to people watch during a Red Sox game or the Landsdowne Street crowd.

I really liked it there, but parking there sucks. The place across the street, Ipswich Garage, almost made me want to never go back to Landsdowne again! Be sure to steer clear, and although it seems cheap, most of the places there have valet that is cheaper. Rude attendant, and no mention of the fact beforehand that I was to leave mykeys in my unlocked car. The last straw was returning to my car to see the attendant and others trying to break into my car so they could move it.

I went to the Tiki Room for the first time this week, and I absolutely LOVE it!!! There was a good vibe going on. The pupu platters were a bit overwhelming with all the choices, but I am really looking forward to them getting a dessert one... hint hint!
