I have been going to Burleson for a year now and everything has been quick and easy. The staff has been great to us.
5This place is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! Unless this place is your last resort do not go to Burleson Family Medical Center. I had recently moved to Burleson and therefore chose a Burleson doctor with my insurance company. I read some reviews about Burleson Family Medical Center and the doctor I had chosen and everything seemed to check out and look good. Then I tried to make an appointment for 3 weeks. I left my number and everything. Burleson Family Medical Center never returned a phone call. Then when I got sick I drove up their and the staff told me they did not answer or return my phone calls because they got busy. When I told them I was sick and needed to make an appointment they told me I was a walk in and it would be a hour to a hour and a half. I was a little upset but sick so I decided to stay and wait to be seen. While in the lobby I was talking to a friend telling them this did not seem like a proficient doctors office and read a sign that the staff had typed and posted at the front desk. The sign said (and I am para-phasing), "Please do not you profanity or vulgar language toward the staff they are doing the best they can and do not deserve unkind treatment." Because I was reading the sign to a friend over they phone and telling her this may not be the best ran doctors office and their sign does not instill good faith in me I was called to back office. I lady got rude to me for talking bad about the doctors office in the lobby and asked me to leave. When I told her I was sick and did not have to she said she could make me leave. So I asked that they refund my money and left. I went to Care Now in Burleson and received not only kind but great treatment. I cannot believe a doctors office would turn away a sick patient for reading their lobby signs to a friend and stating opinions formed by reading such signs. I mean if a place has to post a message like that there must have been many occurrences of vulgar and profane language and/or rude behavior from client to their staff in order for them to advertise such a sign. Again WORST DOCTOR"S OFFICE EVER!!!!!!!

Great staff, great Doctors and they run a very clean and well kept office. Overall, they're great.
5There is really nothing more that they can do to improve on their services. Everything is perfect, as always.

Burlseson Family Medical is great. Even though sometimes the wait time isn't as quick as I would want, it is WELL worth it!

The PA's are amazing and everyone gives you really good service. I heard about them from a friend and I am glad I decided to come here!
5I've been a patient here for 10 years. The staff is caring and the staff is friendly and I love Dr. Nelon. Thanks everyone at Burleson!

Nurse Vanessa was so friendly and helpful. I have always received excellent care on all my visits!
5Thank you for always giving me help with everything. They are friendly, understanding, and explain everything in a helpful manner.

The biggest reason I continue to return to Burleson Medical Center and Dr. Thomas is my comfort level. I know the staff and like them and that makes it easy to come back.
5Can't thank everyone here enough for the wonderful care. I've bne here personally and my daughter has and everyone is friendly, compassionate and competent.
5Love the friendly staff and the wonderful doctors. I always notice how they're getting new equipment so everything is up to date here.

Extremely low wait times. That's my favorite part of coming here. I barely even get a chance to pick up a magazine and read one pages and they're calling my name.
5Everyone here is very professional. They make you feel like part of a family. The doctors are knowledgeable, nice and answer every question patiently.
5Sometimes I get confused by the billing and my insurance, but they're always there to help me and they are friendly in doing so.

I really like this practice. I'm comfortable there and my doctor really takes the time to explain everything to me. He doesn't rush me just so he can go to another patient.
5The check in/out process is what I like the best. I rarely ever have to wait, and if I do, it's very brief.

I had gone before and really didn't like doctor before hand, he had misdiagnosed something pretty simple to spot, not going to go into detail as to remain anonymous but let's just say if a patient walks into a doctor's office and says "Dr, I believe I have this because of of the symptoms I've been having and because of this animal that bite me," then common sense would dictate the doctor would take into consideration what the patient says and study that first. No, I guess he felt like because he held the position he knew best. He was wrong. But anyway I went back recently and again was treated rudely and really just uncalled for. Please another not to Doctor's out there, If a patient comes in and you find out that they deal with severe depression as well as other issues, don't not tell them and I quote "You 30 minutes of my time when I could have been helping other patients," over miscommunication on how much a treatment was going to cost after the work was getting done, and the 30 minutes she was referring to was not arguing, it was the whole visit in general. Thank you but I will never EVER go back to this place as customer service is as good as a high school bully. Save your money, time, and what's left of your good mood to go anyplace else.

Extremely long waits, impersonal and rude staff. Other than seeing patients without an appointment this clinic is lackluster.
1They are terrible and I will ever go there again. They performed tests that were not needed and are very slow to approve prescription refills. I could also hear them shouting my results and talking loudly for everyone to here all my information. very unprofessional. I highly recommend no one uses them.

Being new to Burleson we didn't know who to choose for our family doctor. My brother-in-law suggested BFMC. These doctors and PA's knew what they were doing! They saved my husband's life. No matter what doctor you go to, you always have to wait. They have a good system down and it works well. Would not go anywhere else! We feel very safe with them.

Waits in a walk in doctor's office are to be expected. At BFMC you might have to wait 10 min to 2 hours, but the flexibility to leave your cell number an leave knowing that you will not be forgotten is a wonderful thing. The doctors and staff are wonderful an go out of there way to help. The level of service and the experience of the staff and doctors are very high. Also do not forget the P.A.'s that work there.Wonderful place, wonderful staff, and maybe not fast but very reliable service!

I decided to try BFMC because I was feeling so awful, and didn't want to wait for an appointment with my normal doctor (whom I'd not seen in two years anyway). I got there before the clinic officially opened and still waited an hour and a half to be seen. The nursing staff was great, but the doctor I saw was a self-absorbed know-it-all who didn't listen to a word I said. She diagnosed a 104.8 degree fever, nasty cough, low blood sugar, and low blood pressure as an anxiety attack. Because my white blood cell counts appeared to be normal. She told me she would prescribe me a mild antibiotic, something "over the counter" (direct quote), and then actually prescribed Levaquin.

I'm new to town. My daughter became sick so I called BFMC. They said to bring here over, no appointment needed. Sounded good, but wasn't.
We arrived, filled out the normal paperwork (including a form saying we may not be seen by an actual doctor) and waited 35 minutes. They called our name to come back, but it wasn't to see the Dr, it was just to collect our co-pay. I asked how long of a wait it would be, and was told an hour and a half. So we left, and didn't come back.
I probably would have come back if anyone seemed friendly, or at least smiled at us. No one seemed happy to work there. I would equate it going to the public health department.

I have been using Burleson Family Medical Center since 1999. Dr. Nelon and Dr. Thomas are compassionate and quite personable. Frequently, they have given me free samples for my prescriptions and coupons for discounted prescriptions, as well. They also provide referrals for specialists, and I have never been disappointed. Further, you can receive medical attention without an appointment. Instead of waiting, you can request a beeper and run errands until your appointment. After the beeper beeps, you have 15 minutes to contact or get to the clinic. They have weekend and evening hours.

This medical clinic has good personnel that
are willing to listen to the patient. They are
conviently located and the wait is usually not
to long. They accept a variety of insurance.
