Phydeaux

One of the few stores I can walk into to buy small animal supplies and not have to worry if what I'm buying will kill my poor pets. Unlike Petsmart, Petco, and those chains, they care more about animals than about making a quick buck off of unsuspecting owners!

These folks are knowledgeable and so very helpful in all ways. They know their products, understand dogs and cats well and easily help with suggestions and recommendations. I have shopped there for a number of years and would not buy my pet's food and health items anywhere else.

I have found that Carrboro is a generally dog friendly place, so it is no surprise that Phydeaux is a great spot for dog supplies. This is a very unique pet shop, it has all of your normal supplies as well as original treats for your pets. They bake their own puppy treats- this will surely have your pet loving you and wanting more. I would recommend this store to anyone who has a 4 legged member of the family if you are looking for collars, leashes, bowls, or unique items for your pet.

I heart Phydeaux. My roommate and I have an elderly mix breed dog Maxx, who is the center of our lives and we frequently take trips together to Phydeaux, a boutique for the furry in Carrboro. Pets are of course welcome and staff keeps biscuits on hand to treat non-human visitors. Maxx has some special needs having sensitive skin and a sensitive stomach, and Phydeaux has all of the food, treats, shampoos, etc. for dogs with any kind of needs. Additionally, they have fashionable bowls and plates for spoiled pets, as well as amusing toys and interesting food for the picky eater. The staff at Phydeaux are always friendly and one even has a hedgehog that sometimes stays in the store.
