I highly recommend Holly for cuts and Janice for color. I followed this awesome team from their previous salon (salon 191). Holly always gives a perfect cut. She listens attentively and gives you what you want. She knows what cut will

I have been going to this salon for over 10 years and specifically to Roberta for longer than that. She has always been professional and given me nothing but the most stylish haircut, color and blow out EVER! She has done my hair for every major event in my life including my wedding and my wedding party - without flaw! I wouldn't trust my hair to any other stylist! I have visited Roberta's chair many times over the last 10 years and I have seen local TV professionals as well as longtime clients leaving with BIG smiles on their faces. Roberta has a way of making every client become part of her family, she care more than just about your hair - visit Roberta at Millennium, you'll be glad you did!

I have been coming to Millenium since it opened, and while the decor could definitely use an upgrade, the services there are worth ignoring the need for some new paint. I have been going to Roberta for over 25 years! and she has taken me from the young girl out of college look throughout the changing phases of my life, keeping me stylish, current, polished, professional and pretty fabulous despite turning fifty. Roberta has cut, colored, highlighted, kertaned my hair over the years with wonderful results. I am in a very public profession where I am constantly meeting new people. There is never a week that goes by without someone commenting on my gorgeous hair looking great...this is all a compliment to Roberta and her skills over the years. She has kept me looking great from first date, to wedding day, through post baby doldrums and now mid-life. Roberta is a professional who takes her craft seriously and keeps her skills at the top of her profession. She is also one of the smartest and funniest ladies you could ever spen an hour with...

I can't rate this salon, but I can rate the "stylist" ROBERTA. She hacked the right side of my hair off and only left a small area of length. I specifically told her how I wanted it cut . I explained in depth that my hair has been growing out for 1+ years and finally fell into place from a previous bad haircut. I just needed it shaped. My hair now separates, making my hair look below shoulder length on one side and the other side, CHIN LENGTH!!!! I had the owner look at it, and there was nothing he could do, let alone he was speechless. It is not logical that a person with 13 years experience would do this to someone. I find it very serendipity that she ruined the side that I was so concerned about and told her about, that ROBERTA proceeded to hack off layers, to make it worse then it was over a year ago. It went back for my money and my tip. Again, who butchered my hair?....ROBERTA !!!!!!!!! I am sooo angry that I have to start the process over again, let alone, this time it was butchered vs layers growing out.
The staff was very nice

I have been going to Millennium Hair and Day Spa for a few years now. I am not a frequent client but all of my visits have been very consistent and pleasant. The facility is always clean and the front desk employees are very friendly. The place could use a little more lighting, however the place still gives off a very nice calm feeling. I have never had a problem with any of the hairdressers there. They are very friendly and very professional.
As for the manicures, I am not sure what the review below is referring to, because Kim is the exact opposite. She is sweet, quiet and professional. Perhaps, she was not as "high" as you would of liked her to be and might even have taken her quiet personality for "rude". You can ask any employee there, Kim is one of the sweetest. Nail Technicians are not REQUIRED to pick out a color for a "basic" manicure so that seems a little biased. As for the tip issue, it sounds like Kim should return that $3 dollars so you can attend some personality classes yourself. Please be advised, visit this wonderful place and see for yourself. Thank you and enjoy your day

This was my third experience at this spa. The first a few years ago was very nice, because I never take time for myself. I received a very generous gift certificate, and in December, for my birthday had a nice massage (with Brenda) and a manacure that was fine. Everyone at the front desk has always been happy, pleasant and helpful. Today, after 6 weeks of illnesses, I had the most Perfect, Caring, and healing massage and Reflexology treatment from Brenda. She is amazing! Thoughtful, an expert in what she offers and accomplishes. Then for the manicure..Kim..I was scheduled for a basic manicure..$18.00, You were so flat and RUDE.You were of no help on choosing a color, or anything else. I wanted to ask you for a refund, but couldn't, questioned the tip? $1-5?? Gave you $3.00, in the hope that you could put that towards a personality class. Thank goodness, I chose not to let you ruin a really wonderful day!

