I stayed here once because it was cheap...and as soon as I got in the room I could tell why. Kinda dark and dirty even though it had been cleaned. The casino itself is fun and it's great to be off the strip and check out the light show on Fremont street, I just don't think I would ever stay in one of their rooms again. They did have sufficient parking, though!

This was not one of my favorite downtown Casinos. There are not many new slots but the place is nice and clean, very good restaurants and friendly staff, Good coffee and donut stop.

This is a great place to gamble if you want to stay and work the downtown circuit. Parking is convenient, and food can be found plentiful.Quarters are still used here on some of the machines but tickets are getting more popular.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times, but have gambled there even more. I love downtown Las Vegas - it has a totally different feel than the strip. I also love that at Fitzgerald's they have a ton of quarter video poker machines and they still take quarters. I love to play using quarters - the money lasts a little longer. The rooms at this hotel are just O.K. - reasonably priced. Parking is convenient and you can walk to many of the other downtown casinos.

When I go to Vegas, I will usually stop in at Fitzgerald's. It is a nice place to gamble. It is smaller than the other casinos but it will not disappoint you. I would recommend making it one of your stops.

Fitzgeralds is the first hotel/casino on the Freemont Street experience. It is the only place you can stand on a balcony to watch the Freemont Street show. I would recommend going on the Fitz balcony and checking out the show at least once. The Fitzgerald offered rooms for $30 and we stayed there for one night. The rooms were small but clean. The parking was free and close to our room. This hotel always had a lot of action in it. It was a lot of fun. We thought the plus to this hotel was the Krispy Kreme in it. I would stay here again if I was on a budget. We enjoyed ourselves here.

We were really in a small budget on this trip, so I had to take the Fitz. At a rate of $29.00 a nigth you know you're not getting a Venetian-class room. Rooms are very simple, there were a lot of stains on the carpet and walls even on the mattress.
Pray you don't have noizee neighbors next door, cause you can hear everything they say.
If you're not planning on spendig much time in your room, I do recommend it.
Dont forget to see the Fremont Street Experience, I think this attraction is better than the ones on the Strip.

The casino is okay - certainly not as much fun as many others in the area - but you must look out for organized grifters who work out of this location. When we arrived, we played a quicky prize game in the front door area, didn't win ... and were immediately accosted by a "helper", who turned out to be a high pressure saleswoman offering us a "free all inclusive vacation". Uh, right. It seems that they go after young couples in order to get them into timeshare meetings. Of course, they give you a limo and drive you out somewhere, all the better to prevent you from leaving during the high pressure sales pitch. If it uses the same customer service tactics as a cult, it's not a good business. Not only were we disgusted by this, but the saleswoman made a huge boo boo by taking my hand and announcing that my husband had bought me a rotten wedding ring. No kidding, really.

WE GIVE FITZGERALD'S A TRY EVERY TIME WE GO DOWNTOWN TO SEE IF IT IS US/OR THE PLACE THAT IS
CONSTANTLY "UN-FUN".AFTER MANY VISITS WE HAVE DECIDED IT IS THE PLACE AS WE HAVE A BALL AT THE OTHER DOWNTOWN CASINO'S BUT NEVER AT FITZGERALD'S. WHEN WE GO THERE IT SEEMS AS IF THE WORKERS ARE ALWAYS UNHAPPY AND GRUMPY. THE BARTENDERS HARDLY EVEN LOOK AT US WHEN WE ORDER AND THEY BARELY CAN GET OUT "THANK-YOU" AFTER WE LEAVE A TIP. THE SERVICE AT THE BARS SEEM TO ALWAYS BE SLOW..WE HAVE WALKED-OUT MORE THAN ONCE FROM NOT BEING ABLE TO GET SERVED AT THE BAR AFTER WAITING A REASONABLE TIME. WE HAVE YET TO WIN A THING AT ANY OF THE MACHINES. WE HAVE TRIED EVERY TYPE OF MACHINE FROM THE PENNY MACHINES TO THE $5 MACHINES. WE HAVE PLAYED SLOTS, POKER AND PROGRESSIVE MACHINES WITH ABSOLUTLY NO WINS. IT SEEMS FOREVER BEFORE A COCKTAIL SERVER SHOWS-UP. WE DECIDED THAT IF WE JOINED THE PLAYER'S CLUB & GET A PLAYER'S CLUB CARD THEN MAYBE WE WOULD HAVE MORE WINS/ BETTER SERVICE..NOT! INFACT WHILE APPLYING FOR OUR CARDS WE WERE TRYING TO MAKE CONVERSATION W/ THE MAN WHO SIGNED US UP..HE DID NOT EVEN SMILE..HARDLY TALKED..I ASK HIM HOW HE LIKED WORKING AT FITZGERALD'S..HE JUST ROLLED HIS EYS AND SHOOK HIS HEAD IN A NEGATIVE MOVEMENT. WE WERE DETERMINED TO FIND SOMETHING POSITIVE ABOUT THIS PLACE AS WE LIVE IN VEGAS & WE LOVE TO PLAY DOWNTOWN/ FREMONT STREET..BUT, SADLY, AFTER NUMEROUS VISITS TO FRITZGERALD'S WE HAVE DECIDED TO STOP EVEN TRYING TO HAVE A GOOD TIME.
IT ALWAYS SEEMS TO BE CROWDED BUT NON-ONE SEEMS TO BE DOING ANYTHING BUT WALKING AROUND LOOKING. I CAN'T REVIEW THEIR FOOD AS WE HAVE NEVER EATEN THERE BUT THERE SEEMS TO BE AMPLE EATING SPOTS. WE HAVE GONE UPSTAIRS TO THE BAR & CASINO HOPEING TO GET BETTER SERVICE/ AND BTEER WINS ON THE MACHINES BUT EVEN THAT DID NOT WORK.

PROS: IT IS IN THE WONDERFUL DOWNTOWN VEGAS
CONS: SLOW, RUDE SERVICE, NO WINS ON ANY MACHINES..EVER!!

Has nice rooms that are clean and quiet for the most part. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Found their restuarants to be really good. They offer a lot of little freebies and the slots are pretty good. Definitely a good place to stay that won't empty your wallet.

Located on Fremont, you can walk from the casino floor onto the fremont street experience. There is a Krispy Kreme in it with free WiFi. The staff were a little stiff and not as friendly as other places in Vegas, but not rude either.

Why? Because they have a 50 cents table where the minimum bet is $2. So, while you won't necessarily win big, you won't lose big either. If you are just learing how to play roulette, this is a great place to sharpen your novice skills.
Don't come here for a quality hotel or great vegas experience. It is all about a cheap game of roulette. Go somewhere else for all other activities.
