I recently took my son, 2, and his buddy, 2, to the Picture People downtown Salem. I was very impressed with the picures that they took. I was also very impressed witht their staff and how quick they had the pictures developed and in frames for us to purchase. I would go back again but I would make sure I had a coupon or something because they are pretty pricey.

I give them 3 starts because I'm usually satisfied with my experience with the Picture People. The staff really varies and I usually get someone different each time. Some are very good at getting kids to smile, while others are clearly not.

This photo studio specializes in taking great pictures of kids. They have a fantastic variety of props for pictures and I haven't seen a child who didn't look wonderful in the pictures. The photographers are very child friendly and work hard to get down on a level with the children and really interact with them. They also recognize that children have short attention spans. The pictures are processed and available in a few short hours, so it's a great place to go if you need a picture in a hurry.

The last 2 years, the quality is no longer what it once was, and the photographers do not seem to have any talent other then just taking a picture. The prices have gotten extremely high as well, and in my opinion you do not get that great of quality for what you paying for. The only good thing is that the pictures are ready in 1 hr.

LOVE the props, backgrounds, and poses. With the portrait club and coupons, the prices are great. Jme is a GREAT photographer and the other employees are so helpful. Can't wait to get my kids back!

The Picture People in Downtown Salem is great. My wife and I had our engagement pictures taken there over 7 years ago and my wife and her mother and grandmother had their pictures taken there. The staff is great and their props are fun. The only concern I have is that there prices are high but you get what you pay for (quality pics).