As a clinet of Millennium Hair and Day Spa for many years, I can wholeheartedly say that I have had the most courteous and professional experiences while visiting the salon. From my first appointment many years ago to my latest visit, I have always felt comfortable and as though I were being welcomed into a friend's home. During my visits to the salon over the past years, the health of my hair has improved enormously and I have always come away from my appointments extremely happy with both the style and color. I faithfully visit the salon monthly and during those times I experience a relaxed, courteous, welcoming, and happy atmosphere while enjoying the utmost professional care and advice. I would highly recommend Millennium Hair and Day Spa to anyone. Upon entering the salon, you will find a welcoming and courteous staff at the front desk, exquisite decor with a comfortable atmosphere, an immaculately clean salon, and the most professional and helpful staff. Thank you Millennium Hair and Day Spa!

I was already nervous about changing hair salons, but after reading some of the terrible reviews, I followed my "gut" and called to cancel. Everyone who criticized the front office staff was absolutely right! After I explained that I was cancelling and would NOT be rescheduling, the girl got very rude and practically hung up on me. I'm glad I didn't go through with the appointment. I knew I was so nervous for a reason!!

Called this Saturday morning for a last minute appointment with the stylist I like. Got it for an hour later. Had to wait 5 minutes--that's it. Great cut! No hassle!
Had read the prior comments before going because I used this site to look up the phone number. I don't see any problem.

I treated myself to a spa day...hair, manicure, massage. The massage was fair, but the rest was horrible. It turned out to be more stressful than relaxing. They ran late - I wasn't offered anything btwn services and my hair looked terrible when I left. I was hoping to show up at my reunion dinner feeling pampered and perfect, but instead I looked exhausted and disheveled. This spa is very dated. The color scheme of dark olive green is anything but tranquil and the services are anything but unique or comforting. There are far better salons to pamper yourself at on the Main Line.

Horrible! I was referred here by a friend who only knew of the place, but had not been. I wish I had done my research or listened to some of these reviews. The spa is old and needs a full makeover, the staff is rude and the clientele is old. It's def. not posh, or Main Line as I had hoped. They had day old pretzels that were hard as a rock out on display. Oh and wait! My color - AWFUL. It's a shade that can only be done by one who has bleach but no skill. I will be returning to Center City to find the perfect shade of blonde!

First and foremost I would like to first say that I could not be any more surprised by some of the comments posted here. I have been an avid Millennium Hair and Day Spa customer for the past three years. Geralyn has always done a fabulous job on my cut and color. I have been so satisfied with the services I have received here that I decided to treat my entire wedding party to the sheer pampering that this place has to offer. To be frank, the girls in my wedding are known to be sticklers with their hair and makeup, and not always the easiest to please. However, everyone was MORE than satisfied and Geralyn made us all look beautiful. Also, being Jewish, I was married on a Sunday. Millennium is conveniently open on Sundays which is absolutely fantastic and so convenient. My experiences here have been nothing short of relaxing and superb. Max is always more than accommodating, as well. I truly believe he puts his heart and soul into his establishment which is reflected through his employers, the overall pristine appearance of the salon, and the quality of work offered here. This salon and spa is a must visit! I am certain you will have an experience similar to mine. Enjoy being pampered from head to toe! :)

They totally ruined my hair. I had a catastrophic meltdown after TINA fried my hair and caused it to fall out in clumps. First off, the salon is filthy not to mention it is as dated as the geriatric crowd who call it home. I was a new color client and expected a consultation before TINA took it upon herself to start slopping on color. Her personality was as dismal as her color job, not offering up a pleasantry or a glass of water. When they washed me out my hair started falling out in mass amounts. Shedding like a sheep dog in the summer! In tears and full blown hysteria, cause my hair was falling out I asked for a manager. She begrudgingly got me the owner, Max who was as useless as breasts on a bull. He went on the defense, somehow blaming me or some other unknown factor that caused my hair to fall out. "Are you taking medication?" he questioned me. Um, are you kidding jacker? I came in here with healthy shiny, well colored hair and now my hair is dropping to the floor like you used Nair on it? On top of the hair loss was the fact that they made my hair F'ing white blonde, like the color of a stripper at a cheesy airport strip club in Reno. I'm a mom....not a $5 hooker, which is what I now look like. I went in there with rich caramel colored blonde hair. I wanted to match that. She utterly fried my hair. It was crispy, crunchy and coming out in clumps. I would have been better to buy Sun-In and do it myself. I guess if you are a stripper and want horrible nasty crunchy hair, then try out Tina!

