I only go to this place b/c it is so close to where I am, less than 5 minutes away. They are extremely picky and turn down plenty of items that are perfectly suitable for a consignment store. One time, I walked in with a small bag of toys. I asked if they took those foam bath toys. The tall blonde lady (is she the owner/manager) said, "no" and then said, "I doubt we can take any of the others" before she even looked at the other toys in the bag! There were small infant toys, electronic phone, stacked rings. They wouldn't take a simple plastic giraffe rocker b/c it had slight discoloration from when my daughter stamped it (very faint by the way). I took all those toys today to Kid to Kid Plano and they took them all. Very picky and snobby attitude at this store.
And as I was looking through the girls 2T section, I am just shocked at the crappy items they DID accept. A Children's Place basic tee for $3.25 (when it costs that much on sale at the store!) and Target velour tracksuit in poor condition for $7, when it was only $10 brand new on sale at the store.

I visited this store today for the first time and was EXTREMELY disappointed. I was there for two reasons, to buy and to sell.

I'll start with the selling first, because that was my initial impression. I brought a bag of designer boy (size 8) clothes in, and had only one bag. The person who "helped" me took my bag, which was fine, she seemed friendly at first, until she said "most people bring in more stuff"... which I thought was odd, but I thought nothing of it at the time. She gave me a time of about twenty minutes and I browsed around a bit.

I looked around, hoping to find some nice clothes that fit because my son grows like a weed and needed some more clothes. HUGE disappointment here. I found some jeans hanging on the rack that had a grass stain on them, and just some generally low quality brands, and I had hoped otherwise.
Keep in mind, I did check out their website first, and appropriately I brought in a bag of very clean almost new clothes, my son's true religion jeans, joes jeans, abercrombie, polo ralph lauren, ecko, Nordstrom dress shirts etc. and due to their website, I had the impression that there would be some nicer stuff there. Not that there's anything wrong with levis or gap jeans, but those were the ones with the grass stain on the knee. I mean, the clothes in my son's size were things I could probably find similar items at Walmart or Target. Somehow the words I had read from their website, "Highest quality Standard" didn't quite match what I saw in the store. How unfortunate.

I spent about two minutes browsing before the store employee told me she was ready. I went up to the counter expecting that they'd buy something, since all the clothes were in great shape, no stains, very clean and designer duds, and basically I was not told a reason why, but she only wanted to buy one pair of polo pants and two dress shirts and a Nike shirt, for $2.80. You get more for taking the store credit so I did look around some more, but was still very disappointed. And then the smile abruptly left the store employee's face when I didn't bring anything to purchase to the counter. I took my two dollars and left with pretty much a full bag, and no "new" clothes for my son. I ended up going to the mall for my son's new clothes, and still have to figure out what to do with the clothes I brought with me.

All in all, a very bad experience here. The employee was kinda short, which I would give the benefit of the doubt, but I won't be going back in this store. They didn't have anything I was looking for, in my son's size, which they DID carry, though, the prices were high, the brands were low quality and didn't match the pricing, and unsatisfactory. No shoes either, although it seemed here that there was quite a bit more in the girls section than the boys. I was really quite surprised considering the profit they probably could have made on some of my things, but now I have to plop them on ebay or craigslist.
This was the first time I'd ever been to a "resell shop" and due to this experience, I probably will not bother going to any others, either, due to my experience at this store, in FRISCO, no less, which is also unfortunate, because it didn't really seem worth my time, and I'd suggest not wasting yours, either. Definitely disappointing, not to mention the fact that I felt, based on the employee's comment about only bringing one bag, that I somehow should have MORE clothes for them to turn down. Unnecessary and unpleasant.

I have always liked Cutie Patootie but have been disappointed and left with nothing my last two visits. I would think if it's almost May that they would have short sleeves and shorts. There were a few but mostly jeans and sweaters and such. Employees I asked about it didn't seem to care and said they can't control what people bring in. While I was there today people trying to sell were being turned down for what looked like nice items. Maybe something has changed in the last few months because they used to have a better selection.

I just had my 1st experience there and I gotta say it had a bitter taste. When I first went there to check the shop out, they made sure they told me they were "very picky" with what they bought used, and it was with this specific mood that I selected what to take (or not) to the store. I only took things that were perfect or brand new (as in: never used before). They didn't want many of my 0-3 months clothes (the items were impecable so I assume they didn't need much of it). The woman (who looked like the owner, to me) told me it'd take one hour. Since I could wait, I started shopping for stuff I'd pay for with whatever they paid ME (I knew they give 20% extra if you choose store credit instead of check). One hour passed and they weren't done (fair enough, no problem), so I took the things I had chosen for my baby, went to the same woman and asked her to keep those things for me, for TWENTY MINUTES, cause I had to drive my son to his tutoring class ACROSS THE STREET, and she (almost interrupting me while I explained) said to me in a rather loud tone "we don't hold items, no, I can't keep it". I was like...oh...ok... (and I thought "gee, I have to come back for my money anyways, it's not like I'm asking her to keep it forever! Or for a day! Or for an hour!) - she was just plain RUDE. Then I just PAID for my items (shouldn't have!) and thought "whatever, I'll come back for the money later", and walked to my car... WHEN THE PHONE RANG. It was THEM, saying they were done and I could get either a check or store credit. REALLY? NOW, that I have just paid for everything? "Oh, if I KNEW it was YOU, I'd have told you to wait JUST a minute cause I was done..." - YEAH RIGHT. I said "well I asked if you guys could hold my items for 20 minutes, but the lady there said NO and I really had to run, so... Just give me the check, pls". And I left so frustrated. They called me 10 SECONDS after I walked out! They KNEW it was me, come on, it's ridiculous. I'd rather give my baby's clothes away to those who NEED it. But for SOME LITTLE specific things, it can be worth buying there (in eg. those fancy dresses that the girls wear ONCE or twice and they cost 20/30 bucks everywhere else). Most of the shoes were in bad shape. I didn't like the people there. Period.

