Teneycks Service Center is gas station/mechanic shop right at the edge of Waldwick, NJ, just before entering Midland Park. The first thing I notice about Teneycks is the gas prices every time I drive by... they seem to have one of the cheapest gas around in the area, at least by a good 5 cents or more. I may be a stickler when it comes to saving gas but it all adds up in the end. I really appreciate Teneycks for being so competitive.

The second thing I notice is how busy they with their mechanic shop. I haven't needed any car service from them but from the looks of things, they garner a lot of business in their garage.

Unfortunately, because this is such a small station they aren't very many gas pumps, possibly only four that are available at a time. This becomes a problem when there is a line-up as it's in an awkward part of the town on a busy road with two main side streets on either side. The traffic can get backed up a bit.

The staff is friendly and have a good sense of humour as well. It makes it even more pleasurable getting into a small discussion with them.

I always keep my eye on gas prices, especially now as the rates keep going through the roof. Teneycks keeps it manageable even in tough times.

CONS: Traffic congestion