Do not go to Millennium if you like your hair, expect good service and quality colorists. I ventured to try a new spot and a new colorist - TINA after moving to the PHL suburbs. When I arrived at the salon I waited an ungodly amount of time to be taken back. When I was seated, the colorist, Tina was both unpleasant and unprofessional. You expect, at a quality salon that as a new client the technician would start off by greeting you, asking you questions about your hair, your previous coloring, what you want to achieve this visit. She did none of that. She simply asked, "Half or whole?" (my head is not a sandwich) And that was it for small talk or any talk at all. All I wanted her to do was match my golden colored hair and fix the roots. She slopped on some color and put me under a dryer - which she left on way too long. When I was washed out and brushed, my hair fell in WHITE clumps to the ground. Literally, my hair was rolling away in tumbleweed balls thru the salon. In tears I asked for a paddle brush to comb my own hair. She claimed to not have a paddlebrush. Are you kidding me? This is a hair salon....a paddle brush is a staple. I didn't ask for the Hope diamond, I asked for a F'ing brush. After she made no effort to get her lazy ass up and get me a brush, I asked for a manager while my fried, frizzed hair continued to fall to the floor and I continued to cry hysterically. The owner, Max, went on the defense. "Are you on some sort of medication that makes your hair fall out?" he offered. "This has never happened before, I don't know what to tell you." He was as useful as boobs on a bull! They asked how often I colored my hair and I told them I highlight every 8 weeks and her answer to me: "Well that is way too often. You have ruined your own hair." Really? Really? That inane reply only affirmed my belief that she knew absolutely nothing about coloring. Ask any blonde how often they get their hair touched up....I would defy you to find someone who goes less frequently.

My hair was completely bleached out...white, platinum, stripper colored hair. I am a mom, not a stripper. There were chunks of dark roots underneath that didn't blend, but rather burst to the surface of my thinned out locks and looked horrible. There was no tone, no texture, no low lights - just burned, falling out crispy white blonde hair. I moved from New York City where I had my hair done at the world's finest salons - Rita Hazan, Fekkai and while I have come to expect less outside Manhattan, but this chop shop was akin to a dog groomers. Tina has no clue what she is doing. She was unapologetic, rude and even confrontational. She didn't seek to fix the situation, denied any and all culpability and just rolled her eyes as I was in an obvious panic. The salon refused to accept responsibility for ruining my hair. They continued to argue that this somehow was a problem I arrived with. I arrived with light brown roots....I left with destroyed locks (half of which were swept up off their floor).

Pros: NONE

Cons: Horrible colorist, vile decor, dated, worn and tired salon

I realize there are many excellent reviews for this place, and maybe that's because most of them are reviewing the salon area. My experience was in the spa and my experience was horrendous. First off my massage therapist was at least 20 minutes late taking me back, not once apologizing for running behind. Secondly, by the time she got started with my 90 minute swedish massage it was at least 25-30 minutes past the start time alloted for my appointment. I specifically told her that i didn't want a lot of pressure because my muscles are sensitive and it was painful, and she proceeded to give me pressure like a deep tissue massage. When i complained that it was painful, she apologized and said my muscles were tight, and continued the deep pressure. I complained a number of times and the same thing happened. I was under an enormous amount of stress including dealing with the death of a friend, and instead of just staying quiet and doing my massage considering i told her i needed to just calm down and relax, she asked me about my stressed and made me talk throughout the entire time. When she finally finished, i looked at the clock and since she had run so late to start she had cut my massage short by at least 15-20 minutes. When i complained at the front desk that i wasn't going to pay for a massage time that i didn't get they argued with me, and insisted that the massage therapist said she only cut it short by 5 minutes or less. When i told them that was not the truth, it took a lot of aggravation on my part of getting the manager to finally take $15 off. I walked out of there much more stressed and not at all relaxed, when i was experiencing some of the worst stress of my life.