Shop it regularly for great brand name and boutique clothes for a fraction of the price of retail. Great selection, Great service! Very accomodating. Among some great finds over the past couple of years were: Dollhouse Boots w/ retail of $78, brand new for $5.99; a handmade Rocking Horse for $69 with a value of around $500, Lots of Zara, Greggy Girl (new @ $23), KashTen (also nwt), Flowers by Zoe, Le Pink, Little Mass, and Lipstik for the toddlers and tweens.... Jack and Janie, Gymboree, Le Top, and Kissy Kissy for the baby boys! LOVE THEM!

They have okay items that you can sometimes find a good deal on. Yet at other times I could find new items for cheaper at TJ Maxx, Ross, or Marshalls.

I tried to sell some name brand boy items to them (some with the tags still on) and they chose 2 items out of the 20 I brought. Both items were brand new (one retailed at $49 and the other retailed at $19) and I was offered $1.49 for both! Not joking! I know they are in the business of making money, but I would rather throw these items away then to allow them to make money off of me. It infuriated me!

Don't waste your time taking any items here to sell. I spent time going through my sons clothes, driving to the store, then driving back to pick up my unwanted items... Ridiculous and to think they were going to offer me $1.49!

I like to go here to drop off items. They are hit and miss with what they will take, however, the staff is unbelievable. They have acted snotty and uninterested. I have seen a woman drop off items to have the staff say they weren't taking any of it (she had unloaded many items). They were rude about it so the lady wanted to speak to the owner. The owner didn't seem like she cared, moreover, the employee has still been there when I have gone back. A relative? I have dropped off items for a couple of years now due to the fact that they carry new Melissa and Doug items that I get with my in store credit. They also have a pretty good selection of nice items but it is hit and miss. I have purchased a juicy couture sundress for my daughter (2T) for $10.

I've purchased and sold items at this store and I have to agree with may of the other parents' reviews. Their prices are a high on most things and they're pretty snooty about what they will buy from you. The most annoying thing, though, is the employees! I've gone into this store many, many times and am always amazed at how bored the employees act. When you enter the store someone may briefly glance in my direction (but not directly at me) and mutter a greeting - but only if they feel like it. If you have a question, you really have to seek out help and even then it's given begrudgingly. The employees give off this vibe like they're disgusted that you might actually be purchasing used children's items! It's annoyed me so much that I avoid the store if I have the time to make it into Plano to go to another resale shop. There is no enthusiasm there and even the owner isn't the nicest person. This is definitely not my favorite store. Occasionally, I've chosen to overlook the rudeness there and I've found some good deals. All in all, though, the clothing is just priced to high and I no longer shop for clothes there. For the same price you can get brand new items on clearance at department stores.

I have tried to shop at this Cutie Patootie on different occasions and aside from their slim selection, the times I have been in there the owner is very rude and acts like she is doing you a favor by allowing you to shop there. If you ever try to bring in anything to sell to them they will take less maybe 5% of what you bring in (that is being generous) and act like your stuff is not good enough for their store - give me a break it is a resale shop! And to top it off their clothing I feel is overpriced for a children's resale shop. I have several other friends in Frisco who have had the same treatment from her and her employees and now all of us refuse to shop there. Save your time and money and go to Kid to Kid in Plano or Once Upon a Child in Plano as well.

Cutie Patootie Kids is a resale children's clothing store. They carry up to a sz 14 now I believe. A lot of children's consignment shops do not carry sizes for our older children. They have 2 big sales a year when swapping out seasonal clothing. I attended one sale where all the winter clothes were marked down to $1.00. This included new with tag items. I have had good luck with them. The only thing I do not like about them is the way they are unpredictable with what they will by. Sometimes they only take name brands, yet as you browse through the clothing you will see off brands mixed in that are not of a great quality. I still give them a good rating because they keep a good selection and have the 2 major sales.

PROS: Wide variety, carry more sizes
CONS: Sometimes buying practices are not consistent

THe store is large for a resale shop, and has an excellent selection of all sized of children's clothing. The prices are a bit steep for resale, but the quality is worth the price on most items.

The toys in the front are new and many designer toys are way too pricey for most people.

I really love the openess of the store, kids are allowed to play while mom shops.

The only negative thing I can think to say about this place is I wish it were closer to my home!

So walk in whith an armfull of clothes and leave with ebnough to fill your little one's closet! Great deals. Good prices. And a huge selection of children's items.

This is not my favorite children's consignment shop, but it is also not at the bottom of my list. My main gripe with the place is the pricing on most things, a lot of things are priced much higher than I believe used childrens clothing should be priced. It's not expensive most of the time, it's just what you'd pay on unused cheap clothing or clearance rack items. The clothing here is generaly not play clothes, it is more upscale church going type clothing. They carry baby - size eight clothing. I have never had problems with the employees and they're always helpful. This is a great place to get kids clothes, if you don't mind slightly higher prices.

I stopped by here the other day in search of a bassinet but left with a bagful of clothes. I've shopped a little there before and the price and selection were great. This one day they were clearing out all of their summer clothes before fall and had everything for $1. We got great clothes for all three kids. The staff was helpful and the clothes were great.
*Update* Though I will still shop here, I won't be selling anything here. I took two bags of clothes in only to be told that they were all completely unacceptable and they wouldn't be purchasing any of them but that they would be happy to keep them and 'donate' them for me. I pick them up and too them to another consignment store who bought 80% of them. Wasn't thrilled with the selling experience.

PROS: good deals
CONS: not good for selling
