Totem Travel

Recently I placed a call to Totem travel because my husband and I are thinking about traveling to Spain next year. They told me their European specialist was Jill. I have not yet booked my trip with her but I have to say that just from speak with her, I do not plan on using any one else. She was so knowledgeable and honest about costs vs my budget which put me at ease knowing she has my best interest at heart.

One of the best travel agencies around. Helpful and always willing to go that extra mile. We have booked several trips with them during the years. Our special requests have always been accommodated and the trip arrangements have been

Do not go here. A while back I booked my honeymoon through them and it was a horrendous experience. Without a travel agent friend who eventually recovered and rebooked everything for us, it would have been totally ruined. From simple things like having trouble booking flights to Florida months in advance to more complex issues with all the fees they want to charge, it's just not the type of experience you'd expect from this type of industry. If you try to cancel they management get immature over the phone and stop even acting like they are a business. Even after more than a year I feel this is still one of the worst organizations I have ever done business with.

Also note: They HAVE been reported to both the Washington State Attorney General and the Better Business. Additionally, they were using certifications from travel associations on their that they were not actually a part of, and were reported to these as well.

On a brighter note, some of the individual travel agents that work here are fairly nice and helpful...if you are willing to risk everything else.

We have been delighted again and again with the recommendations for places to stay, activities to try and when to go. From Washington D.C. to Disneyland to Hawaii I feel like I can trust what they tell me, and one place Sandi recommended has us going back again and again.

Travel for us is a big investment and I've been amazed at the deals they have found for our family. Thank you to the team at Totem Travel for delivering high quality service over the past eight years.

Their public relations is severly lacking in common courtesy. Called to get some travel ideas and packages. Person who answered was the owner..who wouln't even give an insight off the top of her head...Just rudely told me, " if you're not going to pay us, I'm not going to do the leg work". Called other agencies who were more than happy to offer their advice...and then booked through them.

Being part of a cross cultural family and Microsoft employee we travel often. My aging grandparents in Spain requested I visit them at the last minute. I called Totem Travel to book airline tickets for myself and children. The rep who answered the phone was not willing to help me unless I "came in to set up an account." When I explained that I had two small children and needed to book the tickets quickly ? she suggested ?that I go to Travelocity.? I did not want to book this trip by myself as there are too many connecting flights. I found another agency to help me. Passport Travel / Amex was willing to help me and did not ask me to "come in to setup an account."

We have used these folks for at least ten years now, and they have never let us down. We decided to go on a cruise at the last minute this year, and they put everything together for us very quickly. They are planning our trip to Germany for us in the fall. We have also found their website to be very helpful, directing us quickly to the information and/or person we need

After using Totem Travel, I am DEFINITELY one of their converts. Several friends recommended them while I was busy planning my wedding (and control freak though I am) I checked them out. Our agent, Jennefer, was amazing. I got exactly the level of control I wanted without the added stress. We saw 3 islands over 10 days (five plane trips - no hassles - wow), saved about 4 thousand dollars from what my research indicated we would spend, and had a flawless itinerary. Aside from planes, hotels, and automobiles, she booked us time with dolphins, luaus, exclusive dining, even got our rentals arranged ahead of time. I have to say, that in 70 odd trips, this one was arranged the absolute best. Well...my ego can take it...since the result was so perfect. Any question as to whom I'll be using in the future? Nope. :)

I've used totem Travel for as long as they have been in business. In fact, if I'm traveling with other people I insist that they use Totem Travel. Most of them have stayed with Totem Travel even though they live in Spokane or Tacoma.They have handled our travel arrangements to Disneyland, Disneyworld, Mexico, Hawaii at least 14 or 15 cruises and many more places to numerous to mention. I would never even consider using anyone else. So if you want the best call Linda, Jennifer or Sandy,I've used them all a one time or another and they're all great.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you, Sandi, and Totem Travel for all the great service you have given me over the years. You always take the time to answer any questions I have or find out the best fare available for whatever mode of travel I am choosing. Case in point: I booked a Fall Colors cruise with you for myself, my Mom and my Sister for September and a month after booking, you took it upon yourself to check out the costs and found out that they lowered the price for my cabin by $400 and re-booked it for me. That "above and beyond" attitude saved my family $1200 for the cruise and allows us to take a few more excursions than we had originally planned. Thanks!!! I have used Totem Travel for all my travel for over 15 years. They are friendly, efficient and most of all have personally experienced the tours, hotels and restaurants they recommend. My travels have taken me to central and eastern Europe, Mexico, Canada, the British Isles, sunny destinations in the US, and cruising the Carribean. Their agents are friendly and courteous and always "go the extra mile" to ensure that I have the best vacation ever. They have also held special travel education days on specific areas, such as Spain and Scotland that have given a unique "flavor" to the destination. When planning our family?s summer trip to Italy we consulted many agencies in the Seattle area but Totem Travel stood out as the best! Totem Travel has helped me with my travels for over 8 years now. I always know that I will have everything I need for a smooth easy trip whether I'm heading to Europe, Mexico or Jamaica. They make all the arrangements before I go-flights, transportation and accommodations, that way once I arrive all I have to do is relax and explore, no figuring out where I'll be staying or how I'll be getting there. The agents at Totem Travel make my trips easy and that's what I like.

We went to Totem Travel agent for a Hawaii trip. They showed us some great routes and priced out every details. Although we ended it not booking it with them, we liked their service and no, they are not pushy at all.

I stopped by Totem Travel to gather information for my honeymoon planning. i spoke to Linda and she was very helpful and answered many of my questions along with offering suggestions that I didn't even consider. She gave me some reading material and invited me to contact her with any questions along with invited me to their upcoming information Carribbean Night. I will most likely book my honeymoon through them. You don't get the personal touch using a website!