I myself am a licensed massage therapist and have been in the business 8 years. I have worked at many places and I have had many massages at many places, some good, some bad, but this was by far the worst experience I've had. I would not recommend wasting your time or money on a massage at this place. They are much better as a salon, but as a spa, they have no idea what they are doing, or how to keep their clients relaxed. I will never give them my patronage again.

Pros: Good location, good parking

Cons: Terrible Customer Service

I love my colorist (Monica) and my stylist (Risha). They are truly the genesis of tons of compliments on my hair every year. I've been with both of them for years and can't imagine anyone else taking care of my tresses. Maia is a terrific esthetician -- especially for those of us with really sensitive skin. My only complaint is that the salon doesn't turn away customers who arrive really late for appointments. Unless I'm the first appointment of the day, there's a good chance I'll be waiting 20 minutes beyond my appointment time for a cut. Be VERY clear with the front desk if you don't have time to spare.

This spa is in dire need of a makeover. The interior is dull, and worn out looking. The front desk staff are not very professional or inviting. They seem to preoccupied with their own personal conversations. My esthetician did a great job on my facial, eyebrows, and manicure. During my manicure someone from the front desk placed a post it note on the workspace letting the person know someone was coming in at 3:30 for a manicure. From that point on I felt like the esthetician rushed through the remainder of my manicure and changed her demeanor towards me. I have been to better spas in the US and abroad.

I have to say, Jon Bryan is an amazing person. He made me feel so gorgous. I never had such a wonderful haircut and my color is out of this world. I recommend him to anyone, any hair type and any color. He is awesome! Oh yes and his BlowDry is incredible. My hair never felt so good!

Total relaxation & pampering...from the moment I pulled up to the door...valet parking (complimentary), warm, professional greeting by staff & unbelievable massage & facial. I can't wait to try the hair salon...I've already scheduled my cut & color next week!

Having visited many spas and salons both here and overseas I am disappointed with my experiences at Millennium Hair and Day Spa. The front desk staff are preoccupied and unfriendly, the decor is old fashioned and uninviting. The spa estheticians are excellent but unfortunately the building and reception staff are unavoidable and extremely lacking in professionalism and customer service skills. Do not expect any extra frills for your money here. Very Disappointing.

Finally, I have found an amazing salon/ spa. After traveling all over the city and main line, Millennium is definitely at the top of my list and i will not go anywhere else. After an amazing cut/ color with Geralyn, and a manicure with Sonny, I have already made my next appointment. Although pricey, you truly do get what you pay for. Millennium is a must see!

I just had an amazing hair cut and highlight by Diane. She really took the time to listen and gave me exactly what I wanted. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other services!

When I go to get a massage I want to relax and forget about the outside world. The spa has a very relaxing setting and the massage I had was wonderful. The tech did everything to make me relax but it was hard to drown out the outside noise. The spa is located in a busy shopping mall.

It was my birthday and I decided to spend the morning with the Millennium staff. I am so happy that I started my day off there. From the time you walk in the door to the time that you leave..you will be treated with nothing but royal treatment. From the massage (Johnathan), to a facial, and spa pedicure (Sonny), you feel like a brand new person. If you are looking for a place to call your SPA HOME...look no further Millennium has everything that you need and more. You are guarenteed to love this place and will keep coming back for more. Enjoy!!!

I've been living in Philadelphia for four years and I finally found a wonderful place for nails, etc. After trying salons/spas all over center city, including Toppers, Adolf Bieker and that place at the Bellevue, I am so happy to have found Millenium! Kim gives the best manicure and I am told that Sonny is terrific too!
