Great, New York style pizza with no frills. Everything is fresh, the crust is just right and the variety of toppings will cover anyone.

Best pizza in downtown Houston. Any kind of pizza by the slice or the whole pie. Pasta is also good.

Franks is a great place downtown to catch a slice or hit up before walking to the Astros game. Friendly staff, good pizza, walking distance downtown and they deliver to office downtown. (My office orders from here and sometimes we take the light rail and just order a slice).

I've had pizza all of the Houston area and have found the best here. Whenever I have friends come into town I take them straight to Franks. Really my only complaint is the parking. But what do you expect when the place is downtown.

Pros: Good service, great pizza

My husband and I are downtown residents and this is our go-to place for pizza. It is always delicious and the delivery is super reliable. We are both picky when it comes to pizza and tend to disagree on which places have a better slice, but we are unanimous in our love for Frank's. It is a true downtown treasure!

Pros: mouth-watering, decedant pizza; quick delivery

Cons: none so far...

I love Frank's. Fortunately, it's a long walk, or I'd eat there every day and weigh 800 pounds. Ideally I'd like a thinner NY style pizza, but Frank's is about just right to be filling after a lots of walking downtown, on just one slice and a Lone Star longneck...what more could I want! No waiting usually, just grab a slice and go. Sit down with a beer...there's an upstairs area if the bottom is full, or just fold a slice and be on your way down the sidewalk! That's what eatin' pizza is all about for me! :)

Cons: No easy parking if you're driving and want to grab a slice.

every time i go out for a night out with the girls to downtown houston we HAVE to make a stop at Frank's pizza before we go home or to an after party! The service is amazing, the atmosphere is great, the people are friendly, and most of all, THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS AND SATISFING! I live for friday nights at Frank's at around 2 am! Best pizza in Houston! Try the amazing pizza rolls as well! the pizza is soft and hot. Eat Frank's, be happy!

We tried a large pizza with sausage, mushrooms and peppers. Although the service was very nice and friendly, we unfortunately have to say that the pizza really left something to be desired. It really didn't taste any better than a pizza at one of the national chains, which is too bad because Franks is in such a great downtown location and again, the guys were very nice. Now, in all fairness, my pizza standards are high -- I'm an Italian-American from Boston. NY style pizza should be extremely thin and the crust nice and crunchy on the outside, and this really wasn't. It wasn't the worst pizza I've ever had, but it wasn't very good either.

As an Italian American from the East Coast living in Houston, I have to say Frank's is by far the best Pizza by the Slice in Town Period. The Pizza is a Mid-Atlantic thin crust style which is large in surface area and foldable. While the Pizza is not from the old country, it is amongst the best in this part of the new country. The Pizza sauce is a peppery sweet sauce, the cheese is a less filling but works well with the sauce, the forms of proschiuto and vegetables are fresh and natural unlike their frozen canned equivolents found at Dominoes or any other disgraceful chain pizzeria. The place also serves subs, sides, beer, soda, and dessert and is great to go to open until 3 AM on the weekends.

We eat Frank's at my office when we work on the weekends. Not a gourmet pizza, but the pizzas are huge and still tasty. Perfect for large groups and sporting events (or weekend work)!

I love this place! Friendly staff and great pizza. It's nothing fancy, but just the way I like it: not too much sauce, the crust is not too thin or too thick - it's just right, and the top of the pizza gets just crispy enough, but not burned. Reminds me of a pizza joint that you'd find in NY or Philly - you can order by the slice. Some people are under the impression that Frank's is only for late night, drunk food - and while it is open late on the weekends, we go there anytime for pizza. I definitely recommend this place - anyone I've taken here loves it!

Pros: great service, great pizza, open late on weekends, fun ambiance

Cons: parking (but it's downtown); dining area is not the fanciest, but clean; small delivery area (the guys are on bikes)

.

My favorite about this place is the pizza rolls. I love the movie posters of bad movies on the wall- it's great! A great place to hang out, grab a slice and a Lone Star and watch the game or chit chat with friends.

This place is just great. Not much I can say that everyone else here hasn't said. If you want good pizza, and a nice atmosphere, go to Frank's. Best in Houston without a question.

Went for some pizza before an event at the Toy Box. Customer service was great, price was easy on the budget, and the pizza was fantastic. Great place for a date, families, or when your near by and are in the mood for pizza. Would be going back more often if it was closer.

Best thing is it stays open late; so it's good late-night Pizza. Esp. if you've been drinking down the street at Warren's.
I wouldn't say the Pizza is "best I ever had" or "not as good as on Mulberry St. ..."; it's good for what it is; a little less pretentious than most other food establishments around downtown, and obviously WAY less $$$.
Could do with a better 'Bar' selection; then it'd be 'funky'. But then it'd become pretentious and ...

This is one on my favorite lunch time treats. But watch out for attack of the old pizza! It is ok when they throw it back in the oven, but most of the time it is fresh out of the oven. I treat myself about twice every week!

Pros: Yummy Pizza, Good Prices, Friendly Staff

.

The New York attitude is clearly present in this Houston-friendly pizza joint. You push your way to the bathroom and your personal bubble is invaded by the hundred or so people squeezing themselves to the back of the line down that narrow dining room. But that's how Frank's is supposed to be. And the pizza is top notch. No slice in Houston compares to Frank's.

Pros: open til 3am weekends, always hot & fresh, atomsphere

Cons: drunks, haha

.

I had a large Pizza delivered during my recent trip to Houston. Like so many other pizza places that claim to be "New York style pizzerias" Franks was good but not nearly close enough to the real thing. The pizza lacked enough sauce and the edges of the crust where too thin and tasted too much like flour. Franks was good I was just hoping for better.
