I cannot recommend Manhattan Eyeworks enough. We have been going there for years but they rectified an expensive problem, not of their doing, with equanimity and professioanlism. Thanks Frank

Best selection of V.S.P frames in N.Y.C. My friends and I walked all over the place before finding them. Glad we finally found them! Now we know where to go.
5I've been coming here for three years now. The selection is great and I always receive good prices since I'm a regular. Love my Dr. Gross, and all the girls working at the front. Will be back for more eye wear.
5The doctor was very good, did a test I've never had another doctor offer. I believe he called it dilated exam. Great place. I highly recommend Manhattan Eyeworks.
5Love the vibe at Manhattan Eyeworks. Cool people. Awesome glasses. Prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend.
5I always have trouble looking for glasses, until I visited Manhattan Eyeworks. The girls working their are so helpful, and full of patience. I actually had fun looking for a new pair of glasses.
5I have always been a difficult contact lens fit. Dr. Gross spent 45 minutes with me to get a really good, comfortable contact lens fit. I never felt rushed, and I never seen better than now. Thank you Dr. Gross.
5my experience at Manhattan Eyeworks was very good, the doctor was polite and very friendly, he answered all of my questions and was very informative about my dry eyes.
5I will definitively be coming back soon. Came here to buy prescription sunglasses. Great prices. Helpful staff. Good selection of glasses.
5Went there for pink eye. The doctor gave me some drops and it went away. I really found a great Dr. here.
5My whole family goes here. The exams are good, and the eyeglass selection is really large with lots of variety. The staff was very patient with me as well. Large selection to choose from. Lots of high end products and they also take my insurance. Pretty cool. I liked the doctor too.

Before going to Manhattan Eyeworks another doctor somewhere else misdiagnosed me and had me using steroid drops when I didn't need them. Dr Gross properly diagnosed my problem and made my red eyes look great and white again. Thank you Dr Gross.
5Best selection of frames in New York City and also the ones who would take my insurance. I went to twenty other places upon this place.
5Very thorough eye examination. I sent my grandmother here as well and it was a good thing I did. She was diagnosed with macular degeneration.
5Very thorough examination. My glasses were ready the next day too. I am pleased with the service that this place provided me with.
5One of the few places that accepts VSP who carries Oliver Peoples sun/glasses. Ask for Dartagnan. He is the greatest!
5Dr. Gross is a wonderful eye doctor!!! The wait was minimal, and the staff was excellent in helping me find my eyeglasses! :) yay!
5Recently went to the East Village Manhattan Eyeworks to use up flex spending. (Dont forget to use it up and that you can use flex for eyewear.) Got an eye exam, picked frames for prescription glasses, contacts, and sunglasses. Flex and

Great place for designer frames. I have a vision plan and had gone to two other shops that take my plan and this place had, by far, the best collection of designer stuff. I ordered Prada reading glasses and my wife got some Gucci distance glasses. The staff was really easy going (like me) and the service was exceptional. They were ready ahead of schedule and i would recommend this place to everyone with eyes! I also liked Dr. Raush, the eye doctor. He got my prescription right, and i am not that easy. I always went to Cohens in the past, but Never Again.

Pros: Great Selection
Cons: none
i guess most people use these sites to just rag a business when they are unhappy but i have been shopping here for 8yrs and now my children come and my whole family are exremely happy with the service and quality of work. Some people don't know what a neighborhood store is all about and critique a store that has been a staple in the east village for over 13yrs now so i am writing a good review because i am a loyal customer. You only here bad news when people talk and i guess these sites are people .

Cons: sometimes edgy east village mentality
Worst place I have ever been to. This "company" does not care about its customers. Once you have given them your money they disregard you all together. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EVER GOING TO THIS PLACE FOR CONTACT OR GLASSES OR ANY SORT OF EYECARE. I repeat, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE if you care about your eye. The customer service is horrible and the owner is unprofessional. It's amazing how the owner of the place is the worst. He has an attitude and no phone manners.

Cons: Horrible customer/eye care. Owner does not spend time to explain instructions. Owner is unprofessional and rude.
