    Ive been reading the previous reviews, good & bad & couldnt wait 1 more minute 2 share my VERY true, VERY sickening situation that Im PRESENTLY handling with Sonic. Im a MANAGER of a store in Texas (I will leave the city nameless because of even MORE retaliation) & as a mngr Ive had my GM throw things at me, cuss at me on a daily basis, even as of yesterday smacks my hand away from a computer while taking an order because it wasnt the computer she wanted me 2 use Recently I witnesses drug dealing/interaction goin on through the car stalls & even the drive thru Its only a few "code words" u need 2 get what u want (drugs) With all this being said Im a single mother of 3 tryin so hard to find another job also realizing quitting before finding another would b MORE THAN irresponsible. Im lost, disgusted,even fearful everyday that I work & its become to the point where all this has made me PHYSICALLY SICK when I know I have to work. Ive contacted the EEOC, was even directed to the Attny Gen's office so Im not givin up hope yet. Please if u are a car hop, crew member, cook or mngr that are havin even HALF of these problems DONT WAIT ANYMORE LIKE I HAVE. Stand up 4 your rights make the calls u need 2 & get the treatment u deserve. NO 1 DESERVES THIS! NO 1! As soon as I know the outcome of my situation I will be back to share the remainder of my story. Thanks for the time you have to read this.

    Today I purchased a jr. burger and onion rings.
    The girl who took my order was rude and loud.
    I asked for extra ketchup and their idea of extra ketchup
    was 5 tiny packets for a large order of onion rings.
    The kicker was the pickle they gave me on the jr. burger.
    It was a little sliver of the butt of the pickle with
    part of the stem still attached.
    I have frequented this location for several years
    but their service has gone down hill drastically over the last six months.
    It's painfully aware they care nothing about serving their repeat
    customers with any respect or a quality product.
    They have lost a customer who spent $1000.00 a year with the at
    this location.

    Do yourself a favor and find a more honest and reputable
    Sonic.

    I called that Sonic Chase Oaks, Plano TX branch that morning, around 11:09 am, (Aug. 15,2010) to ask if they found the ball my daughter left a week ago & the man who answered the phone,immediately told me there is none, when in the first place,he had not searched for it yet in their "lost & found" items. It was really frustrating for me since the bag that contains the ball is a very important & memorable thing for my daughter (the ball can be bought anywhere anyway). I wasn't really contented that we went there that afternoon to inquire personally if they had kept the ball for us. And alas! we had our luck! a kind & polite crew helped us out of our inquiry and the basketball came out so with that most precious string bag. We salute that very efficient crew who knows the bounds of his responsibility toward his customers. That guy who told me point blank that there is no ball must be given more training & lecture on how to treat customers honestly whether inquired personally or by phone. It's so sad to think that the "delicious foods reputation" of Sonic must be stained by that not so "truthful & inconsiderate" crew. I hope what he did would not come back to him in the future. I hope too that the manager of this branch would give his or her utmost attention on this matter. As what is highly appreciated, "honesty, is the best policy".

    Well i work at a sonic in northern Missouri. And before that, my family and i had stopped to eat there when we were on the go. Their food is just like every other fast food place health-wise, but we have it all. Tots, rings, ice cream, specialty drinks. And to the people who posted reviews up there ^... our sonic is great! We have an awesome manager who never lets any of the managers cuss out employees. Our managers even make us watch our language. One time, however, a CUSTOMER decided she was going to cuss out a carhop. It's not always sonic, sometimes it's the customers. I'm not saying the sonics mentioned above don't have awful management or anything, but i did notice that all of the bad drive ins were in the south. so much for southern hospitality. ha.

We questioned the tall young black man about an item, and he refused to give us his name! When asked for his name, this young man yanks off his name tag so he cannot be identified. He said it was no sweat, and wouldn't hurt him if we reported it to their corporate office! Do not eat there! WARNING!

    I was looking for a number to upper management or owner when I found this site. Shocked but not surprised, I read the last parent comments.
    My daughter was "let go" May 11, 2008, after being cussed out by same "crew manager" and was not told she was taken off the schedule. I went to speak with the crew mgr on mothers day, 5/12/08. She denied cursing then admitted when I said there were witnesses. My daughter was only working a couple of times a week due to school. She had someone covering her schedule so she could attend her little brother's birthday party. The person did not show and she used her cell phone to call and ask if they were still covering. The said "crew leader" cursed her out for being on the phone. My daughter explained why and mgr said "if you don't want to work, get the hell out of here." My daughter left as I told her she did not have to stay around when this mgr started cussing.
    I asked if she told my daughter she was no longer employed and she said no. She said she "ran it by the other mgr" and was approved. How cowardly!! By the way. The "other manager" is known to talk openly about her sex life. The kids are grossed out but they can't say anything in fear of repercussion.

    Would LOVE to hear from mgmt about my daugther returning to work at a different location?? 214-478-3953

    untill about 2 weeks ago my minor child was employed at a loction in Plano Texas.This location is owned by dennis clark.There is an employee at this location in management "she is a crew leader" she believes it is ok as she sees this behavior from her manager to yell ,scream,and cuss at the associates under her. When my son informed me of this behavior I approached the ast manager and asked him to please inform the crew leader in question this behavior was not acceptable.The result the behavior grew worse. Since the store manager was on vcacation we contacted the dm. We had a meeting with the dm who informed us the crew leader addmitted her behavior and was told that behavior was not to continue.The next day my son was written up twice for things that 2 weeks before by the very crew leader he complained about.When the manager returned he was fired. I have tried on numerous occasions to speak with someone higher up the chain but Dennis Clark refuses to return my call.But wait it gets better.I went to pick up my sons check .When the manager handed me the check asked her to please let her crew leader know that coming to my job and telling lies about me to managment would not do her any good and to please ask her to stop "she was there in sonic uniform" The manager "I have no controll over her".I informen her I would be filing complaints against her,the crew leader and sonic corp with the eeoc and the labor board.As i walked to my car "by the way i have this recorded" she turned to an elderly couple and said"I fireedf her son he had 3 write ups when I got back what was I supposed to do?" she had no right to tell anyone about that. And by thew way the crew leader who yells screams and cusses and admitts her behavior to the dm still has a job. So beware people this is how sonic drive in treats its employees.

    One consistent thing I have found this Sonic is the car hops are quicker than drive thru. I watch my orders being place before someone parked and they always seem to get there food first. The quality is always good, so not too many complaints.

    Complete with old fashioned car hops on roller skates, Sonic is a fun fast food restaurant and you don't even have to get out of your car. The menu has such yummy items such as Sonic Burgers, and Fried cheese sticks. Their slushees are the best in town and are HUGE for a really good price. Sonic is a fun place and the food is very tasty. A very good deal and worth trying.
