Went here for my boyfriends birthday party this weekend and the atmosphere is super cool. Our waitress was incredibly rude from the begining though. I don't know if that's there thing like that sandwich shop where they curse at you or what

I have been going to the Alibi Room forever, but I didn't realize they had delicious pizza until my last visit! If you can get a table I recommend it. I always feel cool when I'm at the Alibi Room, like it is some esoteric spot that nobody knows about except for other cool people like me. Love to take people from out of town. I'll walk them through the lower levels of the market, get them real lost and turned around and then pop out into the alley and into the bar. People feel like they are getting the real local treatment.

Pros: Pizza is delicious

Cons: Crowded

I was quite surprised by this little place tucked away down post alley. I loved the salad I ordered. Definitely a great place for drinks if you are near the market but don't want to go to one of numerous crowded touristy places near Pike Place. Friendly staff and atmosphere was great for an evening out. I would recommend to a friend.

I went to the Alibi Room with a group of my girls for a birthday gathering and had an amazing time. The pizza is so tasty with all fresh ingredients and so much flavor. I love that the crust is thin and the ingredients stay on the pizza (unlike some pizza's where the grease makes the toppings slide off). The staff at the Alibi Room was very accommidating and friendly. I usually wouldn't fill out a review, but I had to let everyone know about the Alibi Room because of the great expierence we had. We are defiantly going back!!!!

this place is definately worth looking for and you are probably close to it without knowing. it reminds me of small local places in new york. i was just here for drinks and they only had a few beers on tap but some were unusual -and good- offerings i didnt find at other area places.
this is not at all like the touristy places nearby.

This place has lots of gorgeous ambience in the evening. I've been there dancing a couple of times and the music was fun, unique and very danceable (and not all repetitive techno stuff). A couple nights a month, they also have a Bollywood night with Indian dance music.

We found some different and unique tastes here at the Alibi Room. We weren't sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised but the taste of the food.

Alibi is great! Not the best location as for giving directions but I had a great experience. Corey (the owner) was so helpful to make my bday special this weekend. He even came in with an injured foot to make sure everything went smoothly. Thank you! Corey askd for a DJ, connected me with the bartendar and made every effort to make my bday special. Only negative thing was the party that was already there stayed the whole night which I didn't anticipate. The bartender, and DJ were so nice and went out of their way for me and my friends! Thank you so much~

Pros: Great customer service, cool employees

Cons: hard to find location

Totally cool place. It's a little mysterious. If you were meeting a blind date, this would definitely add to the intrigue, as there is no place else like it. Basically you will never just 'happen upon' this joint - you have to know what you were looking for. In my case, I knew what I was looking for and was thought I was lost until I finally found the door. It kind of has this mysterious kind of walk down the cobblestone alley near the Pike Place Market and the door will not be obvious, but it is definitely there. It has that prohibition/what's the password feel. Great place for dinner and drinks. I dig it.

This is a great place to meet friends for cocktails after a long day in the office or after shopping at the pike place market. My freinds and i always meet at the Alibi for drinks before heading to a show at showbox. I enjoyed a really tasty strawbery lemon drop martini, supper yummy.. Some wild creation by a very helpful bartender named Corey. I must say the service has improved since my last visit(there is talk of new ownership). We did not have to wait long for our appitizers (apple slices with brie cheese platter) and dinner (grilled salmon with fresh asparagus on a bed of mashed patatoes).

I remember walking into the Alibi when an acknowloging look at least , would be given from from behind the bar or by a server as you sat down. No matter how packed, late or drunk everyone was, you knew someone would get to you. The first time I went in after a while of being away ,I sat and waited with my friend almost 10 min., only about 8 people in the place only to recieve a tanqueray/tonic without a lime. You don't have to be the Master Bartender to know this simple drink. Server had to waved down for another drink.
Second visit 3/4 full. Again sat down, no acknowlogment at all after 15 minutes. Not at least until, we were walking out the door, with not even a glass of water on our table.
What happened Alibi?

As a long time fan of the Alibi Room, I was shocked to go there recently for drinks with a friend, only to realize I was wearing my invisible suit. The service was TERRIBLE, I tried to give the bartender the benefit of the doubt (bad day, drunken customers, recent mugging in the market) but nothing could shake the reality that we could have gotten naked at the bar and started going the macarena and she wouldn't have noticed. Never mind that the cook had to come talk to us at the beginning with the opening, "we've just had a gas leak....." Please just serve us a drink, how about water? Anything!

Not reviewing about the restaurant. Im talking about the bar downstairs. It's an underground, cool and hip little place with a great atmosphere and a great live DJ. It feels like you are in the mini private party. The drinks selection are though limited. A great place to dance crazy. Its a different experience than those bars in belltown bar or pioneer square.

We ordered our food at 9pm to eat in the downstairs bar, we checked back numerous times, finally received our food at 10:30pm & it was barely warm! I asked to speak to the manager. We told her what had happened with our order. She told us that it was to be expected because their kitchen does not have the capacity to serve food to the upstairs & downstairs. It was OUR FAULT for ordering the food & wanting to eat in the downstairs bar. The bartender told us it was not a problem but, it did not seem to make any difference to her. IF THEIR KITCHEN DOES NOT HAVE THE CAPACITY TO SERVE FOOD TO THE DINING AREA & THE BAR THEN THEY SHOULD NOT OFFER FOOD SERVICE IN THE BAR! In the end she comped the cheaper of the two meals. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!

I've yet to have anything off the menu that's been less than great - the service sometimes leaves a little to be desired in terms of promptness, but it's always friendly.

The atmosphere's casual and laidback, and the food's a cut above the norm. Usually an interesting assortment of local art on the walls as well.

The Alibi Room has absolutely terrifc food! I strongly recommend the hummus plate and the bruchetta plate. I wish i could recommend more- but unfortunately our server did not come around to take our orders! We had a rather large party and several of us wanted more than just drinks and appetizers- but we never got to order any of the food on the menu that everyone else in the place was enjoying. Despite not getting much service- i will definately go back to try more of the food!

Last night's dinner at The Alibi Room was a pleasant surprise. Although I hadn't heard rave reviews about the food, our party was very impressed with the cuisine as well as the service. Our group gave high marks to "The New Mac" (pesto version), seafood linguine, and the night's special ravioli--a crab and basil concoction. Grilled shrimp with risotto cakes was another hit, although the accompanying pancetta left much to be desired. With reasonable prices and a friendly, helpful staff to boot, The Alibi Room will definitely earn a return visit from me. Direction suggestion--find the golden pig and head downstairs to the alley!

Friend of mine took me here on my first trip to Seattle. The salmon was excellent and we had a great server. Atmosphere was pleasant and surprisingly private. I guess that's because most people who go here are not concerned with "being seen". The place is off the beaten path, there's a definite variety in the patrons, and the place isn't "shiny and new", which is exactly what I like. I'm sure during my short visit that I got a better feel and appreciation for Seattle at "The Alibi Room" than I would at many other restaurants.

This spot is literally a single large room, including the bar and the kitchen, which (together with lots of hard surfaces) makes for a great deal of noise. The menu is full of Northwest-style and Italianish standby dishes, but they do not vary sufficiently in taste and style. Many vegetarian selections available, and a great location right at the Market. Harried servers find it difficult to give you the attention they seem to want to give. It's good, but other places are better.
