We ate at Sonny Bryans in the West End while visiting the King Tut exhibit at the DMA, this location is a convenient quick train ride from the Museum. Located in quaint area of restaurants in Dallas, the West End, Sonny Bryans has the best pork ribs I ever had. Try the big rib man plate, around 12 ribs for 18USD, but way more than enough food for 2, so you can share. It comes with 2 hearty sides, a salad, fresh rolls, and a hearty portion of pickles, sliced onions jalapenos. Sit by the window, you get to look down at all the street traffic and passersby, also has outdoor seating but it was too windy that day. Excellent onion rings, a must have and try the turkey and brisket. The smoked sausage was mediocre. Service was excellent. The lavatory is located in the basement, accessible thru a lift. Sonny's has multiple locations, and when we asked around for the best bbq, Sonny's was recommended again and again.

I love it! I have been eating there since I was a kid and I'm almost a senior citizen now. I recommend everyone to try this place.
5I love the brisket! Love the BBQ, but the onion rings are amazing! I'm wearing a Sonny Bryan's shirt as I type!
5They have great brisket, pulled pork, and baked potato. Overall, it is just all around goodness. Absolutely the best BBQ sauce ever!
5The absolute BEST barbecue ANYWHERE! I've tried them all. There may be a bigger selection of sides at other places, but, heck, you go for the BARBECUE!!!! And their onion rings are awesome, too. And try the okra. The cobbler... I'll stop now.
5I have been eating here since moving to Texas in 1965. Miss the one in McKinney. There needs to be one in Plano or Allen.
5My husband grew up on Red Bryan's BBQ and when Sonny took over he continued the tradition! Since we moved to Florida we have not been able to find anything as good! He LOVES the trips back to Dallas or Sonny Bryan's!
5Enjoy the barbecue at Sonny Bryan's. Have visited the West End and Irving locations I always look forward to eating at Sonny Bryans!!!!!!
5Without a doubt, the best barbecue on earth. I first dined at the Inwood location 40 years ago. You guys are the best! The service is always great, and loves that sauce!
5Outstanding Barbecue not to mention Sonny Bryan was a stellar gentleman. The best in Dallas!!!!
5This place has great bar-b-que sauce and food. I love the squirt bottles for sauce idea. Keep up the great work.
5Sonny Bryan's - don't get no better BBQ than Sonny Bryan's. Sonny Bryan's is the best BBQ. Have them everytime we are in texas. Just wish they would get one here in OKC.
5Every time I make it to Dallas for work I have to have me some of Sonny Bryan's BBQ I like when they send me just so I could go get some good food.
5Really great service at the Sandy store Wed. night. Our first time and the food was great also. Bbq frito pie. Some warm peach cobbler with bluebell homemade baneela eyes kreem and i want us 2 get MARRIED!!
5Been living in the Carolina's since '86 but EVERYTIME we go back to our hometown, Dallas, Sonny's is a MUST stop. The original on Inwood is still the best!!!
5Had lunch with you today. near heaven! Pulled pork sandwich drowning in bbq sauce my favorite. Thanks!
5Me and couple of buddies were in Dallas for business and found the Inwood BBQ shack and fell in love. Had the rib dinner one night and had to go back for the Pig Out Platter for lunch the next day. No nonsense, great BBQ.
5Best barbecue since they opened in the 40s! in Dallas... 'twas my Mom's fav too. I just LOVE them - best location is on Inwoodnear Parkland Hosp but the folks on Lovers Ln are real nice to you too. They both keep the smokers going doing their job to perfection. mmmm, good !!!

Just celebrated my Mom's birthday last week by ordering a family pack on-line and treating her to Sonny Bryan's at my house. A good deal with the first time ordering online and a great birthday.
5I'm from Alabama and I have missed my pork bbq since being in TX. Anything I've found here has either been too dry or too greasy. I have finally found the best pork bbq sandwich around and it's at Sonny Bryan's! Yay!!! If you guys were any closer to E. Plano, I'd be going to overeaters anonymous meetings!

My very favorite BBQ place....even though I live in Colorado....when my brother lived in Plano several years ago and I went down to visit him....I asked him what the best BBQ place was and Sonny Bryans was where he took me...never forgotten the place.
5I'm so happy to see you have some GF options!! Now I can feel comfortable bringing in my family and my Celiac little girl!! Yay! Thanks for coming to Utah!!
5Dad took me to Sonny's when I was eight years old. I have made sure that for every year on that day I always go back and think that Dad would be so proud of the way they have stayed the same excellent place with very reasonable priced BBQ anywhere on this planet.
5I'm from Chicago, and finally some barbecue that I love! Tried quite a few places in Dallas but this is the BEST!!!!!
5There was a line, but it moved fast enough. The tables were full so I ate outside. The sandwich was great. The Pulled Pork was so moist. The fresh buns were SUPER. Can't wait to go back and try the next meat.
5Just back from another great meal with friends at the Sandy Bryans Smokehouse . Your guys rock, great service, great food, Thanks!
5My husband and I ate there today for the first time and we loved it! And the prices!! The sauce is amazing and everything was tender and moist! Great hope to eat there soon again.
5I was raised on BBQ and this is pretty good. Not the best I've had, but you cant go wrong here. The staff is very friendly and it's a fun place to go. Plus you get delicious biscuits when you go :)
5Perfect location to treat your guest to some great Texas BBQ. Great food, affordable prices and an awesome party room!
5Love this place. Great lunch special. I always get the sausage sandwich and fried okra.
5So glad you are still in business! I have such fond childhood memories of my mother and I going to garage sales early on Sat. mornings and getting lunch at Smokey's. Chopped, extra sauce and relish with fries. New Orleans tries hard on their barbq., but it is just not Tex. style. Thanks for the great food and memories.

"This is a great place to eat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great BBQ! Love the pork, the other white meat!"
Had pulled pork (take out) WONDERFUL!!! We are now happy customers & will repeat often.
5Just tried your brisket, pulled pork, ribs and jalapeno sausage for the first time; it was excellent! The fried okra was also very good. We'll be back!
5Loved the Q at the Rock 'n Ribs on Saturday. Now I'm ready for a sit down. LOL I love your onion rings
5Visiting Texas for the first time. By far the best bbq I've ever had! Thanks for a great lunch!
5Just tried Sonny Bryan's for the first time. Loved the food, but have to let you know how well we were treated by the staff. They took great care of us, we're friendly, and genuinely cared about our dining experience. It's rare to eat out and feel like you are more than just another customer. We will definitely be coming back!

It was great food, the best barbeque I had in a long time , great atmosphere! my waitress was sweet and kind. I recommend this restaurant to everyone
5I know, I know, it's located in a tourist area so I shouldn't expect much. This would be true except for two facts, Sunny Bryan's longstanding reputation and it's BBQ in Texas - seems like you can't go too wrong. Mistake! First the

Cons: Bad food, bad service, bad experience
It must be a texan thing. You want to be in a bit of a carnivourous mood before hitting Sonny Bryans but make sure you are also packing some coin. We didn't find any bargains there.
3Try the frito pie - it's not on the menu, but it's fritos covered with beans and barbeque instead of chili - and it's GREAT !
