WORST customer service EVER! Filed a claim on the 5 year warranty we bought when we bought our furniture in 2011. August 4, 2014, we filed a claim. It is 10/18/14 and it's still not fixed. Our mechanism broke on our recliner. Have made

At Freed's we try to please each and every customer. However, it is not always easy to solve problems arising from consumers who are unhappy with products that were special ordered. These orders are custom orders, and cannot be canceled or returned, unless there is a factory defect. This policy is printed on every invoice as well as being posted in our cashier's office. If we allowed customers to place special orders, and then return them once they were produced, we could have a showroom full of one-of-a-kind items that we never would have bought. Most retailers simply are not able have such a liberal policy. Although this consumer states that this issue was escalated to Mr. Freed, I certainly would not have handled this situation in the manner described above. I have no idea who this consumer is, and I am very much appreciative for him or her choosing to furnish your home with us. I would never have refused to allow you to return a $200 item you were unhappy with, especially if there was a misprint in the catalog about the size of the item. I am very sorry this situation was not handled as it should have been, and I would be willing to take this item back for a full refund if this consumer should choose to contact me. We bought sofa and ottoman from Freed's furniture. I will NEVER shop with them again.
My wife didn't like the color that they had on the showroom floor so the salesman, Gabriel sold her a special order fabric. The couch took two weeks longer than Gabriel said it would. And we had to call them to keep checking on when it would be ready (You would expect they would call us).
When the couch came in, the fabric was like burlap. It was scratchy and nearly impossible to sit on. We waited a few days hoping it would soften...it didn't. We called Gabriel at Freed's who said he would asked his Manager what they could do. Days go by with no response so my wife called back only to have Gabriel say his Manager couldn't do anything.
Any reputable place would have worked with us to get the problem fixed. But Freeds seems to just want the money.....once they have that, they feel no need to give good service. I encourage you to find another place to

Freed's furniture has a large selection and is reasonably priced. Be careful to inspect your furniture once it has been delivered. We purchased a bunk bed for our son and when it was delivered it had a large hole that looked like someone kicked it in. After a week of haggling with the manager, we finally resolved the issue, but will never shop there again.

We recently purchased over $10,000 of furniture from this company. After shopping around the Dallas area, we chose Freeds because of their local manufacturing, quick delivery, and value for the money. We ended up furnishing 3 bedrooms and bought a dozen pieces. Our sales person was very nice and he was quick to respond to us when we had questions.\r\n\r\nWe had one major issue with our furniture. We ordered some pieces from another distributor (a.k.a. - a ""special order""). Special order furniture is not displayed on the floor, you have to take your best guess on fit, look, and quality (you are only shown pictures in a catalog). Since we had taken measurements prior to shopping, we looked up the measurements of the furniture piece in the distributor's catalog and confirmed that it would fit our needs. Our sales person also reassured us that it would fit.\r\n\r\nWhen the piece was delivered, we discovered that the measurement in the catalog was incorrect, and it did not fit. We then called our sales person, expecting to be able to return it. We were dismayed to find that under no circumstances would they allow a ""special order"" return. We escalated our issue to Mr. Freed and were told that a return was impossible. We explained that we had 3 more rooms to furnish and would be willing to exchange the item and purchase more furniture from them, if only they would take back this $200 item. However, they refused to work with us. Our sales person even stopped returning our phone calls. We furnished the rest of our house with another furniture vendor and will not look back.\r\n\r\nThe Freeds furniture is beautiful, and we are pretty satisfied with our purchases and the quality of the delivery service. Each piece was hand-delivered and assembled in our house. For those of you wishing to move forward with Freeds - just be cautious. Always remember to take measurements before you shop, and under NO circumstances should you place a ""special order"". You will not be able to return it!

This place is huge with tons of items to look at. We have brought a living room couch set and a dinning and china cabinet from the store. Both have held up and were good buys and reasonably priced. The best time to go we have decided is when they have the tent sales, you find some fantastic bargains.

When my husband and I were looking for furniture, we went inside where there were about 8 salespeople in the foyer. Not one was interested in talking to us or greeting us. We showed ourselves around-big place and a little overwhelming when you're doing the self-tour. We bought our living room set at Haverty's.
