This is a great place to visit more than once. They have neat exhibits and most kids love the dinosaur dig. It is fun to see how large dinosaurs were and learn about the earth so long ago. This is a great place to take a daycare or class trip.

Hands on Museum, you could spend all day or two or three. Don't miss the Omni theater too. Fabulous for children of all ages. Your kids wont want to leave and they might accidentally learn a thing or two! Dig for dinosaur bones if it's pretty outside!

The Fort Worth museum of science and history has tons of hands on demonstrations for physics and chemistry, with lesser quality displays for anatomy and history. They are best suited for elementary school students, though later pre-schoolers will enjoy it though they'll need help with the hands-on portions.

PROS: teaching experiences
CONS: price

We recently took our son to the museum and were really impressed with their hands on children's area. Our son had a great time playing and learning how things work. It was such a great environment. The various exhibits around the museum were also nicely done and very interesting. Our entire family really enjoyed our visit to the museum!

This is a neat place to learn about dinosaurs and more. They have a dinosaur dig that my kids just love. Plus you get a nice tour and it is fun and educational. This is a great place to take a class for a field trip or just a small family group.

This museum is one of the very best.
Children learn so much there as they
can actively participate in things. I
think there is something for everyone
from toddlers to adults.

I have visited this Museum many times over the last 20 years. It never ceases to amaze me at how well they reinvent themselves year after year!

Although some of my favorite exibits have long since been replaced, the new ones are just as fantastic. The kids will especially like digging for Dino Bones in the "excavation" site!

A must-do is pay the extra to see a show at the Omni Imax! It is an amazing experience that puts you right into the show.

PROS: Exhibits to interest all ages!

This is a place every school visits for a field trip, but you need to return and spend more time. The kids love it and it is so hard to see everything when you are on a field trip. They have plenty of different items on display for the whole family to enjoy.

This is the best museum in Fort Worth; I have no children, but have taken younger siblings and cousins to the hands on exhibits. The staff is very friendly and helpful- always ready to answer questions for the kids. The IMAX theatre is fantastic and we try to catch as many shows here as we can from sea life to rock climbing...it's absolutely amazing in there. **One note, small children often get scared in the theatre because it is very overwhelming. Plenty of parking, great location and good ticket prices.

PROS: Hands on fun, IMAX.

Despite it's age this is truly one of the best Children's Museums in the country in my opinion. The theater offers tons of super cool movies on a regular basis. Being members has awesome benefits for new releases and such. Spurge and get the extended pass and see a movie EVERY time for free. Hands on kids area is simply amazing. Museum School is VERY hard to get into. Staff is VERY well educated and super nice. Great way to spend some hot Texas Summer days in the cool AC.

Great hands on exhibits that change along with ongoing exhibits. They have good season passes. Parking is good. Food is way overpriced and not very good. Bring your lunch and enjoy the dining area.

I went on a field trip with my son's school to this museum and it was incredible. These 1st graders never got bored and did not want to leave when the time was over. The museum has many experiments that the children can do, areas where they can just play and have fun, so much to learn. They can even "dig" for dinosaur bones. We have thought about getting season passes as I think my son could find new things to do on several visits.
