My son loves going to Life and Science. It is very worth it to get the membership. If you have a family of 4 and go at least 4 times you already saved money by purchasing the membership. Its best to go during the week BUT not on Wednesday,

This was a great Valentines Day gift, my husband took the family here on Valentines Day and we Loved it. The kids had a blast experimenting and looking at all the great exhibits. The animals was my 2 yr olds favorite we got to see the black bear and Lemur's and lots more. The butterfly house was my 5 yr old daughters favorite she could have stayed in there all day. We cannot wait to get to see the dinosaur exhibit coming soon. Lots of fun.

The museum is great for kids. The exhibits are exciting and ever changing, brings hands on experience to little kids. The butterfly conservatory is the best part of the museum. Miles of nature walk with wild animals exhibits. The train ride is the perfect end to the outing.

We absolutely love this place. After two trips, we still haven't seen the whole place. Its more like a science center and zoo rolled into one. Plenty of hands on stuff for the kids (and adults) to touch and explore. Make sure you bring your walking shoes. There's a lot to discover. If you're ever visiting Durham, you cannot leave without coming here. You'll be glad you did!

This museum is the best I've ever visited! Unlike other science museums, this museum provides unlimited opportunities for "hands on" and interactive learning. We spent over an hour in the wooden tile exhibit and it was so refreshing to watch my children using their IMAGINATIONS to build cities and palaces. We loved the outdoor musical area and the butterfly conservatory was fabulous. We were able to identify many of the butterflies which were listed on the guide. We also loved the bears and lemurs. After 5 hours at the museum, we left with great memories and plans to revisit soon and possibly participate in a summer camp. This was a fabulous museum!

You can easily spend an entire day checking out everything the Museum of Life and Science has to offer. You can ride on the train and check out an old airplane and walk on awesome trails. You can explore the wonderful butterfly museum and have the time of your life getting very close to nature. The butterflies might even land on you! My daughter enjoyed making a cloud and creating a tornado, which they get a chance to do inside!

The North Carolina Museum of Life and Science is an awesome museum to be enjoyed by people of all ages. Some exhibits are specifically designed with kids in mind. They have activities for kids, such as playing with bubbles, blocks, shapes, patterns, and colors. Their butterfly house is absolutely beautiful. You can also see several wild life animals at the museum, including alligators, bats, snakes, turtles, owls, fish, and more. They also have some live farm animals, including sheep, goats, chickens, pigs, and turkeys.

I just loved Durham's Museum of Life and Science! I took my sister there with her kids and they had an absolute blast! There are plenty of hands-on activities for the kids to play with. Try to go on a day that is not too hot because there are fun things for them to do outside, but if it's too hot they won't be able to really enjoy themselves. Before you leave, make sure you visit the butterfly house. It is absolutely amazing!

This is a great museum, very hands on for the kids. There is a lot to see inside but they also have a train ride outside. There is also a lot of playground equipment to play on outside. The butterfly house is extraordinary, you walk through and the butterflys can land on you. It's a great place to spend the afternoon.

this is a parent's or caregiver's wonderland... kids are given free rein to explore and imagine and you have no mess to pick up afterward - on the contrary you are left with a happily tired child. stretch their brains and their legs at this fun and rewarding museum. i am happy to say that we have a famiy membership (best bargain around - right up there with a family membership to the NC Zoo) and my daughter always looks forward to her weekly visit.

My family has had a family member package for three years now. My 5yo boy and 6yo girl absolutely love it. He gets to run around, touch, bang on stuff, see live animals and bang on stuff. She gets to do arts and crafts stuff and experiment with all of the science gadgets. And me and my wife usually end up learning something new ourselves. I would definiltey reccommend this place for anyone. Oh they even have 'Nights Out', where parents have an adult evening while the kids play and learn.
