Barneys New York is the ultra department store in Manhattan. The Madison Avenue store is drop dead gorgeous and carries all of the top designers including new cutting edge stuff. The windows by Simon Doonan are always a scream and the service is top notch. Drop by the fish tank on the first floor and say hello to the fish on your way out.

Whenever I'm in New York a trip to Barneys is one I have to make
The store never ceases to amaze me with the beautiful displays as you enter the store..They continue as you proceed to all the floors with merchandise calling your name..Too bad, for the most part ,the prices are a bit out of my range but every once in a while I do find something at a good price to bring home with me to remember my visit

The store never ceases to amaze me with the beautiful displays as you enter the store..They continue as you proceed to all the floors with merchandise calling your name..Too bad, for the most part ,the prices are a bit out of my range but every once in a while I do find something at a good price to bring home with me to remember my visit

Barneys New York has everything that is new and interesting in fashion. Unlike many department stores Barney's doesn't try to sell everything. You wont find chocolate for example, just floor after floor of high end clothing all beautifully arranged. The service is top notch.

I don't think any other store matches Barney's for sheer scope of luxury goods. The service is impeccable , the Simon Doonan window displays are always fun and the merchandise is all top drawer stuff. A great store to shop.

This is a great place to spend an afternoon. They have such beautiful clothing and accessories as well as some terriffic jewelry that will enhance any outfit. Of course the prices are outrageous but it's fun browsing and pretending you can afford everything here. There's also a restaurant in the store so you can enjoy a light lunch after your shopping experience. You can't go to NYC for a shopping outing and not stop by Barneys - it just wouldn't be right!
