I love this place and have gone here 3 times in the last few months. It has great appeal and is very inviting. The art side of this cafe makes it feel cozy unlike chain resteraunts.

Show off this quaint spot when you're entertaining out-of-town guests. Fabulous food, remarkable desserts, and great bakery treats to take home for tomorrow!

Kathleen's is one thing that's rare in Dallas: it's NOT a chain. But it IS consistent: each time you visit, you know you're going to get excellent food, interesting combinations, and a list of favorites on the menu. My husband and I eat here all the time, and it's also one of my favorite places to take out-of-town guests.
The atmosphere is funky and casual, with great rotating art displays on the walls. Consider coming by after a movie late at night to try one of the fabulous desserts-- they're not exactly non fat, but that's the best part!
Fabulous entrees and outstanding salads (try the Wedge salad with bleu cheese dressing and candied pecans)!
Highly, highly recommended.
Also not too expensive; they often run coupons in the "diners' guide" and other advertising services.

PROS: I could eat here every week
CONS: none

I recommend the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream dessert. This is to die for. It comes out piping hot. If I drank coffee -- I would do it here -- very charming!

If you're looking for a little neighborhood bistro to go after the show for a late-night dessert, this is it. The art is always worthwhile & changes often. The ambience is relaxed and intimate, and the food is excellent. Try the eggplant pizza or asiago-encrusted trout, or just the tiramisu. The best part? Entrees are half-price on Sunday nights, so bring a friend. Service is wonderful.

PROS: colorful, intimate atmosphere, excellent eclectic cuisine, DESSERTS
CONS: can be a bit noisy at times
