The third concept in the Goode family line of restaurants, the Taqueria has a wide variety on the menu. The chicken fajitas are tender and well marinated, the burgers (several different sizes) are nicely seasoned. Multiple options enchilada types although the best dish is the grilled, marinated pork chop. Served with refried beans, rice and tortillas, it's a must try dish. French fries are crispy and the onion rings are thick cut and battered. Atmosphere is casual and kid friendly, parking can be tough as the lot is small. Weekend brunch menu has some great tex-mex dishes and killer waffles but is only served 7:30am - 12:30pm Sat/Sun.

We love coming to Goode Taqueria. Awesome mesquite burgers and chicken. Super huge tasty salad too. Thick shakes and the famous Goode pecan pie are all offered here. For something different, try the quail. Have tried the mexican dishes here are several occasions and it has been hit or miss.

I got a 1/3 lb burger with cheddar cheese and dressed it with a little mayo, a little mustard, shredded lettuce, and diced onions. The meat was cooked well done, it was completely dry and over-seasoned. The fries though were nicely seasoned and greasy, they were very good. The onion rings were a bit like an unsweeted donut and the batter couldn't stick to the ring.

Pros: French Fries
Cons: Meat
I was most impressed with breakfast. Large portions, well seasoned, fairly quick delivery of orders. I had the American breakfast- 2 eggs/hashbrowns/bacon/ biscuit. I didn't eat, but looked at with envy, the steak and eggs combo. That looked amazing. The pecan walfes also caught my attention. Thing it over, this Goode company restaurant is probably undervalued. It's not as busy as some of its sister chains, yet the food is always good. It's not really a date place/but a good place to catch up with old friends.

Pros: low key/good food
Cons: parking- on the weekend can be a pain.
There's a lot of restaurants that claim to have the best burger in Texas, but this one actually does. Simple yet amazing. Their Mexican food is also pretty good.

Pros: Burgers
I only go there for brunch during the weekends and usually order the fajita & eggs with a side of chips and salsa. It is different than most Mexican or Tex-Mex places, but a good different. It does get crowded there at brunch and you'll have to wait in line but the service is fast and the place is big enough to seat the large crowd.

This is by-far...the best breakfast in Houston. You cant go wrong with the wonderful waffles or my favorite, the huevos con napalitos. Also, be sure to try the cinnamon-chocolate shakes, they are out of this world. Their burgers are also amazing. 2 words-- Mesquite-cooked

Pros: crowded (yes, good)
Cons: parking, pricey
Excellent beef fajitas, mesquite burgers, and enchiladas.
The breakfast ribeye steak is great....order it a la carte (it's cheaper).
Large assortment of beer and other beverages.
However, they are stingy with the tortillas and you shouldn't have to pay for chips & salsa.
Can be expensive for families.

Pros: Good quality, Great fajitas, Great burgers
Cons: Sometimes crowded, Pricey for families
I have only eaten the mesquite burgers and they are great. We live in louisiana and eat there everytime we get to houston. about 15 times a year and we will eat there both days of the weekend we are in Houston. I have sent several of my friends from La to eat there and now it is there favorite place in Houston also. The only complaint I have is the price for a family of 4 is very high for burgers.

Although yes it is very crowded usually(what good place to eat isn't?), I say you have to try Goode Co. The waffles are remarkable. A hint of cinnamon and pecans take these things to a new level. There are several different type of egg & meat plates.

Every time I have come here (3 times) I have had to wait in a long line to order, and the food has been achingly slow in being ready. And, really, it's only average. Plus it's pricey.

I think what you pick for breakfast here is important. The Hunter's special with jalepeno jenison sausage, Texas Toast and 'spepcial' country fried potatoes is the best breakfast I've eaten in Houston. On the other hand, my wife was not impressed with the Migas.

A Goode Co. breakfast is the best in Houston. I've been going there for over ten years. Excellent Mexican style breakfasts.

Being familiar with authentic mexican and good tex-mex I was disappointed with this eatery. While, I would recommend and have frequented Goode Co. Bar-B-Q, I have never returned for the not so Goode Mexican food

Pros: Ambience
Cons: Crowded area of town, Food
The breakfast was awful. A large group went on Sunday Morning. We waited forever. Tables were full. Food was marginal at best. However, lunch and dinner are good.

We have been frequenting Goode Company for many, many years for breakfast and have never been disappointed. There is a slight frustration when you acquire a taste for a certain dish and do not wish to try anthing else. Maybe I sure come more often to relieve this feeling. The dish I am speaking of is the Huevas Motolenus (spelling?).
I do get a little agitated when the queso and chips is not ready in the morning. Keep serving the finest breakfast in Houston!

Pros: great food, INEXPENSIVE, outdoor patio
Cons: not romantic, none, none
I love the selection of mexican breakfasts - its a great place to take out-of-towners for truly authentic recipes. If you get the pecan waffles and a large orange juice - it can feed two people (learned that the hard way after our first visit)!

The mexican-style breakfast is the best there is. It's the closest you can get to a home-cooked meal.
Everything that requires cooking is cooked over a hickory wood-burning stove and grill. That's why the food tastes so great!
My personal favorite is the "Juevos con Chorizo with Rice and Corn Tortillas."
You must check it out!
