Love this Winery. Excellent Pear Wine, Chardonney, etc. The winery is lovely with a huge old fashioned bar-like area, fireplace and all the trappings. Lots of room for wondering but the WINE IS OUR FAVORITE!!!

After our hike, we got to return to the tasting room and sample all 12 wines bottled at the winery. I absolutely LOVED their whites, and I'm usually a strictly red-wine drinker. They even have a pear wine, sweet and with a low alcohol content, that slips down the throat like the breath of August. I couldn't resist picking up a bottle for later!

What fun! We chose the self-guided tour through Pheasant Valley Vineyards. You get a small booklet, and you use it to guide yourself through the markers in the vineyard. We saw the vines, hiked out to the overlook, and learned about how fruit in the field turns into liquid poetry in your glass.

This is a nice stop on the way to Mt. Hood. The tasting fee is reasonable ($5 for six tastes and refunded if you buy wine) Also you can buy a glass of wine and sit outside and enjoy the view. Very nice people here, too.

We spotted the sign for this winery on our way into Hood River and made a note to visit on our way back. Wow, are we glad we did! Melissa was pouring for us and she was a delight to chat with. The wines were wonderful and we purchased several bottles to take with us. We also had a meat and cheese platter for a light lunch that we recommend as well. This is a place we will visit again and again when in the area!

This was one of the most relaxing and fun weekends I had in a long time. The wines are EXCELLENT, the tasting room so different from the ones of other wineries I have seen. A beautiful setup, and one can purchase appetizers to go with the wines; it was an experience making me believe that I was sitting in the garden of a Tuscan winery. The room we stayed in (Pinot Noir Suite) has an unbelievable view onto Mt. Hood, and the breakfasts were out of this world. I thought that I would have to make a friendly face at least once during the 3-day stay and eat waffles for breakfast. Well, if you like waffles, I'm sure Gail makes you waffles, but we had Eggs Benedict, an omelet and a quiche for breakfast.

We stopped here on our vacation in Oregon. The staff here are friendly and helpful. We did some serious wine tasting and they explained to us about their wines, especially their signature wine, Organic Pear Wine which was the best we ever had. The wine tasting room is quite large and outside there are picnic tables to sit at. No one rushed you, at all. Of course, we purchased some of their awesome wines. We will return next time we are in this area.

This was the first of several wineries we stopped at on the "Fruit Loop" tour and was by the far the best. They offer great deals for sampling, 7 wines for $5 or all 15 for $10 and you get the tasting glass. I was extremely impressed with all their whites, I bought two bottles of their Riesling. Their reds are very impressive, I recommend trying the Zinfandel.

We did more wine tasting here yesterday and had a very pleasant experience! I was surprised at how great the wines tasted here. We did a tasting of 6 wines for $5 for $10 you could taste 15 wines. The Pear Wine is the signature wine here and it was wonderful! We also enjoyed the Organic Pinot Noir and their Chardonnay which has won several gold medals. The tasting room is spacious and rivlas those in the CA wine country. There are picnic tables set up outside and comfy chairs, also. If you serious about your wines, don't miss this place. Plan on spending some extra time here lingering outside and enjoying the ambiance of the Oregon Wine Country. :)

This winery makes the very best Sarah, Tempernil and Reisling Wines in this area or anywhere! The Winery is surrounded by orchards and has great Mountain views. They even make a Pear wine from their own pear orchard. I feel so good about drinking organic wine too.

Wow what a great experience we had at Pheasant Valley Winery this weekend!! It being Memorial weekend and a big wine weekend I was truly impressed, the staff was very friendly, informative, personable and entertaining!! Very attentive to everyone's needs! The wines were very good too!! My favorites were the Pinot Gris and the Pinot Noir both all Organic and Estate grown! They were all fabulous! We were having so much fun we decided to buy a glass of wine and a hot dog and sit outside on the patio! This too was fabulous!! I RECOMMEND THIS WINERY AS A MUST STOP!!

Without a doubt the worst winery we have visited so far.
Bad wines, poor service... There are so many places to stop to in Hood River I would recommend not wasting time at this one.
Seems from some legitimate reviews it used to be a decent place back in the days.
Note that we were told they write their own reviews, so I'm not sure how much you can believe of the positive ones.

Like another reviewer said, we too stopped for the pear wine but were very disappointed. It tasted less like pear, more like rancid fruit and yeast... The rest of the wines were even worse with very high acidity and high in alcohol (probably to mask the taste). Inexperienced wine making maybe?
Unfortunately, our hostess was more interested in re applying her lip gloss than actually serving customers. Too much of a wait, not very informative.
The traffic there must be low because we could tell the wine had been sitting open for a few days/week. We told the server that they tasted a little off but they did not want to open fresh bottles (even for the ones almost gone). It's pretty disappointing to pay for a tasting of wine that's 3 days
old, but that barely wets your pallet.
Definitely wont be back.

My fiance signed up for the wine club 2 years ago and we used to love coming with our friends. Not anymore, for several reasons (wine, staff, etc...). We finally made it for their anniversary party and it was terrible: bad food, bad wines, bad atmosphere. Why bother with cheap entertainment? This place is not what it used to be. Joining the wine club can turn into a nightmare, with ever changing policies and cancellation fees. I noticed that something was mentioned by other users about the view. There are much better places in the Hood River valley to sit, truly enjoy a view of Mount Hood and a decent glass of wine (check Mt Hood Winery). Check Marchesi for great wines and hospitality instead.

After a bit of a meandering road trip, we were delighted to find this winery. We drove south on Tucker Rd. and were awed at the beautiful scenery of the valley.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This was by far the best tasting room we have visited in a long time. The wines were exquisite! Gold Medal Syrah, Organic no sulfite added Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The staff also had someone who spoke French and Italian. Since we are French we were thrilled. They offered some small appetizers and the whole experience was great!
We highly recommend this winery. DO NOT MISS!

Pros: Good wine, great tasting room, nicest staff ever, apetizers

Cons: absolutely none

Great location. Nice tasting room in the middle of orchards. Friendly, comfortable setting. And we keep buying the organic pear wine - for which they grow the pears on site. It's on the Fruit Loop.
