"Last week I purchased my first puppy. It is a Shokie- a beatuiful mix of a Yorkie and Shihtzu. I was so impressed with the service. I thought the entire process would be stressful and I was nervous, but they made me feel relaxed and confident that I would be able to take care of my puppy.They have a wide selection of pet supplies for a reasonable price. I will definitely take my puppy for their grooming service, since their prices beat all other places.
I LOVE AMERICAN KENNELS!!"

I bought a Mini Schnauzer more than 35 years ago who i thought was the best and sweetest-She lived to 17 and a half years and had six liters-An amazing animal which i got from American Kennels-Had another in between which i did not purchase thru American kennels and it was always sickly-Then 13 years ago i purchased a Wheaton Terrier from them whose grandmother was a champion, just as i thought no dog could ever surpass my Schnauzer i have this Wheaton that is the perfect dog in every way,sweet, intelligent ,easy to train well mannered,loving to every member of my family and the bonus is that she is also beautiful-Cant go any place without getting compliments even though she is approaching her 13th birthday in a few months-She is in great shape-I only wish she could live as long as we will-When her time comes it will be like loosing a daughter-Obviously both these dogs had fine breeding .

I have never bought a dog here, but I have bought some toys and food. I was very happy with my purchase and my dog thinks the food is delicious (from what I can tell). I would recommend this place to friends and dogs.

The woman who helped me was so great - our dog chews through her toys like a maniac, and she recommended a Kong that is still in excellent shape a week later (a new record!). Very knowledgeable and really took the time to listen to what we needed

The staff were very nice and highly informed. I recomennd this place to anyone who asks me where to get a great dog and many people do after seeing my 'matinee idol' pup. They also have a great selection of unique collars, dog carriers and shampoo, toys and all weather gear.

My husband and I bought our Cavalier King Charles puppy here 4 years ago and all I can say is Wow! This was one of the best decisions of my life and the follow up care from this place was excellent. The vetenarian gave me free medicine and vitamins to give her and taught me everything I needed to know to get started. I've been back many times for advice and always had a positive experience.

"I bought my dog Chester, a very healthy miniature cream poodle, at this store five years ago. Chester has a wonderful personality and is beloved by all. He has not had any serious medical issues, except the usual puppy eats the blanket kind of thing. When I went there, I told them that I did not care what my dog looked like. I wanted a dog that was interested in people. The lady helping me got this look in her eye and said, ""I think I have someone for you."" Chester and I have been best buddies ever since.
I should said that the store also has a Vet Tech on staff who was very concerned about my dog's health and who had very specific instructions for taking care of him in the city."

My experience with this store has actually been extremely positive and it is worth making the point. The staff at the store were informative on his vaccines and breeder. They were also, nice, supportive etc. In fact both my trainer and my vet have said that my new doggie appears great.

I bought my absolutely adorable shichi mix breed from American Kennel about 9 months ago. THey were very helpful when I bought them and I continue to bring them there for grooming and day care occasionally and everyone is SO NICE and happy to see the dogs.

We have had nothing but great experiences leaving our boy, Danny, with American Kennels. We have been traveling more than usual this past year and I am very happy we have American nearby. He jumps out of the car in a hurry every time we arrive because he knows he gets to go play with his friends! Thanks for taking such great care of Danny.

My dog Jake loves American Kennels. They staff always greet him and he just gets Oh-So-Happy to be there and see his friends. In our home, we cannot say doggie day care or anything of the sort because Jake gets so excited and wants to go right then and there. It has been a wonderful way to keep him socialized!

American Kennel is such a great place for dogs! I have had dogs for my entire life and have never found such a dog friendly environment. The staff members are excellent in both grooming and care over an extended period. Do not hesitate to use them.

Both my dog and I love coming to American Kennels. I work from home so usually Sammy is with me all day, but sometimes I need to go into the office and hate leaving him home alone all day. I think he really enjoys his time with you all, he definitely loves running and playing with all of his friends! I love that not only is he in good hands and tuckered out when I pick him up, but he also gets groomed while he is there. I drop him off looking a mess and pick him up and he is tired and looks great!

I looked into every Kennel all over the area, American Kennels is the kindest and most trustworthy place to watch your dog. I left my 2 dogs with them for 8 days and when I returned my dogs looked as if they had played all week and were even washed and cleaned. When I returned home my dogs fell right to sleep. They have set prices but were negotiable. Anytime I checked in they were very courteous and gave a good update. They have a dog too, which is great for your dog(s) to play with. They received amazing attention (unlike other kennels I have gone to in the past). I'm sooooo happy I found American Kennels and would never consider anywhere else.....Honestly!!!!!!

It was obvious my dogs received plenty of exercise and play while they were boarded, as they were tired when we got home. This is no easy feat, as we have a spastic Boxer and a high-energy Lab mix. Both seemed happy to see us, but they also seemed to have had a good time, despite being away from us for almost a week. They also looked healthy and well taken care of. the owner explained that one of dogs really enjoyed playing in the water -- which showed he knows our dog. Overall, it was a good value for the services they offered.

We came here to see Robert today because Cuddles was all natty and could not put a brush through his fur for nothing. By the time Robert was done, Cuddles came out looking so handsome and clean! Thanks so much :0)

My cat Gizmo is a really big grouch and does not like anybody picking him up let alone somebody grooming him. However, for some reason when we come to American Kennel for a nail trim the cat groomer Robert has his way with Gizmo and my cat lets him do just about what ever he wants to him. I couldn't believe it. It's like he put my grumpy boy under a spell!!!!

A lot of companies talk the talk but can never walk the walk. That is not the case with American Kennels, they can do both at the same time because they are just that good. We love bringing our animals here every time we leave out of town and for all our grooming needs. You should try them!

What a wonderful service American Kennels provides! I have 2 dogs and travel frequently for business, and it's much easier knowing that my dogs are well cared for while I am gone. They are very reliable, great customer service, and their pet sitters love animals. I've seen a difference in their behavior when I return.

I take my dog here religiously once every two weeks to get groomed. She gets messy pretty quickly but always come out of here looking fluffy and beautiful. The staff is really great and the prices are very reasonable.

I love American Kennels! I take my dog there about twice a month to get a grooming. Whenever I get him back he is always in top condition. The staff is friendly and calm around all the dogs. Keep up the great work and you will always have my business.

I was going out of town for only 4 days but I had no one to watch my lab. I was in a rush trying to find a somewhat cheap kennel to put her in. I came across American Kennels. They were clean and when I took her in we both immediately fell in love with the place. The staff is amazing and treats all the animals great. I love it here.

American Kennels is the best pet store with the nicest and most knowledgeable staff, in my opinion. This is customer service. If they don't have it you don't need it. Prices are competitive. It's an excellent local business.

I've taken my dog to get groomed here many times, and every time it's been great. My puppy is really short tempered and they know just how to handle her, this is the only place I will go!
